Re: Equipment

WO1 William Brown:
Plt Sgt Tanya Redgrave:
"Oh man!  You only best be checking to see if that chamber's empty or not Brown!  My weapons' tight, I'm a Ranger still remember?" Tanya says busting Browns' stone's about checking to see if the RPK is clean or not.

"Force of habit, sergeant. Just force of habit."

And a DAMN good one too! It's standard saftey proceedure for all properly trained soldiers to check the status of any and every weapon they lay hands on. This is usually done by first completely unloading and reloading. Of course if you're picking up one in the middle of a fight that's a bit different....

Brown and Tanya, can you please inform the other of exactly how many mags, ammo, etc is being swapped so that they can update their character sheet. By PM is fine if you don't feel like RPing it.

Re: Equipment

That's why I said 'clean!'  No responsible person owning weapons wouldn't do that.

PM sent to Brown.

Mary Finnegan:
Don, please don't write down and post everything we have.  That's not my intention for you to do and it would be redundant.  After all, the equipment thread already exists.  Could you just RP Don either following the order or not?

Yesterday i was on the funeral last weeks has led up to. Hopefully it will lighten up on my life. Will post when I have read some things over.

I hope you were a comfort to those celebrating the life and memory of that special person, Don.  And I hope someone was the same to you.  Please don't worry about this while you're dealing with more important things.

Re: OOC2

New thread up. Post away with your impressions/reactions. The city proper is still about another 10-15 minutes along the road.

Don, I believe your character has very little possessions since the "mugging" Only those items left behind (pack and sleeping bag) were left - everything else was stripped right down to underwear.

Might be an idea to check out the equipment list recently updated on the yahoo site and request a few items.... A weapon would also be nice if somebody had a spare.

Don, I gave Michelle the PM-63 I had been toting around for some time.  Since she's not going, I'd suggest getting it from her!  You've got my blessing.

Thanks Tanya. Haven't shot a lot in this game, and probably won't forward either, but a gun is good.

Re: OOC2

Updated the equipment thread for those without excel.

Don, you might want to draw a few more stores.... Those extra mags you have don't fit too well in pockets.
On the other hand, there's not exactly a lot of spare personal equipment either...

Tanya, I plugged into the commo system, and as we're pretty empty I imagine everyone heard it.  I didn't intend to make it sound like it was only to Don, sorry.

Katka's report card:

"Doesn't play well with others."

:)  That was a very nice post, and not just for the ending humor.  It really said a lot about your character and her experiences.

Donnachaidh (2nd Lt):
Don gets the microphone to the outer loudspeakers.

"Go away, I'm gonna keep moving!", he shouts out in Polish, and keeps the pace forward.

There is no loudspeakers. In fact the radio that's presently fitted into the vehicle was scaveneged from elsewhere.
When found, the BTR-80 had suffered significant damage:
<quote>This vehicle has suffered damage to it’s Radio, Engine and Traverse. It is no longer capable of swimming due to numerous holes in the armour.</blue>
All but the armour has been subsequently repaired/replaced.

Re: OOC2

I need to know how fast the BTR was moving before the crowd and how fast Don is driving now.
Essentially I would like to know if Don will be using the human blockade as speed humps, or driving slowly enough that they can move out of the way with only a small chance of injury.

Hands up all those who think their characters are being mentally screwed up? First Tanya killing the pregnant girl and now Don having to run over several starving people, what's next? :P

Re: OOC2

I like to think moral dilemmas add an interesting dimension to the game. :P
Besides, if you'd decided not to grind a bunch of barely armed and starving refugees into the pavement with a 10 tonne vehicle, I'm sure another solution would have presented itself. :D

Re: OOC2

I agree about the dilemmas, they really put you on edge.

Don didn't want to drive through the crowd. But I was in a lot of time-pressure myself, doing the post since nuked wanted an answer. I borrowed my fathers computer for a few mins, and didn't have too much time to think. Which I guess was rather fitting in the situation that the chars are in right now :)
