Looked like the coding was all wrong. Fixed now.

Added a list of characters in order of rank in the notepad thread. Gets a bit messy at the lower end though as several characters are the same rank.
Also, just because a character is technically outranked by another doesn't mean they must defer to them. A character of one nationality is not actually under the authority of a higher ranked character of a different nationality. A character of a different service (army/navy/marines/airforce) may also not be under another characters authority even if the same nationality.
Actual experience also has some influence (how many special forces types would listen to a clerk for example).

Even so, it's usually best to defer to those of a higher rank if only out of respect. There will be a shake up of the character roster shortly though as I "retire" some of the NPC's.

Did I miss something? Is Brooks out of the game? I was assuming he was just having an episode and I posted IC to try and coax him back. He hasn't replied yet but Brown posted like Doc was gone for good. What's up? Please advise.

He's gone but may be back sometime in the future.

Can retire their items to the team or at least trade off gear?  We really don't have much as a group.  Is Michelle still in it?  She's got my PM-63 still!
