Katka hasnt changed out of the civilian clothing yet. Im wearing my russian webbing and carrying my AK but, my uniform is still in my pack having not had a chance to put it back on yet. (And thank god for that givin our current situation.) Ive been changing my appearence in the char discription also, to keep up with current events if you want to take a look at what im wearing.

Re: Who's on First?

No worries mate, I don't expect you guys for a minute to listen to some guy who just popped out of the bushes!

As players though, we know that Gerhard hasn't got a lot of say over what the partisans do. Your PCs aren't to know that. They probably think a guy who still answers to the chain of command would be able to issue clear orders to the partisans, but this apparently isn't the case.

Our big problem, of course, is that Gerhard has so far only talked to people of a lesser rank. If one of the officers could talk to him, it'd make this a tad easier as he can work out where he stands in relation to you. Sorry for the metagaming though, please ignore that if it's out of place.

Whoops!
I should have checked on Katka's clothing before I wrote that post...
Oh well, lets just say her accent was enough to tip the Partisans in that direction. Besides, some of the other characters are wearing full Soviet uniforms AND armed with AK-74's. You could be Spetznatz infiltrators on some nefarious mission or other.

Re: Who's on First?

Wow! I take a couple of days away from Rpol and look at all the amazing posts! Keep it up and everyone else join in on the fun.

I would like to remind everyone that most of you had never even met Katka until a few hours before. Good to see how quickly a bond can develop. :P

I suggest that one of the officers include themselves in the discussions. Since Sergio and Finnegan haven't even looked in on the game in weeks, that leaves only Cam or the wounded Don. I'm sure Don would LOVE to be involved with this, especially since that's exactly the sort of thing he came to Poland for in the first place!
Failing either of them, Brown is the next in command (by rank) although anyone with any real military experience will tell you that as a WO1 he actually outranks god (highest non-commisioned rank you can get).

Re: Who's on First?

Yo Nuked dude, what's the current dispositions of our guys?

If Corrigan heads forwards with Herr Polizei, he would want to tell someone to spread the word, and make sure all parties (including those over the radio) are appraised of the situation.  With Tanya near Katka he feels a little better, but the word does need to be spread ASAP...

Can we get a run down of who's around?  I think I've lost track of where everyone is...

Lost track of where everyone is...

And you think I know? :S

Up until a few days ago, Gerhard, Stoner, Smith, Virgil, Brooks and Brown were all at the roadblock with three partisans.

Sebastian and Finnegan were aproximately 50 metres back towards where the BTR-80 was stopped around a corner (approximately 100m from the roadblock).

Everyone else was in or around the BTR-80.

Since then, as far as I know, Smith and Gerhard walked back to Sebastian and Finnegan. They picked those two up and continued back to the BTR-80. At that point Katka showed her face and things got a little confusing.

I could be wrong about all that though - I'm going from memory as I write this post and not looking over the thread.

So, if all that above is correct, everyone except Brown,Virgil and Brooks is at the BTR-80. In the past 24 hours, Brooks has posted that he is returning to the BTR (why I'm not too sure since there are better qualified medics than he there and his assigned post is BRDM driver...)

Re: Lost track of where everyone is...

Pretty much because I AM a medic; by trade, skill and assignment prior to the fall of Kalisz. And Brooks has no clue what anyone elses medical skill is in the game... so unless someone is introduced as a Doctor or I see them remove a spleen, I'll be making rounds. :)

Not to mention Brooks thinks the Poles are idiots and doesn't feel like standing around twiddling thumbs as they freak out over a woman that speaks with a slavik accent that is with a dozen NATO people. :)

That, and I wasn't sure how close the front of his vehicle was to the checkpoint since I never left it. So just to make sure I headed back to find the most serious of wounded people. That would put me where I wanted to be.

Re: Lost track of where everyone is...

Brooks is moving from his assigned vehicle to the BTR. They are approximately 100m apart.
Also, you might want to remember that the Poles are a little edgy right now. They're not very inclined to allow armed people they don't know wander about as they wish. Moving about without an escort by either Stoner or Gerhard, is an open invitation to, at best, receive a rifle butt to the head...

Guess I get rifle butted in the head, cause Brooks is pretty much fed up and going stir crazy standing around and needed to move.

SITREP clarification

I'm still getting a feel for this game so please forgive my ignorance.

Are we assuming that all the PC's have been notified of the agreement between the partisans and the player party and picking up from there?

Or, should Sebastian/Dietrich/Corrigan post IC to let everyone else know what the plan is?

Now, to get my papers in order...

; )

Whatever way you want it. I'm just skipping past the negotiations (too boring and drawn out to play through) and getting to where their ould be some action - what happens if somebody objects to being searched or interrogated for example...

Where did the "compromise" post go? I can't remember all of the stipulations. Two of us keep our weapons and we get two "hostages" right? I'm going to go ahead and post; just edit it if I get somethring wrong.

I was content with that also.. but the more people posted the more I pictured Brooks getting pissed. Never said he was a rational man, war does strange things to a person after years of it. LOL. Gotta love roleplaying. It's all good whatever the results. ;)

It's like that classic scene where everyone's shouting and getting more and more wound up*, kinda how you'd actually see it happen.
