Prison

This is a brick building converted from a purpose that cannot be determined from here. The cell is approximately 3 metres by 3 metres with most of the old window bricked up. The remaining gap has been closed with bars that seem to be made from concrete reinforceing mesh. The wooden door has been reinforced by a layer of mesh on the hall side and a bar helps to lock it closed.
Furnishings consist of a few piles of straw, old mattresses and a few blankets.
You have only the clothes you are wearing. A piece of bread, bowl of stew and jug of dirty water are issued by the Polish guards each day.
You have only been here since last night. You were captured hiding in a forest after your unit (256th Brigade US) was overrun by the Pact troops 3 days before near the small town of Zdunska Wola.

Re: Prison

Around mid morning you hear a disturbance outside your cell in the hall. The sound of flesh striking flesh and breaking bones sounds almost welcome - depending on who you imagine is receiving such harsh treatment.

Re: Prison

I'll listen to see if I can make out any shouting, and if I can, whether I can take a stab at what language it is. (Trying to work out what is going on, and who is beating up whom). If I believe the guards are being beaten up I will start shouting for help. If I think the guards are beating up some random prisoners, I will keep my trap shut.

Re: Prison

Tanya listens intently to the disturbance outside the cell. Although she cannpt make out the words, she hears English and what she thinks is Danish along with another language she does not recognise. It sounds like a fight and the noises carry on for about 30 seconds.

Re: Prison

You hear rattling of keys and then your cell door swings open revealing a rather unfit man.

Re: Prison

Is he wearing a guard's uniform? Does he look ready to fire if there is any trouble or unprepared for an attack?

Re: Prison

The man in the doorway is wearing an ill-fitting polish uniform. He whispers "keep silent".

Re: Prison

Mal steps forward after been asked subtlety by the company's commander for volunteers. "Sir, I guess it looks like I will be volunteering." with that said, Mal moves slowly down towards the east door where dave & Don are standing. Peering out the already opened door, wait to get the all clear from Dave before stepping out the door to survey the ground trying to stay concealed at all times.
