Arminna's next swing connects but fails to penetrate the dwarf's armor.

(Still having troubles hitting the broad side of a dwarf [lol])

(Yeah, I know; I seem to be hitting below the law of averages.  Let me have one more swing at him.)

Arminna swings at the dwarf distracted by the crossbow bolt, and lands a solid hit (3 hp).

After Arminna and her group take care of the fallen dwarves, she offers up a short prayer of thanks then informs the captain that the task is complete.

Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

well she says "lets return home for now Gather our things report success see what the next move will be"

your able to make it back home without incident... the city is prospperous and secure. another you go into a moderately fancy looking building where a priestess waits and listens carefully and then nods "congratuations to all of you you did well... go about as you will I must speak with your captian in private.

(oh add another 400 to your XP that should be enough to go to level 2 as Im tryig to keep XP in this game high (to counterbalance the slowness inevitable to PbP)

Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

For Nelin:

When you report for duty your ordered elsewhere to a room in a temple usualy used for briefings and debriefings.

you recieve a nod of acknowledgmeent from the senior priestess who says

"Nelin you've shown great progress and potential as a soldier... we are curious, what would you think of being reassigned to the dwarven front, its far more dangerous but is both better pay, quicker advancement, and potentialy a share of any proceeds." asks waiting

"we have a team we want you to join" she says carefully analyzing your body language

"they've shown promise and just  got back into the city today... having routed the dwarves"

"This route here" points "is a important passage between the unofficial border between our influence and the dwarves we need good control of it to keep them from striking at us and to be able to strike at them... were also planning, latter down the road to take a portal to the plane of minerals from the dwarves... if we do so... we'll be able to seriously curtail their ability to fund their war effort and somewhat able to better fund ours."

(OOC: Im bad at detailing things as much as I know I should... so please dont hesitate to ask for some things if you need them

PS. Apolagies for how disjointed it came out kept rewriting it.)

Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

Nelin bows back at the priestess when entering and listens intently to what she says.  When she finishes Nelin looks at her and states; If fthis is were I am needed I will go Priestess.  If this helps our people and the temple I will go willingly, for there is no greater glory then serving the temple and our people.

OOC: I know its corny but its the way I wish to play the character.

"they were given leave to disperse for the next few days... before the unit leaves, I should have mentioned that... still you should meet the commander and some others in the mean time just seeing what they do in moments of leisure can be insightful."

"Yes, Ma'am" Arminna replies.  Then, she looks for a quiet place to clean her sword, then does her evensong.

Things are quiet enough  and the simple caverns enhance the sound of your songs.

does she seek to socialize or practice or what after that?

Nelin goes and finds the commander to get a briefing on the sitution.  It is best to know what one is getting into and to be prepared.  To many battles are lost by not being prepared or lack of knowledge.

Re: the tunnels tremble with anticipation.

she'll explain one or two things mostly that a lot of this will be in tunnel fighting and then asks "do you have any command experience? I might need someone to take 3 or 4 troops with them as I'm planning to divide and try getting the dwarves in a crossfire... other then that theirs nothing of import im afraid.

Nelin shakes his head in somewhat dicust.  "No Commander, I do not have any command experience.  I have always been more of a line fighter."  His face even shows that he is embarrased by this.
