Taras Vladimirovich Shevchenko:
I see the americans were up to no good. I think we should stay here for the night. Lets sort out the wounded and prisoners, start a watch and contact headquarters t the University. This is an internationl situation that needs clearance from above.
With the increased Soviet activity, the DRI HQ at UBC and on the Island are in an increased state of agitation. Clarke has no immediate instructions, as the battle area appears to be up-island, nothing the team can realistically affect. Support for their current operation will be limited, though.
"If you need to maintain your position then I support your call. Moving out at night and getting ambushed would be a disaster. Sounds like Belanger and Sheeler aren't going to die. Quite a little Safari you've had!
"Overall, an American incursion is a serious deal. It's all that more important to reassert our authority in communities in the Valley. It's still better than people starting to look to the HAs for some kind of stability, but not much."
