Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

HE entered the ship, silently grimacing at the tight quarters. He headed to the module being added for the other humans, finding a bunk as far from the door as possible. He began the meticulous job of arranging his effects everything in precise military order. He soon had everything arranged how he wanted and finally took the time to change into the fatigues he had been issued, though he did put the leather trench back on over it.

He sat down and quietly began breaking down and cleaning his laser rifle making sure that every piece was in perfect working order. His life could depend on it, others lives could depend on it.

" we have the MRI< quantum Imager and Spectroscopy Stations running, The auto Doc and cryo pods are wired in but the Pharmacy Station still need to be loaded and That needs a doc to do right, all of the supplies are stored in the cold bay and inventoried, all he has to do is load the canisters and set up the dosages.”

” I never saw a Cesti with your coat before, It’s beautiful.” Anne smiled as she hesitantly brushed the fur on her paw.” All I ever saw was that Black and gray stalking up around in the Pitt looking for some Blue girl

OOC: Black and gray…Hmmm sounds familiar….”

Aziza's ears go back at Anne's report.
"Why are humans requiring to read the Cesti Displays?  I am being the pilot and can reading them fine.  Are humans expecting to be flying the ship as well?"
Then the rest of the message sinks in.  "Black and Grey Cesti?  Fur patterns indicates Clan. . . would this Cesti Fur pattern be happening to be having Grey Stripes on Black Body?  And be happening to be having one ear damaged?"

Raul looks over to the pharmacy station, "What do you mean 'needs a doc to do right'? Do I need to program the pharmacy station into this lab so the module recognizes it? Or are you just referring to dispensing of the medicine in the cold bay?"

" Well sir," The tech looked over to Raul," The specs are loaded but A doctor has to actually install the MED packs We're not certified to handle the Pharmaceuticals. All you have to do is enter the codes off the pacs into the console and load the modules into the system.

After the question from Aziza The young woman thought for a moment, then pulled a PDA out of her pocket pulling up a snapshot of the Cesti,”  took that for my niece is that the one your looking for? The image is of a Cesti twice Aziza’ size with larger more pronounced fangs as well as dozens of scars and old wound on it’s face neck and shoulders from numerous duels with other Cesti.

OOC:

Raul, the techs have no medical training so they need you to make the final instillations and set up the system Craft Pharmaceuticals DC 15 20 minutes

Aziza the Cesti in the image is Pasha but it is one of their enforcers, a Cesti named Aruhn, he’s one of their “problem solvers”

"This is being disturbing." Aziza concludes, examining the image.  "This is being dangerous Cesti from inferior Pasha clan.  "I am being contacting blue woman to warn her to avoid dangerous Cesti Aruhn.  Is bad idea."

After making quick contact with T'risa K'mahda Aziza begins examining the ship's systems carefully, worrying that the Pasha clan had sabotaged the ship.  A cluster of small robots detach themselves from her harness and begin to scour the ship on spider-like legs, peering into crannies and examining wires with their sensors, while feeding the data back to Aziza as she herself crawls around the ship, examining it for anything that seems odd.

OOC~ The Dice Roller knows.  It managed to give the lowest roll to the most important of six, while the five that didn't really matter all scored hugely.

As Raul continues to get the drugs loaded into the medical bay, he keeps tabs on the ensuing fight going on outside. Hmm, sounds like it was over as quickly as it was started. Wonder if I'm going to end up patching anyone before we get off station.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

With a few final adjustments to the medical database the autodoc, pharmacon and drug dispenser beep, ping and click coming to life and reporting their status as ready for use. The well stocked lab and medical center is state of the art for such a remote area allowing anything short of full reconstruction to be performed without risking the patient’s life and sanity. Along side the medical supplies a stock of cybernetic components and diagnostic equipment is stored allowing basic maintenance and repair of damage systems as well as the fabrication of many common implants.

Aziza’s spiders spread out through the ship poking prodding and probing the systems and cataloguing changes to the systems to accommodate human passengers and crew. With few exceptions the systems are 100% functional and fully interfaced with the ships inboard systems. The few problems are quickly sorted out by the industrious little bots as they hum chirp and squawk at one another through the ships comm lines.

Ships medical supplies allow for the production and use of drugs and medical procedures by depleting a reservoir of chemicals as if the Doctor was purchasing them. The cost of creating a drug or performing a procedure is deducted from the pool until it is depleted at which time the stores must be replenished.

Effective wealth for medical supplies and procedures: 48

a similar resivior of parts and components exist for ship epairs and the fabrication of personal equipment, weapons and ammunition.
this resevoir allows a tecnician to fabricate the needed euipment and parts without using his own wealth to do so. it may be restored or improved by salvaging parts and equipment during game play.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Raul watches with satisfaction as the system responds to his commands and loads the drugs. Well, we seem to be very well stocked for this run. I hope we don't need to make use of this. He then queries the system to see what the engineering supply looks like, as he's also the team's engineer. He whistles when the stockpile is listed. Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. We are definitely loaded for bear for this mission. I wonder what we weren't told to have this kind of stock pile. I'd better draw up schematics of emgergency items. With that, he logs into the main CA database, and begins pulling cyber and weaponry schematics.

Leo dropped off his bags in his cubicle of a room and smiled, he liked the simplicity of the thing.  The ship as a whole was welcome to him, he liked a chance to relax as much as the next man, he was fairly certain and a little depressed that KVO-1295 was their assault marshal.  Certainly the man was good, and two marshals in one space... there was going to be toes stepped on as soon as the lines between hostile situation and mundane began to blur if ever.

He didn't know just how paranoid the seemingly human marshal was, if at all, and that might serve to make things even more difficult.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

T'risa arrived having employed the services of two porters. Each of the porters was laden with suitcases and bags. T'risa led them into the ship and had them deposit her belongings into the cabin that was designated to her. She tipped the men generously before leading them off the vessel. Left to herself she took the opportunity to wash off the Cesti remains, although she felt as though she wouldn't really feel clean until she'd taken a proper shower. She quickly changed into one of her remaining set of fatigues as she inspected her recent purchases.

She was unhappy with the clothing selection available on short notice on station having only had just enough time to replace her government issued underwear with something kinder and gentler and some Terran clothing "genez and Teeshort". The unfamiliar words tripped off her tongue as she tried to pronounce it in the same manner the trader had. That, a good pair of boots and a heavy overcoat formed all of her new clothing options. She shrugged to herself as she folded her clothes, placing them carefully away. Her wardrobe would expand with every successful bounty. She also obtained some clothing repair material, the legs on the "genez" were far too long to make it over her legs. Some time would have to be invested in altering them to the correct length.

It didn't take her long to have all of her baggage stored and for her rest area to look more like a home. A purple and white throw over the bed, and a cushion for the seat, as well as some of her favorite scent did a lot to make the room more hospitable.

She sat in the seat, reviewing the presents she'd managed to obtain for everyone. She arrayed them all on her bed, reviewing each one individually. Peppers earrings would work their way to her at the end of the vendors work day. T'risa suspected Pepper would be delighted at them. She was sure she'd managed to find something to please everyone, although the doctor in particular was hard to buy for. She leaned back on the seat, meditating while she waited for the lift-off announcement.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Balkir presence was announced to everyone by the apparent swearing and shuffle of men trying to keep a figure who did not want be surrounded surrounded. Several station guards and other authority figures were surrounding Balkir as he tried to make it aboard the ship. He had a duffel bag slung over his shoulder a large machine gun over the other, an ax on his back crossed over with a shotgun, both his pistols were on his belt next to his sword. As he finally managed to shove them off and show them he was leaving and had the correct permits they finally backed off and Balkir stalked up to the ship swearing the whole time. He entered the ship and immediately wanged his head on the short Cesti sized entrance. He moved to the quarters designated his. He tossed his gear next to the bed and striped fatigues off and then his boots. He took his gun belt off, but kept his sword on. He cleaned some of the Cesti off him and his clothes and sighed.

He then began the task of finding something to eat. After about 5 minutes he found exactly what he was looking for...the kitchen. After much searching around he found something to his liking, a hunk of meat that would have normally fed at least 2 and a half others he hauled out of cold storage and began eating cold. He took it back to his room where he finished it with the help of a bit of Soyko. He was feeling much better and less grouchy. He kicked back on his tiny bed and began to doze, been a long day.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

The marks man returned a bit later than others, cursing under his breath. Damn overzealous station security. Sure he had taken a shot at a distance most of them thought impossible. Sure it was crowded with a lot of innocent bystanders. His only defense and the last thing they wanted to hear. He had hit his target. Pure and simple. These back world baboons could not appreciate the art of his weapon.

He returned to his room, his beloved rifle being meticulously guarded and pampered in the tight narrow corridors. He gingerly broke the weapon down placing it in the large aluminum case right next to a anti-matter Light Fifty. The two weapons took up he whole case when broken down plenty of padding and room for the energy packs that powered them. His eyes glittered at the weapons.

He put the case away pulling off his boots and laying back on the bed. Relaxing and getting ready mentally for what lay ahead. His thoughts returning to the memories of his wife and child. He had not seen nor heard from them in 3 years. He would have to talk to Rhic later about getting some info on them.

Rhic arrived outside the Crows berth with several Pallets of emergency relief supplies and investigation equipment including several loads of forensics equipment, moments later he spotted Spin leading a merchants delivery crew to the Crow with all of the good Pepper had purchased for the team.
Directing the last supplies and equipment to be stored Rhic looked around the docks, Loaded his personal equipment into the airlock and slapped the comm panel by the door.
This is Rhic, we are go for launch, I repeat you may depart at your discretion Aziza, destination and course data loaded into your NavComp.”.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Aziza climbs onto her ship's control couch, actually a lump in the bridge covered in the soft genetically engineered grass that serves as carpet on Furesh Cesti ships.  Her eyes turn completely black as contact lenses take over her sense of sight, absorbing vast amounts of data as her claws sink into pressure-sensitive pads, each twitch of a finger sending important commands.  Ten thousand messages fly back and forth between the ship as station as each side ensures that power cables, water and air lines, securing grapples, and a host of other connections are cleared and no other ships are in the flight path, nor likely to cross it if they go off course.  The computer pings each person on it's crew manifest to ensure they are present and searches each room for life-signs to ensure nobody else is on board.  Finally with a gentle sigh, the ancient scoutcraft drifts loose from the side of the station and the 250-foot craft eases away.

"While ship is clearing station area before supra-light travel, all will be silent for Furesh Clan prayer for good voyage." Aziza announces over the intercom.  Aziza launches into a singsong whine the computer translates.
"All knowing and wise Matron of Furesh Clan, which is much better than worthless Pasha clan, please be blessing navigation systems so that they are not trapping us all in deep space where we drift hopelessly until we are running out of food and eating each other."
Here she pauses a moment and deviates slightly from the norm.
"But if that is happening please be knocking everybody stronger than me unconscious.  Please be guarding hull from ruptures so that we are not losing all air and suffocating even as our lungs freeze solid and our eyeballs are being pulled from skulls by boiled brains.  Please be keeping supra-light drive system from exploding and converting all matter within fifty thousand meters into pure energy instantly."
A second pause.
"Although if we are certain to be dying that is being better than the previous two ways.  Please be protecting robotic crew from spam so that they are maintaining ship properly and not advertising genital enlargement at critical moments."

After the first fifteen minutes, by which point Aziza is asking the Matron to preserve the life-sign detectors so that brain-eating parasites do not invade the ship unnoticed, it's clear this will be a long trip.

As Raul lays on his bunk during the initial part of the flight, he listens to Aziza's prayer. I've heard prayers, even said prayers, but this is getting a bit...strange. Me thinks our pilot is quite the paranoid type. I'll have to make sure to watch what I say around her to make sure she doesn't get set off.

Leoulin was quite amused by the prayer and as the smile played across his lips, he knew with a hint of sadness that he would have to be careful upon his return, as there was no doubt in his mind that his sisters, cousins, and even own mother, would be 'concerned' about him.  Which meant the family Hunters would likely be involved.  They would not approve of his signing on for an even potentially dangerous mission with CA-SAR.  He wouldn't care, or mroe to the point he wouldn't mention how dangerous other more common things might be.  They were so over protective that that was just a way to get even more restrictions placed on his activities.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

As Aziza piloted the ship out of the stations controlled airspace several ships passed the small scout inbound, four heavy cargo ships, Huge modular craft not much more than drives power systems and crew quarters mounted on a central framework surrounded by cargo modules lumbered past their engines pouring out electromagnetic noise and charged particles. The final ship in the line was a small sleek scout ship almost the same size as the Crow, It’s dark gray and black hull markings identified it as a Cesti Pasha patrol ship, while it was likely the scout was flying escort for the cargo ships it is also likely its powerful sensors had detected the Crow’s transponder long before they came into sight.

” CTF 129c “Crow” this is Space Control, you are cleared for Hyperspace Transit, Proceed at your own discretion, Be advised inbound and outbound traffic your sector. The voice of the  traffic controller sounded bored and slightly irritated as she handled a dozen departing and arriving ships CTP P’wahrl You are advised to power down weapons and defensive systems within Station defense perimeter. The final message was repeated in Cesti as the station warned the Pasha Scout to power down it’s offensive weapons.

Raul re-reads the message again, becoming more puzzled. A gift for every member of the team? Is this a cultural thing? I hope I will not offend since I don't have a gift for her. He turns down his communicator, and heads towards T'risa's quarters. He gently knocks on the door, awaiting permission to enter.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

T'risa answered the door, a smile spread over her face. Behind her there are an array of gifts laid over the bed, and effort has been made to personalize the room and make it seem more like a home.

"Please come in Raul."

She was pleased to see him, but her face was tinged with concern.

"Have a seat, Doctor, or Raul. Well....if you let me know how you'd like to be addressed, I'll use that form of address from now on. First, I have an explanation before I present you with your gift. You may or may not know that I am a telepath. I am gifted even among the O'maeda, but......well, Raul, if I may call you that. It doesn't take a telepath to know that you have been hurt, yet being a telepath....I feel your pain. I know nothing of the source of your pain, save a sense of loss. I can do nothing to ease it, but hopefully you can find some solace in my gift to you."

She picked up a small slender tan book from her bed, placing it on her left palm she bowed as she offered it to Raul.

"I have read these poems by Wa Tanai when I have lost those dear to me. I hoped you might find inspiration in them to set your mind to rest. My favorite is on page 32 and one I would urge you to read and consider. The A'Niss are wise in the ways of life as well as the ways of death and you will find reflections on both as well as the balance between within its pages."

T'risa waited until he'd taken the book from her palm, before she raised her head again.

"I don't know the exact nature of your loss, but friends are a precious thing and to be greatly treasured. I would hope to become your friend. Should you wish to talk, you need only let me know and I will be available."
