Re: Furesh Scout: Crow
Elsbeth glanced at T'risa when she mentioned co-opting her and Tiny into her CASAR unit for the mission, effectively deputizing them. She saluted, "I would appreciate that, Marshal K'mahda. I...I-it would mean a lot to me." she paused for a moment and then added, "and I am sure Tiny, as well, to be able to get some sort of closure. Thank you."
Elsbeth nodded again curtly to T'risa polite retort to her highly inappropriate (or at least impolitic) question about Balkiir, she blushed slightly, "Yes, Ma'am." Elsbeth didn't have the heart (or the wherewithal, really) to tell T'risa that she had no idea how to ask someone on a date, per se. Or for that matter, what really constituted a date - for a marine or a genetically engineered bodyguard. But maybe later. Mercifully for her, the entrance of Balkiir himself allowed the matter to pass without further pursuit, in any case.
When T'risa asked for a preliminary surface psi scan, Elsbeth cocked her head to one side, "Of course, Ma'am." As if, she expected it - that it was a foregone conclusion; from what Elsbeth could see the Marshal was very efficient, very perceptive, and highly intelligent. And as such, she would want to know the people under command as well as possible; and a psi scan would only make sense. And ultimately, Elsbeth couldn't think of anything that she wanted to or could have hid, if she had wanted to, from the diminutive blue woman.
Once her briefing was over, and she was dismissed, Elsbeth sat quietly over to the side; simply listening to most of the activity going on. A fair bit of it was over her head, but that didn't mean that Elsbeth didn't try. However, when Balkiir asked her to accompany him, Elsbeth stood up immediately and tried unsuccessfully to not sound overly eager, "Yes, Friend Balkiir. I would very much enjoy engaging in some heavy lifting with you..."
