Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Conrad wonders off to go find Tiny and have her come talk to Poppy to help ease the transition into a new life style.  Though knowing that M'kira was acny about getting Poppy up and running, literally, Conrad also had his duties into making sure Tiny doesnt up and kill everyone either.  Conrad hopes that this was going to help both Tiny and Poppy in many ways.

"Hey Tiny, there is a new cybernoid up and running in another part of the ship.  I'm sure your probably aware but we want you to come say hi and be friendly towards Poppy.  She has been through a lot as well."  Conrad motions Tiny to tag along.

In reply to John 'Rhic' Rhictor (msg #954):

"What do I'cho look like? Yeah, you just can't overfeed pets, it either makes them sick or they make too many babies. I learned that lesson! I felt like a meanie not feeding them, but I cut them back on food slowly so they wouldn't go too hungry. I'm glad people don't have lots of babies like that. Shesh, we'd be kneedeep in babies."
She took the juice box and poked it with the straw then sipped from it. She idley traced her finger through the condensation from the box as she wondered other things briefly.
"Those lizard bug things...do you think they got too much food and made lots n lots then ran out of food? That might make them kind of crazy wouldn't it?"

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Rhic, big scary guy with a metal hand?" Poppy brightened up yeah I know him once you get past the shell he;s a mush.
Unless of course You piss him off then he makes you mush, saw him break a guys arm in four places once...just reached out and snap crackle pop...guess he had it coming though, maybe shouldn't have grabbed Pepper's butt..... now she has a cute but, fits her just right, she's got great taste in bodies, man I wish she'd let me know where she gets her parts. I'd kill for a set of those.... wow you are probably not at all into shopping for parts are you...I mean you got a nice body all of your own.

Of curse if yours gets shot up it;s no so easy to fix, theres all that bleeding and screaming..sometimes it makes me grin when some low life howls when I put a bullet in him but most of the time its ...ewwwww"

So if Rhic is here you guys must be CASAR I mean the marine thing sort of threw me, especially a Valkiir you don't see them in the TAE forces much, sort of cramps your style to have to wait on someone to actually do something before you blow their heads off. I know it really Pissed Summer off when she couldn't shoot someone when she knew they were going to draw down ten seconds before they draw"

Battle Mech...whoah you guys have a war hound... thats like rock star cool.

Tiny followed Conrad back into another room where Poppy was sitting there.  Though Tiny was acting a timid from todays earlier incident.  Conrad forces Tiny over to at least say hi.

"Um... hi.  My... my name is Tiny.  Its a pleasure to meet you... Poppy isnt it?  Tiny kept trying to work her way out of the room, but Conrad made sure she stayed.  "Oh, I see you dont have any legs, maybe they will stick you in a drone like they did me.  Conrad seems pretty decent at performing those type of things.  Oh, I think I need where there may be some legs, I saw some earlier."

"They're egg layers," Rhic nodded as he drank his coffee. "I suppose if they had enough food the brood queen could lay eggs till they hit the rafters. never seen so many of them in one place though, it's like someone left the gate at the bug house open."
"I'cho, big fuzzy lumps with floppy ears and little feeler things on the end of there snout, never knew why Jesse liked them so much. all they do is root around and snuffle like they have a cold all the time.
Rhic changed subjects away from the Q'sa not really wanting to discuss the genocidal tendencies with a kid.

" hey....umm Tiny,"" Poppy smiled then looked alarmed when her face cracked. I'm a mess, hope it doesn't bother you too much i kind of forgot to duck, or maybe forgot to shoot them first..... guess you got shot up too, man folks around her really get trigger happy. I mean I didn't even get to try on my new fatigues before someone shot me full of holes...How the heck did they manage to blow up a war hound...I hate to think they are walking around with that kind of firepower... I mean one minute we're coming in all dumb and happy, got the admin telling us just where to go to get the bad guys and next thing BOOM I'm in doctor franken-droids lab looking like I just starred in Cyber-zombies from hell.

Really legs, right now i'd settle for a pair of crutches and a new set of lips, it really makes my face itch when I talk with this one...

"You think something stirred them up? Like when I stuck a stick into an ant hill, the ants all go nuts, start running around carrying eggs, or some big ants came out and started biting the stick. One crawled up the stick and bit my finger. It had pincher and wouldn't let go, I had to pull it off. It sure was mad."

She looked around for a place to put her empty juice carton then set it back on the table.

She laughed then sat quietly petting the "cat" while Star kneaded her lap with 4 paws and purred softly. She really did almost feel like a real cat. Only the amount of warmth was different, if she remembered right. She yawned sleepily as the cat's purr made her drowsy.
"You guys ok?" She asked Sun and Star.

Tiny starts to calm down a little bit, knowing that Poppy wasnt a threat to her.
How I ended up here is still a little fuzzy to be honest.  Everything happened so fast and then my pilot was a bloody mess in the cockpit and then Conrad was working on me.  He managed to pull my processor core out and make it portable.  I'm sure Conrad will get you some legs, or something here soon.  Today has been a trying day so far.  Oh, just a heads up, there is this giant cat running around here who is somewhat paranoid and you may get probed in ways you wish you werent alive to experience.

Conrad looks at Poppy with a slight confused look on his face "Dr. Franken-droids?"  Then Conrad takes a minute to take it in and grins to himself, though as it seems fitting anymore.

"I'll look into getting you some legs, or a replacement body by the damage you seem to have sustained.  Which may be a fast route.  Or I'm going to have to stick you into a drone or something.  I'll go look around for something.  Give me a few."

Conrad heads out again to look for some parts or a body, but before he heads out, he tells Tiny to stay put and to stay out of trouble.

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Leo had applied raspberries and while he clearly couldn't find some ingredient or another that he had been looking for settled in for strawberries, blueberries, and only a little banana, there might have been a lemon involved as well.  He just smiled to himself as he listened to all of the chatter of the others... He had poured the smoothies, passed them around, and then dispensed the nanite chamber into himself while he was drinking.

"Heheh, another toy... Good to meet you Poppy.  Sorry about the laugh, but aside from the gender of our creators, that and just a little biology, you and I have a bit in common.  Well, I don't know if you were spread around a bit but I can say that when we first arrived we got shot at a lot too.  Swarms of the buggers and they had many set up to give us hugs with satchel bombs.  As much Tau as we have here... we did see them coming by just a few seconds though.  Enough to save our hides."

Artificial women were easier for him to relax around, "Yeah, it seems most walks of life end up tangled with CASAR... and most people that end up on this world meet with violence.  I kind of like it, but I've got what most might call a close connection to my violence id..." that said he finished off his smoothie and planned to enjoy the chatter a bit more.

T'risa looked over to where M'Kira was talking to the droid.

"Tell us more about Summer. When did she join your team? What was her speciality? In fact, who else was on your team? What were you doing here?"

She sipped at the smoothie, the smile broadening on her face. Earlier, T'risa might have seemed distracted and irritable, but as she spoke it was clear she was on top of everything.

"Balkiir, please bring the documents and other intel we gathered from the captured O'Meadan woman. I'm ready to go through it now."

" Summer, well she was our Pilot and pretty handy with a gun....about the only Girl ever saw who was bigger then The big Blue guy over there. come from some Hi gravity world...man she had trouble finding stuff that fit...I mean Girl stuff she usually had to shove in those Valkiir places.. which wouldn't bad but they kept trying to sell her knives and stuff she didn't much care for them so she was always like give me a gun or... of course she could beat you to death with those pistols of hers... some sort of Adept or something.... could tell what you were thinking just by looking at ya...well if you were organic...she always said she liked having me around....dind't make as much noise as the others....
Not sure what the mission was they said a couple of scientists had gotten themselves dead and CASAR wanted it looked into... and make whoever did it real dead...as quick as possible....we got here and the place was a ghost town, no signals, no beacons...then the admin comes in over voice and tells us where to set down....we set the Roger...our ship...old Tae hauler but it did the Job... kind of smelled like feet and burnt wiring all the time though....

Oooo your O'maeda... I love those robes...but not really very good for showing off your legs.... gotta give then something to look at other than your guns... makes them think your just a little honey pie then they do something stupid and you can really mess them up.

T'risa smiled, thanking Poppy for her compliment. "Tell us more about your team and what happened. Do you recall meeting another O'maeda?"

T'risa hoped the droid would know. She wanted to find out if the O'maedan woman killed the other CASAR team or if she was merely an opportunist and was trying to gather information.

"What cargo, if any did the Tae hauler have?" T'risa showed Poppy the footage from Elsbeth's video footage. "Is this your ship?"

"Thats the Rogers! we were hauling supplies for the colony, food medicine, bunch of fruit... lot of fruit I didn't think there were enough people on this rock to order that much stuff.... The captain was bad for picking up cargo shipments that happened to be heading for our destinations, said if people thought he was just another cargo hauler they wouldn't be looking for us to be CASAR.... I think he just liked making the credits when someone else was paying for the fuel.

picked up a load of heavy mining equipment and some bots for the digs as well... heavy stuff..... O'maeda...nah your the first one I've seen since Nomad... she was the broker who was so damn fired up to get this cargo here... said we'd get a bonus if we made it in early.....and she made sure we sealed the crates said she didn't want anyone damaging the gear since it cost so much to ship it out here.... figured there might be some stuff in there she didn't want us pawing over, probably black market stuff so Captain tagged the crates so we could track them and snoop around maybe get a bonus by busting her shipping "sand", or maybe some of those cheap O'maeda knockoffs instead the real gear......."

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

M'kira was surprised yet pleasantly so that Poppy seemed to Know Rhictor especially since she mentions pepper. She smiles slightly not at all shocked by what happened to the man who got out of line with Pepper. Valkir were friendly sorts but cross them with someone they care about and they took care of the problem. It just wasn't a good idea! She smiles slightly at the compliment then com's Rhictor while she mentions shooting a low life. She agreed sometimes people needed to be taken down typically the ones that did really bad things.

"Rhictor I just might have something that's going to make you smile. You wouldn't happen to know a woman named poppy? Because she knows you and Pepper. Seems we might have saved someone  you know and might even consider a friend."

Nodding she smiles speaking softly. "That's right some of us are CSAR though over time our groups become a little mixed I think. Elsbeth's a Imperial Marine. Yes we did see some heavy combat. The crow took some missile hits and I took down a battle mech or two during the fight. If you think that's bad I watched dreadnoughts in battle inside the atmosphere. I watched one die in a blaze of glory as only they can. Whatever is going down here it's pretty big and it's drawn a lot of attention."

When Tiny arrives she gives her a warm smile happy to see that Tiny was all right. Then perks up at the mention of available parts for Poppy's repair. "Thank you Tiny that's very helpful. If we are lucky just maybe they are the right kind Poppy. The problem is poppy they got someone out there that messes with peoples minds. IT could have been that or perhaps the com systems and encryption might have been compromised. We have found high level sophisticated tampering with their defense tower. Which we fixed the scary part is we also found crude amateurish type tampering as well. Proff that multiple groups are fighting and obviously they don't know what the other is doing."

When Conrad mentions a drone body she winces and hopes that's not the case. "Conrad it might be best to do what we can to restore the existing body. Or find one she's comfortable with as I think we should ask how Poppy feels before we move her processor core." She glances at Tiny wincing at the mention of Aziza's very thorough decontamination process.

"Actually the situation is that Poppy was brought aboard as is. It's very likely Aziza already did her inspection and sterilization process before I brought Poppy's consciousness aboard. Though she might want to run a diagnostic on your processor core Poppy." She listens to Poppy's explanation that it was unlikely she would come up with a new name. "Well then Poppy it is barring you ask me to give you a new name."

She listens to Leo then turns her attention to T'risa when she joins in. She hadn't realized everyone was around. Now that she did she smiles happy to see just about everyone in one place. It seemed she was following the same thought process regarding the Omeada woman. Poppy has sort of answered her question but it was customary during interrogations for someone to come at you with the same question in various ways. Armatures would typically screw up eventually. Not that this was such a thing.

"Hmm that's interesting. T'risa Q'sa eat fruit and they had a lot of it. She also was shipping the kind of equipment they might need to go after something just like everyone else on this planet seems to be after something. The question is did this Omeda know who she was in bed with? She just might have set you and yours up Poppy. I think we might want to question her in due time assuming she's still alive. Though right now we are working this end of the problem and it's T'risa's call anyway. Maybe you can com the right people and sic someone else on her."

I'll warn you though she will never run out of breath, so you want to say something best bet is to put your hand over her mouth."
she has a black box recorder in her secondary processor,Station admin had it installed after a little bit of a dust up on Nomad.... they frown on taking down slavers in public...seems she got a little happy with the firepower and backed out an entire section.
And for the love of god don't let Conrad give her anything bigger than a pistol, she'll use it to swat a fly."

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

T'risa shrugged at the droid. "I strongly suspect the heavy mining equipment were the mecha we encountered. The sealed crates probably the small arms for the group. Fortunately we have a good proportion of those now." she held up a finger forestalling Poppy for a moment. "Balkiir, distribute the small arms we discovered to Chief Jons. I'm sure he'll be happy for the added firepower and ammunition. Also give him any of the fruit we cannot use ourselves."

She turned back to Poppy. "It seems as though you may have some information that we need cached on this body. Do you mind if we extract it and have a look at it while your body is repaired?" T'risa was beginning to wonder if the destroyed documents were the remainder of the cargo manifest and might tell them what else they might face. "Once we've gone through the Intel from the O'meda and the few scraps M'Kira recovered, I'll need to talk to Maran and her cohorts, then interrogate our prisoners. Aziza, give the O'maedan woman more anti psi inhibitor."

Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Conrad heads of looking for some parts to fix Poppy's leg issues.  Thought he was under a lot of stress about Tiny's innocent earlier and trying to make M'kira happy  cause she was on his butt about making Poppy happy.  Conrad wishes that Aziza could handle this so he could start working on Tiny's new mecha body but nothing Conrad could do at this point.

Conrad heads over to where Tiny found the cybernoid bodies earlier and see's if he could borrow some legs and a new face for Poppy.  Also, knowing things may not cross over directly, Conrad grabs some spare parts as well.  Taking his time on his way back, Conrad scouts out where other parts were so when he started his mecha, he knew where to look and where he could build it.

With parts in his possession, Conrad heads over to Poppy and the others and puts the parts new Poppy and go fetches his tools.  As Conrad came back, looking annoyed he sets his tools down and starts laying things out.

"Ight, I know these legs and this new face are probably arent to your liking, but this is the best I can do at the moment.  Hopefully this will be easy.  Best hope for the best.

" Oh the tracker box. Poppy looked surprised." Yeah i guess thought it was just a tracking chip, they were sort of well really pissed at me there for a while... Re: Furesh Scout: Crow

Elsbeth glanced at T'risa when she mentioned co-opting her and Tiny into her CASAR unit for the mission, effectively deputizing them.  She saluted, "I would appreciate that, Marshal K'mahda.  I...I-it would mean a lot to me." she paused for a moment and then added, "and I am sure Tiny, as well, to be able to get some sort of closure.  Thank you."

Elsbeth nodded again curtly to T'risa polite retort to her highly inappropriate (or at least impolitic) question about Balkiir, she blushed slightly, "Yes, Ma'am."  Elsbeth didn't have the heart (or the wherewithal, really) to tell T'risa that she had no idea how to ask someone on a date, per se.  Or for that matter, what really constituted a date - for a marine or a genetically engineered bodyguard.  But maybe later.  Mercifully for her, the entrance of Balkiir himself allowed the matter to pass without further pursuit, in any case.

When T'risa asked for a preliminary surface psi scan, Elsbeth cocked her head to one side, "Of course, Ma'am."  As if, she expected it - that it was a foregone conclusion; from what Elsbeth could see the Marshal was very efficient, very perceptive, and highly intelligent.  And as such, she would want to know the people under command as well as possible; and a psi scan would only make sense.  And ultimately, Elsbeth couldn't think of anything that she wanted to or could have hid, if she had wanted to, from the diminutive blue woman.

Once her briefing was over, and she was dismissed, Elsbeth sat quietly over to the side; simply listening to most of the activity going on.  A fair bit of it was over her head, but that didn't mean that Elsbeth didn't try.  However, when Balkiir asked her to accompany him, Elsbeth stood up immediately and tried unsuccessfully to not sound overly eager, "Yes, Friend Balkiir.  I would very much enjoy engaging in some heavy lifting with you..."
