Captured Itel ( analyzed)

the maps, and data cards recovered from the combat area. as well as more captured from the rear of the get away flitter are detailed topographical and survey maps of the area. none of the maps appear to be recent markings on the maps indicate they are official Imperial Planetary Survey Group documents.

The military maps are highly annotated, patrol pattern, no fly zone, no ground movement zones. restricted areas where the Q’sa were not allowed to operate are well documented. The information has been written in Q‘sa…(translated by the computers) but the format, style and general tactics employed are more closely related to those of  a veteran War College Graduate than a Q’sa Merc commander..

Among the notes you see several ambushes and attacks are prescheduled. The Ambush St up at The rocky Flats area was part of the original plan and orders were to maintain it until ordered out. From the dates and times it was put into place before the general attacks on the other outposts

Tiny’s data logs show that the Anzio landed or had been destined for an area that would allow it to respond to attacks anywhere on the colony with the greatest speed. That area is heavily defended by anti- aircraft and anti-orbital artillery logistics routes, patrol routes and defenses seem to indicate that the enemy is using it as a command post. Probably for the same reason the marines had intended it as a new planetary garrison.  The Anzio had dropped directly into the middle of  regiment sized combat groups primary operation area.. Nothing short of a full scale brigade strength assault group would have survived long enough in the interlaced air defenses to get off an interstellar signal.

While many of the operational and tactical plans are still intact, it is obvious the contingency, intelligence and mission goals sections of the plans captured are missing.

Facts that are obvious

1) this is a long term operation organized by trained strategic planners
2) the enemy had guidance from at least one battle witch due to preplanned ambushes that were put directly in the path of survivors and the Crows search and rescue flights.

3 You are dealing with at least a battalion of ground troops backed up by air, and heavy Mecha forces.
4) there was never any intent to eliminate the main compound only contain and harass
5 the starport is on the list of NO GO areas, Q’sa are prohibited from entering that area and heavy air defenses are set up around it. ( getting the crow in will require neutralizing at least to air defense emplacements.
6) the Q’sa are being regularly supplied by civilian starships. And according to the information each time a delivery is scheduled heavy transport capabilities are increased indicating the ships are never intended to leave the planet again.  ( note the next supply drop is in two days at a location marked on the map, in the middle of an air defense cluster)

7) only a few O’maeda liaisons are likely, and those appear to be uninvolved in operations other than those listed as only “Primary objectives.” none of which appear to be combat missions.  “Primary Objective’ operations and plans are not included in the Intel gathered.
