4e D&D

I know it's not popular, but it's my favorite edition of D&D, for the balance and basic functionality, not the combat (though I enjoy the combat). I have characters in mind that I'd like to try out, but I'm also happy to make a completely original character, with pretty much any race/class combination, filling any role. I want to make your vision as a GM work.

4e D&D

I enjoy miniature battles & liked 4th ed as well.   Like to join if you find a GM.

Prefer no children PC's.

Re: 4e D&D

I ran a moderately successful arena game using 4E for a while. Had to drop it after I had a kid. Still, I'm more than happy to join in a game — unlike the nay-sayers, I learned to appreciate the system's strengths and find ways around its weaknesses (mostly).

Too busy still to GM another one, but I'll happily play.

Re: 4e D&D

Hey guys, I might be willing to run the keep on the shadowfell series for you all if you want.

Re: 4e D&D

Is this happening? I like 5e a lot but do miss some of the stuff from 4e. Particularly the warlord class, which I always enjoyed playing. Please let me know if this is happening. I only ever played the first few rooms of the Keep on the Shadowfell here on RPOL before the game went under. Thanks!

Re: 4e D&D

I'm up for some KotS!
Looks like someone has asked for the leader role, I like to do striker (rogue, sorcerer or barbarian).
I'll keep an eye for n the thread, this looks promising!!

Re: 4e D&D

I would also very much like to be part of this - it is one that has eluded me for some time, and I have no preference on class, rather forging a personality and adapting a class into it. I will keep an eye on this as well.

In reply to Starstruck (msg # 5):

Somehow I missed these responses over the past few days. I'm glad to see them.

I've played through all or part of KotS more times than I can remember, so I'd rather not play that, if there's any other option. Or, maybe we could play a modified, tougher version of it? I'm happy to help modify things.

Re: 4e D&D

I'm down for some 4th ed. I really miss the psionic classes, so I'm interested in a game.

I can make a couple suggestions.

It has some flaws, but the Scales of War Adventure Path would give you plenty of material to take us all the way to level 30.

If you want something a bit more freeform, it's worth digging up the Chaos Scar adventures. It never quite achieved the goals they had originally conceived for it, but it had some interesting elements once you had everything together.

And there's always simply starting out in a setting with an introductory adventure to get us together, then just see where our own decisions lead us. You have no shortage of supported settings — the Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Dark Sun, or something homebrewed. I'm a big fan of Eberron myself, and it got decent 4E support — it actually handled some aspects of the setting better than the original 3.5 version.

In reply to LonePaladin (msg # 12):

All of that sounds great!

I have no illusions about how far any given game is likely to get. Even if the group only held together for a few encounters it would be longer-lived than any other 4e game I've played here.
