Solo Pathfinder adventure

I'm looking to play a game of Pathfinder on the evil side of things. I'm really looking for detail oriented decisions having an effect in a sandbox style, with kingdom building elements.

Example: "MC is attempting to set up an evil empire, and has taken over his first goblin tribe, which was made easier by the fact that they were a small tribe. He now plots with them to quietly increase their numbers so that soon he can have enough goblins to launch raids against a few caravans. In the meantime, he has bought a small sheep farm to provide meat to the goblins under his command".

It doesn't have to be goblins, but something that is going to give the "large evil army" feel but that relies more on numbers than sheer individual power.

I'd prefer things to be a solo campaign, or at most 3 players. This is to help prevent GM burn out as much as it to prevent snags in posting time over a long period.

If you're interested, feel free to rmail me!

Solo Pathfinder adventure

I have a few questions.

Would you still want your character to go on adventures, such as searching a ruin for a magic item that might help you have an advantage against a neighboring tribe? I guess I'm asking how much do you want to focus on your character vs. the kingdom your character is building. Do you want it to be more roleplaying the diplomacy of rising to the top, or are you going to get your hands dirty and go do things like dungeon crawls and stuff?

Do you care if the GM uses a homebrew world, deities, etc.?

What kind of posting rate would you be aiming for ideally?

In reply to Lord_Johnny (msg # 1):

I may have the solution for you.  I have been looking to play a solo adventure of a similar concept as well, but never seem to be able to finish it out as my DM would lose interest or I end up moving far away.

My concept is to use the Kingmaker Campaign.  YOU the player(s) are member of an elite Elven team of 5-6 level, sent to the region to disrupt any and all human civilization from creating a new sovereignty in the River Kingdoms.  You are to clear out as many evil monsters as possible, stir up trouble among the neighboring nations of Brevoy, Numeria, and others.  Recruit all the local elves into the ranks as guerilla forces.  Finally, establish a large secure area.  You are an advance team that is part of an Elven faction in Sovyrian back on the world of Castrovel that will make a rather violent militaristic return to Golarion and take back EVERYTHING that was lost to outsiders on Golarion.

I'm looking for someone who really knows how to play elves.  If hack-n-slash is your forte, this is not for you.  Stealth, diplomacy, tactics, and magic is the name of the game.  Everyone will start off with three default levels of the Scout class from the 3.5 book Complete Adventurer.  The remaining levels will focus on spell casting class of your choice.  Four PC's minimum, but you MUST have at least one druid and one wizard.  You are on your own, no reinforcements.  If someone dies, you are one-plus member to utilize.

That's the rough draft.  I've always wanted to play this as a PC, but nobody wants to run it.

Solo Pathfinder adventure

In reply to Sheph (msg # 4):

Sorry, I wasn't checking the post.

I'm up for some solo Dungeoneering, sort of. IE, taking a few goblins with me as a sort of "extra party members" feel good with me. I expect to really start there.

Homebrewed world and Dieties is to be preferred. I've done enough playing in the official paizo world for a bit.

I don't think a whole lot of diplomacy is going to be done if I play in the game. I'm really looking for the more conquering aspect, though of course diplomacy is part of kingdom building.

Getting hands dirty is something that he will do, but I kind of expect to do less of that as the game goes on, unless he hears rumors of things. With a goblin (or other suitably weak on an individual basis, but breeds rapidly group) horde at his back, a lot of large group combat is more what I'm thinking.

Posting rate would be ideal at about 1/Day+, but with good story I am more than willing to compromise on this setting.

Sorry, but this really doesn't fit the bill for what I'm talking about. I really don't want to the slow down/game crash of having a lot of players. That's why I was specifically asking for solo, so the presence of other players really isn't fun at the moment.
Additionally, I don't want elves. They're very opposite of the proposed goblin (or other individually weak, but breed fast) army I had spoken about.

I do like the idea of not being hack and slash, but that was about it that really met the previously mentioned criteria.

So...very politely, I appreciate the offer, but no thank you.

Solo Pathfinder adventure

This may not fit your wishes either - but I thought I would throw it out there.

I didn't use the pathfinder rules to set it up, and have made it fairly rules light.
It's a kind of medevil/post appocyliptic setting
I am using a form of the vampire dark ages system (without the magical powers)
Kind of a wild west type setting, with folks scavenging the bones of a long dead technological society, and the biggest gun/gang usually rules the town, with everyone else trying to make their way while buckling under, or bucking the system.

There is some mysterious intervention from time to time by a very mysterious 'priesthood' of 'others'.

It's an open sandbox type setup, with PC's having as much or as little interaction with each other as they want.
I've tried to ensure that PC's have a lot of creative control and input.

If you are interested, search for Foreworld in the games.
Cheers
