Irish Lords/Crusader Kings

Wouldn't it be cool to either play the Irish Lords of Feifdoms in Ireland with no High King, setting their policies and coming together to deal with Saxon invasions, famine, rebellion, weddings and alliances, betrayals, matters of honor etc.

Use very rules lite/homebrew system - approximate Crusader Kings the computer game or just real life "You have 200 archers" would be great with me.

That sounds like fun.

Do you have any decent maps?

Did you have any systems in mind?  Or just completely free-form?

I would prefer rules lite - freeform seems like it would not accurately reflect the resources we have available to us.

I'd be happy to help develop it and surely, we could use a map of Ireland for the game - Anyone familiar with Crusader Kings II? I've the game so I could export the provinces and their details.

Yes I am a big fan of Crusader Kings II.  I thought about trying to do a mod of Apocalypse World for CK2, but didn't actually put anything together for it.

I have long studied Celtic history and mythology and have quite a few books, including maps. I ran a very long-lived game based in The Moonshaes of Faerun, a very Celtic campaign. I am currently running a game using Lands of Legends in middle ages Scotland. The first was D&D 3.5, the latter Pathfinder. I would prefer a game using 3.5, Pathfinder or even 5ED. I don't like free form.  I do not play computer games, Crusader Kings means nothing to me.

It's essentially a Grand Strategy game with the focus on the prestige and power of your bloodline as opposed to the nation or a single character.

I'm a history nerd and a fan of the game, and if you are running pathfinder I would be interested.

I find the idea also very interesting. I couldn't GM it, but if anyone picked it up, I'd be happy to be a part of it.
