I own all of the Fantasy Flight 40k rpg games and have, sadly, been unable to get a group together in RL. So now I'm here on RPOL (not new to PbP, just new here) hoping to get into a 40k game or two. Don't particularly care which one honestly.

I'd be interested in Second Edition Dark Heresy, Black Crusade using the tome archetypes, or Only War w/ a custom regiment per two players if there's a GM keen to start something.

  The players would get two PC characters. One an Ascension level Inquisitor squad member. The other a Grey Knight. They would have complimenting plot lines. Goals achieved in one could make things easier in the other and vice versa.

That sounds fantastic, I'd absolutely enjoy something like that.
