I just cannot find a good super hero game, online or live. I'm absolutely not interested in Mutants & Masterminds (my seething hatred for d20 aside, rule-heavy games don't work online in my experience).

I have any number of character ideas, which I can choose from and adapt based on the specifics of the game.

I am in a street level, DC based freeform that has recently been abandoned by our GM. I know this doesn't help you find a GM, but just throwing it out there that we got 3-4 others that would be interested in a street level, adult rated free form game. Not necessarily DC themed.

There are some decent rules lite systems out there that are super hero themed.

I know of Masks and Worlds in Peril (both are google friendly).

While I could run either, I'm more interested as a player.

I suggest ICONS from Adamant Entertainment or Supers! from Beyond Belief Games.

The new PBtA hack "City of Mist" would fit.  And it is pretty lite.
