Solo AD&D 1st Edition

Not too long ago I acquired the AD&D 1st edition rulebooks, and am itching to play a game in this system. I would like the game to be SOLO. Just me, the player, and the DM in a one-on-one game. I would like to play a Fighter/Magic-User (preferably beginning at the beginning, 1st level).

While new to 1st edition, I'm not new to roleplaying and would prefer a sophisticated game within any type of fantasy genre--high fantasy, dark fantasy, science fantasy, with a good mix of combat, NPC interaction, and character development.

Posting should be, at a minimum, one post per day (more is even better), from the DM and player. The game shouldn't be unending, but should last about 6-9 months (shorter is fine, but not longer).

If you're a DM and can fit this posting rate into your schedule, and wish to run 1st edition, send me a rMail.

Solo AD&D 1st Edition

I suggest you get a bit more specific about precisely which rules from 1E you want to use.  For example, most 1E players don't use weapon speed factors and the armor vs. AC table.  And initiative BTB is a morass.  How BTB are you looking to get?

All of that is up to the DM. First step is to see if there is a DM willing to run a game solo. If one steps forward, then at that point the particulars can be put forth in PMs. If we both agree to what's used, fine. If we don't, no harm no foul. As a general rule, I'm pretty flexible.
