Well as the topic goes. Been watching Famous DnD shows on youtube like geeknsundry, and harmon quest and it just made me interested in the overall roleplay aspect of DnD which unfortunately before I was just perhaps more ignorant to or maybe I just shrugged it off as another number cruncher game.

I'd be up for talking to you about it. My favorite edition is 4th Edition, which some would say is inherently a "number cruncher" game. If you're interested, though, I can give you my take.
