Looking for dedicated (co-)GM - (almost) any system.

Howdy folks. I'm a veteran player, having played PbP from the days of 56K and freeboards.

I'm looking for a good, dedicated GM willing to take up a long-term game. I'm looking on months and months of weird schedule (I work when others play and vice versa), so all I'm left is PbP. I'd really want some character development, good RP, a lot of atmosphere, and I'm less inclined for random dungeon crawls etc.

I'm also willing to have a double set-up- I can GM along with him, so it's two "tables", where each GM is a player on the other. I'd need some good cooperation though.

As for the players, I suggest 2 to 3 per table. Anymore and it gets clunky without reason- if necessary, I'd rather opt for secondary characters or NPCs, if necessary.

As for the system, I play *almost* anything, and I can read almost anything. I'd rather shy away from any iteration of D&D, save 5th ed, and any game system in similar vein (e.g. Pathfinder, OD&D clones, etc). I'd rather have something with freedom- skill-based and level-less are my favorites, though I'd rather shy away from freeform.

Hey, I know I want a lot. But anyone who's willing to take me up, think about it- we can set up something awesome together. I can even help you on your own game setting and/or system, if you want to try it out as well as enjoy it as a player.

Well, I enjoy running and playing Eclipse Phase, and Wild Talents.

I'm currently learning Mage: the Awakening.

I have a flaw though, I need strong external reminders to maintain interest in pbp games.

Working with someone else as a co-gm may help this issue quite a bit.

I tried  EP. The system is awful, and I can't say I'm all for that level of AI-lust transhumanism.

Wild Talents I've never heard of, sounds interesting.

Old Mage player as well, played both Ascension and Awakening.

Now, as for the "external reminders part"... how problematic would that be? As in "I need motivation", or as in "I need constant nagging"? :P

In the meantime, anyone else interested? This is not a one-time offer (e.g. I wouldn't mind two games with a different co-GM each).

Interested, I have a couple of campaigns that might benefit from a co-GM or happy to consider something fresh

First, the sales pitch.

I know there's plenty of you who have made your own homebrew settings or systems- or both! But as much as you enjoy creating and Gamemastering, sometimes you feel the itch to enjoy your creation as a player, and that's a pretty hard itch to scratch.

Well, fret no more! I'm here to help you enjoy your own game through the wonderful medium of PbP. I've got a ridonkulous amount of experience in playing, GMing and designing games, so I'll catch up to your own personal creations in a heartbeat, and then we're ready to start!

...ok, now that we've got that on the side, here's the deal.
I can GM any setting or system you'd care to offer (well, there are some stuff I don't touch with a 10-foot pole, of course...), with you, the creator, as the player.

What *I* want is for you, the creator, to also co-GM for me as a player. Either solo or with 1 or 2 more players (max 3 players for speed).

So in essence, two co-GMs, each other playing as a player, and you get to play as a player in your game. The reason is simple: That's the best way to start and maintain a long-term campaign that the GM will be interested in and he won't be likely to go *poof* and leave us hanging.

In reply to odysseasdallas (msg # 3):

Certainly the issue is motivation. Occasionally prodding, but that's true in real life games as well. I keep live chats open with my three groups, and at least one player in each game has my personal number.

So, Eclipse Phase is right out. I'm ok with that.

I'd be willing to run Wild Talents.
To make it easier, maybe even the Progenator setting.  Basically, that setting is based off of Earth. During the Vietnam War a woman mysteriously gained super powers and as she used them she infected others with powers. And that changes the world as it evolves into the present day.  Of course, the game can be run in any timeframe from the late 1960s to the 2050s.

I've also been super interested in running the Mistborn game. But, the big problem is getting people to buy into the heist tropes, fantasy tropes, and the specific setting tropes. If you're not aware of Brandon Sanderson and the Mistborn series, there probably is no reason to pursue that further.

Even though I am running one, and playing in one, game of 5th ed D&D. I'd be more than willing to run a game of it, as well.

As far as what I'd be interested in playing.  I would really like to learn Mage: the Awakening. Get deep into the setting and lore.

What are your thoughts on Shadowrun?

I don't know SWN or Silent Legions, but I can learn.

I love Shadowrun. I'd love to do a double table, either 5e (none of the earlier editions though) or even Savage Shadowrun (I've been working on a conversion for a while).
