Looking for Small Game with Horror, Urban Fantasy or Fantasy
Hello,

I'm looking for a game where I will get to tinker with magic. It's a particular pleasure of mine. I enjoy the Dresdenverse, Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson novels, Harry Potter, and the Dragon Age games, as well as several other inspirations.

I'd love to try Mage 20th, Vampire 20th, Dragon Age, Blue Rose, City of Mist, Beast: The Primordial, or a superhero game that welcomes magic. I am familiar with most games I mentioned above, but am still relatively new, so would need some time to work out details.

I'd love a one on one game, or perhaps one with only one or two other players where we're working together mostly collaboratively. I'd prefer to avoid a PVVP game.

Any GMs wanting to give any of this a try?

I'm actually looking into possibly maybe starting a City of Mist game, after I grok some of the Mythos vs Identity theme moves.  A definite inspiration would be the Dresden Files novels, particularly in tone (loud-mouthed, cynical, but lovable protagonists having streaks of horrendous luck but coming off as badasses anyway, mysteries and hidden agendas everywhere).

I'm up as a player, used to play a lot of DF as a Warden, and I've played plenty of Mage (both ones).

I've currently just started a contemporary paranormal game called the Horrorshow.

You can view the Player's Wanted for more info: link to a message in another game (Adult-rated)

It uses a homebrew system which is very simple and flexible, shouldn't be too hard to pick up. At the moment I'm running two games in the setting, but I've been pondering how to handle another dealing with sorcerers and cults, an occult underground. You'd be the only player in that side of the setting at the moment, with the potential for crossovers, cameos and guest-starring roles with the other groups.

If you're up for 'tinkering with magic' to the extent of co-determining the fundamental metaphysical laws and mystical aesthetic of your character's world with me, drop me a PM or Rmail!

Hi Sojobo,

Count me in for City of Mist. I've designed several characters in that system, and it's one of my favorite character sheets ever. I actually think that City of Mist is a better system for DF than DFA.

I run a couple of Dresden Files Accelerated games.   I'm just coming back to the table after some serious family issues, and I've lost some players in the mean-time.  So, I'd love to take one or two more on.  I prefer a small group, but the risk of the small group is that if one player drops out... it has a huge impact.

If you'd care to know a little more, drop me a line or look up my profile.

You can get Dresden Files Accelerated online for pretty cheap...

I be willing to run a horror raven loft dungeons and dragons
or a vampire the masquerade game.
