Progression Based Freeform
Hey there!
In the past I haven't played much freeform, but after joining a game (Which sadly didn't get off the ground. A freeform game called Theogenesis, if anyone is game for running something like that even better!)
Not Entirely Freeform Freeform: I've had the itch to give it another go. With that said, I'd still like some measure of progression to the game, I can't entirely give up my systems roots, but something as simple as Joe has strength 3, he's stronger than Bill with strength 2. No dice rolling needed, just some vague measure. Also with that said, it would be nice if skills followed a similar measuring system and that and if they could be raised incrementally (Ex: Joe spent the day carving clay figures and imbuing them with life +5% Golem Craft)
As RPOL games can also move notoriously slow, it would also be nice if the GM was pretty liberal in providing advancement and also provided multiple avenues of advancement.
Setting: I'll be down for pretty much anything fantasy/magical. I've been on a bit of a "Real world suddenly has magic introduced, what happens now?" kick, but that's hardly required. Pretty much as long as I get to player a competent character in a world that's more fantastical than our own I'll be content. Whether it's sandbox or plot based is up to the GM!
TLDR: Seeking free-form game that has a clear sense of progression, fairly frequent rewards (Big and small), and is fantasy based.
Anyone interested in something along these lines?
