Hoping for a bit of a high powered game.
I have had chances at, but not gotten in on several high level 3.5 games in my time on rpol (several Gestalt!) I have a few characters I had played up to a high level in ad&d back in the day or on a mud or two that I would really like to see played again.
I understand that high level games fill up fast so I thought I'd see if I can get someone to run one specifically for me to ensure I get a spot lol.

Similar situation with a Vampire game. The first game I ever played with White Wolf was a Vampire the Dark Ages game where the  plan was to play the characters at various points in time up to the modern nights. I am sure everyone does that, but we never got to as the ST and some players moved away. So for 20 years (plus actually) I have been thinking and dreaming of this. I had been not even thinking of it for play by post but someone did a game like that and due to having so many applicants I missed out, I don't blame the person running or anything games like that fill up fast but since it came up and I tried to get involved I got that fire again.

if anyone is remotely interested in running either (or both) of these games let me know!

just to be clear here I'm not a power gamer, but games simply don't last on pbp like they do table top so the idea of playing a character up to the levels where I can see them do the things I want them to do does not seem that it will work. I am in plenty of low to mid level games and enjoy them but since I don't have a irl group really it would be nice to have some of the thoughts I have as concepts actually played. The Vampire one especially is a big deal to me, 20 years is a long time to wait. I tried to get my orgional group to at least try play by post.....they wont :o(

if you don't mind a slow posting rate, you can take a look at one of my games. it's not gestalt, but it's high and will get higher.

Hey, @Gamer75! So, I've just arrived here (really, this is my first post), but your request caught my attention. What do you define as a high-level game? Also, are you adamant about it being on 3.5?

I've been working some experiments back on another site, and they're running fine. I'd be up for a high-level game, but I'm on Pathfinder and 5e (I have little experience with the rest, except for AD&D). Over there we're working a bit above start point (4th to 6th level), but I assume you''d want to go at least 14th and above?

Later!

the problem is I don't know 5e at all so I wouldn't really be comfortable playing a high level game with it as my first thing
I am familiar with ad&d quite a bit but 3.5 is what I know best
does not necessarily need to be up in the like 14 just into double digits would be fine at 10 or whatever.

sometimes I do miss the idea of an ad&d high level game but I'm not sure how that would be set up

I'm not against a level 4-6 game or whatever either I pretty much always look for anther dnd game lol but I had a concept or two specific in mind that needed to be a bit higher level to get them fully formed as I had seen them in concept

I understand your reserves! It would be a lot harder to play a high-leve game in a new system. I'm checking the books for 3.5 (I never played it, but people compare it a lot to Pathfinder, my favorite by far). Give me some time and maybe we can cook something up!

In the meantime, if you want, you can check the other games I'm working on, if only just to see what we1ve been up to (and if the style is something close to what you're imagining).

What's the concept you're working on, by the way?

My current game is a bit slow at times because I am a busy person. The majority of the characters started at level three and are now at the 9-10 area. Most of them if not all of them have at least one piece of signature gear. The game is working on year six of activity. It isn't going anywhere. All but two of my players have been active for at least two years themselves.

I wouldn't be against someone else joining, but I am picky on what I let into the game. I've learned that players who put in the time and effort to jump through my hoops last longer. Simply put, they like their characters more and get invested. Rmail me with what you are wanting to play (specifically) and maybe we can make some arrangements. :)
