I would like to put a tentative YES on me running this. As you know (from Moria) I have interest is high level games and TBH 99% of my trouble comes from 9th spells, and constant detection (though things like detect evil are fine, and never were problem).
I can't guarantee a long campaign, but I can tell you, you remove (for me) the only hesitation point (which takes RL hours and days to weeks) when making an adventure. No Wish, no Miracle, no this and that high level buff. You all will be (should be) comparable.
Here are the concessions I want from anyone who would join, especially you, OP.
- Be willing to accept faster leveling progression. If you don't want want to level when the XP says you should, you can play "as is" from the level you have written, but know the adventure is scaled for multiple levels, and as you lag behind you may feel it.
- I don't know half of the classes. If I say "You can't do that" correct me, gently and calmly, and tell why you can. This game is to make playable what I believe are overlooked classes, and let you have fun with them. You are the champion, I don't want to limit you, unfairly. On the flip side, if something is ambiguous, and not explicit, let my ruling be accepted and play on. That said, DO correct me, do debate your point, up until I say it's done. I need everyone to be willing to challenge my mistakes. I do make them and need help sometimes. Especially when there are classes I don't know. Okay?
- No spell activation items, even with UMD, unless every participant (GM and players) agree, or your class has it on their "list".
- Moral codes are overridden. The LG goods are willing to accept CE gods tactics if it means the world doesn't fall to Tharizdun. Whom is now a Great God. So no moral fighting, and snubbing. PLAY nice! Be wise, have fun. :)
- The idea is short term, to reseal the Mad God into his prison, and that after that concept is done, there may be no more.
- When you become epic which DEFINITELY will happen, you have to use epic progression or BASE epic PrC. We'll discuss that then too. The Immortal Handbook will be used when that happens as well. It supplements the ELH well, and epic complete books well.
- Creature exist that have 9th level spells. Especially outsiders. I will err on the side of ease when considering threats, since you have...um....I guess no "tier 1 or 2" I don't consider tiers normally, TBH *shrugs*
- Three strikes you're out. The Gods allow for three escapes from certain end. That's it. If you have the power to reverse it, then that doesn't count as strike. Otherwise it does.
- Artifacts will most likely not really show up, but if they do, they may be considered communal, or only in your possession to destroy.
- From the time you are accepted, you have two weeks to make your sheetand have it approved.
- Sheets are largely public knowledge. I need help checking and keeping tabs. So this is non-negotiable. Sorry...:(
If this is all acceptable...then I can have the game up and ready as early as February 1st. You'll have adventure, you'll have combat, some puzzles, some romance (or strife) and some humor. Mostly, you'll have a chance, to play one of the OP classes. Edit: OP in this case=Opening Post, not overpowered. I just caught that. :s
You're welcome to Rmail me with questions. I might not check this thread, so poke me in Rmail if I lose track. Until late January I'm pretty preoccupied. So...yeah. :D
