FASA Star Trek?

Anyone interested in a throwback game of Star Trek using the old FASA rules and Trek universe?

FASA Star Trek?

I have very fond memories of that system, but, STA and CODA are superior products. I've tried to get a STA game up and running, but was unsuccessful. This may not be the best forum for Star Trek. :)

FASA Star Trek?

I didn't know FASA had Star Trek Rules, or was that Prime Directive

Re: FASA Star Trek?

Could be interested in playing. But depends on the premise.

There's a dozen or more Trek fans around here. Adult free form games seem to be popular, but everyone's fragmented on system preference and era / show / timeline preference, and not enough people are willing to compromise to get anything off the ground for long.

Re: FASA Star Trek?

I'm specifically looking for a GM for the FASA Star Trek game (and more specifically the 1983 2nd Edition, since that's what I own), not freeform, Decipher, or Coda. Those other three things are good too, but not what I'm requesting. :)

Re: FASA Star Trek?

The game's long out of print, and I don't know of any legit place to download the rules. The revised boxed set is normally available used on Amazon and ebay, for what that's worth.

They are long, long out of print, and I don't know if they are legally available online.

I have those books too, but haven't even opened them in a long time. May have to go back and reread them again.

I'm with Davy. I love Star Trek Adventures and CODA.

Re: FASA Star Trek?

I have pretty much everything that came out for FASA Star Trek (Romulans, Klingons, Orions ... even that Tricorder packet they put out), but judging by the tepid response along with the "Hell No!" from one person, I'm in no hurry to even think about running something in the first place.

Star Trek Adventures has been interesting, but I only have the Lite rules, so making a character isn't easy for me to pull off. Maybe I'll see all my FASA stuff and pick up ST:A.

Re: FASA Star Trek?

I have a lot of the old FASA Trek books, and have always wanted to play a Triangle campaign, but I never went beyond the starship battles side of the game. IMHO, the biggest obstacle would be convincing players to accept FASA’s version of Trek canon, considering how much has been contradicted by later shows and movies.

Re: FASA Star Trek?

I might be interested in this.  I *used* to have this stuff... wish I still did...

Feel free to contact me (onsite, of course!) if somebody gets a game going.
