I'm an experienced player, and used to do Play by Post RP quite a bit, but recently have mostly played on IRC. Recently, however, I've had an itch to play some Play by Post.

I've also had quite an itch for a Star Wars game. I'm not particularly interested in Republic or New Order Era games. The original trilogy will always be what calls to me the most.

My dream game would be some sort of starfighter game starting in the rough times for the Alliance. Not entirely space-based, with Covert Ops, Doing dirty deals or stealing starfighters or supplies to keep the unit going without adequate supplies from the Alliance, and all sorts of other things mixed with occasional dogfights. Very much like Wraith Squadron, for those that have read that series.

Obviously, I may not get my dream game, but a motley mix of rebels trying to scrape by is what I'm interested in, not a party of jedi.

As for systems. The FFG star wars systems look rather cool, but also look like they might be a pain to play online. I've played the d20 star wars before, but any system is fine with me.

This link to another game is set about one year after The Phantom Menace, so I'm not 100% sure it is exacty the timeline you are looking for.

Yeah, that's a bit further out than I'm interested in. Ideal timeline would be somewhere from pre Alliance days as a precursor group to the downturn after the battle of Hoth.

So ~6 BBY to 3 ABY.


If there's something cool still in the Rebellion or early New Republic Eras, I'd probably be interested, but I don't think something set in the prequels is going to scratch the itch for me. Thanks for the link though!

A few years ago I ran an Imperial game based around TIE pilots in the same era.  Running one from the other side sounds like it could be interesting.

I imagine rebel pilots, especially during periods without longstanding bases or a coherent rebel fleet or supply lines, would get up to far more shenanigans.
