Bootleggers

Would very much like to play a game in which we are old-fashioned criminals in an old-fashioned place, running illegal booze and selling it to speakeasies. Would enjoy action related to fighting other criminal gangs, fending off the police, and dealing with other drama.

That sounds like fine. I would be interested in joining this game depending on the system used.

Would an actual Prohibition/historical setting do, and/or do you have system preferences?

I've got an orphaned (mildly Lovecraftian) Appalachian-foothills setting from a failed Soth game and am interested in trying out Blades in the Dark, which has a hack playset for this kind of thing. If you're after something a bit more normal, ask me about your preferred system and I can Y/N. Note that I also have a job and a long-running Siberian survival horror game, so the post rate would be quite low.

I would be interested in either an actual prohibition setting or something with reminiscent themes.

I have no system preferences, but the things that you, tibiotarsus, have just suggested I have never heard of.

In reply to LordIce (msg # 4): So is that an automatic 'no', or are you going to google what you haven't heard of and get back to me if no-one else offers something more familiar, or...? I'm afraid it isn't very clear what  'things' are referred to there.

FYI Soth is a game about murder cultists, Blades in the Dark is about dark fantasy criminal gangs, Lovecraft was a paranoid racist/icthyopobe in the 1920s who invented the cosmic horror genre, the Appalachians are a mountain chain in America, and technically speaking, most of the world's dry land surface is Siberia.

Haha, I was actually referring to the game systems. I have in fact heard of Siberia.

I admit I wasn't expecting Lovecraftian themes or murder cults, but if that's the game you want to run, I'd be happy to play it.

Is this thread about Bootleggers as in the PbtA hack?

I'm not a great big fan of powered by the apocalypse, but they do have a Bootleggers hack that seems to match the theme pretty well. When I started it, I just meant this thread to be seeking a GM who wanted to create a game for matically about running alcohol or some comprable substance cross borders in the early 20th century, or some similar setting.
