ShadowRun ... pref. in a system other than its native one?

I'd like to try out Shadowrun. What familiarity I do have with it paints a pretty cool picture (although I don't like mine quite so heartless and hopeless as I've seen some play it), so I'd really like to explore it some more. Since I have room for one more game, I thought this might be a good one to try. Could we do this without using its native system, though? Something like Savage Worlds, maybe? Seems like if it could work for Rifts, it could work for Shadowrun. Or maybe there are other conversions out there? There was also that system replacement option in Anarchy, I think it was, a more narrative version? That could work, too.

Anyway, I thought this might be worth looking into.

For Savage Worlds, there’s Interface Zero (2.0) (with 3.0 coming soone for the new SWADE version as well).

I’d love to give that a whirl myself as a player...

The sprawl is basically just shadowrun without the magic. The power by the Apocalypse is very easily to play and to learn. I would love to play in a game like it.
