Re: Corpse robbing!

Turn is up (new thread). I didn't make any mention of a couple things because I need the follow answered first:

1) What did you do with the enemy prisoner? He's wounded (crippled) in the leg.

2) What did you do with the civilian "prisoner"? He has gunshot wounds to his stomach and leg.

3) What did you do with the rescued hostage. She's shaken up but not physically harmed.

4) Did you tell the CP about the enemy prisoner when they asked how many dead and prisoners do you have onsite?

I am not sure if you intended for any of these people to be evacuated with your wounded so I didn't make any dice rolls or include them in the turn. If they were to be interrogated or given medical aid, that needs to be mentioned (and specified by who)... or you can just play it out in the this turn which might be a good idea to give some people something to do/post about while the leadership gets organized.

*I forgot to include a brief reply to Eikki from the wounded prisoner...

Eikki Termonen:
"Search him."

Alex's search comes up with a set of soviet webbing containing:
2x Frag grenades
1x CS grenade
1x Stun grenade
1x Demo charge (burn fuse)
6x 5.45mmB magazines
1x Gas mask
1x Crowbar

...and 1x AK74 w/30 rnd. magazine (10 rounds)

Eikki Termonen:
"Where are you hit?" he asked as Alex worked.

"My leg." he answers. "I can't move it. It is broken."

Eikki Termonen:
"Who are you? What happened here? Answer truth and we call medic."

The man hesitates for a moment, then winces as Alex removes his webbing, before answering quietly in very good English, "I am Szymom Kotsis. From near Warsaw." Then "I don't know much. I work for the Handlowcy Unii... the Merchant Union, you know? I was hired to help guard this place when we were attacked."

"I thought you were the bastards who attacked earlier."

I think that we would have got the female hostage to try to identify both the enemy prisoner (who is now claiming that he’s part of Lada’s guards) and the civilian prisoner.  Anyone she identifies as being part of Lada’s group will (I think) have been sent to St. Mary’s as well, though we may want to talk to them about chemical weapons before they go.

I think that we need to ask her some questions about Lada’s operation, just in case she knows something.

Fusilier:
4) Did you tell the CP about the enemy prisoner when they asked how many dead and prisoners do you have onsite?

I think that we want to talk to him before we tell the CP about him but this should probably be roleplayed through.

What else do we find on the corpses, both the attackers and Lada’s guards?  So far you’ve said the following:

From the prisoner:
AK74 w/30 rnd. magazine (10 rounds)
Set of soviet webbing:
2x Frag grenades
1x CS grenade
1x Stun grenade
1x Demo charge (burn fuse)
6x 5.45mmB magazines
1x Gas mask
1x Crowbar

From the Forklift area:
2x AK74 (7 + 3x magazines w/ 285 rounds)
1x RPK-74 (6+ 1x magazines w/ 205 rounds)
1x Silenced MP5 (4x magazines w/100 rounds)
2x Makarov (3x magazines w/12 rounds)
4x CS Gas grenades
2x F1 Frag grenades taken by O’Brien
1x HC Smoke grenades
1x 3-Stick Dynamite Charge with burn fuse taken by O’Brien
1x Crowbar
1x Wire Clippers
1x Rescue/Signal flare
1x NVGs NVS-7 (BROKEN) taken by O’Brien
1x Kalinka Pn-14K NVG
1x US AN/PRC-139 Hand Radio taken by O’Brien
2x US Angle Neck Flashlight
4 + 4x AA Batteries remaining 4 taken by O’Brien (I think)
4x D Batteries taken by O’Brien
4x Field Dressings
5x Atropine Autoinjectors
5x Chemical Detector Papers (Disposable)
11x Cigarettes (Postwar)
1x Garrote
2x Combat knives
1x Spare respirator filter
5x sets of webbing (USSR/Polish/American)
Assorted clothing - mostly USSR/Polish military with some German/American
NVGs pouches - 1x pouch that attaches to Soviet webbing & 1x pouch with shoulder strap

I think that that means that we need the details of the men who were killed around the dock area as well as any weapons recovered from Lada’s men (particularly the guard post).  Is that right?

Isn't there a machinegun on a roof as well?

Medical Supplies:
O'Brien -1x field dressing (for Mitch)

Cymon - Mitch has a field dressing of his own in a pouch so O'Brien can have used that one if you like. (assuming that Fuse is ok with that tweak)

Re: Corpse robbing!

In reply to Luis Ortega (msg #951):

Ok, if you are going to use them for information, I think we ought to keep them on location with you for the moment. That way I can see who is involved in the questioning (to make relevant rolls) and we can see the actual dialogue. This can be a concurrent task given to one of more PCs while others bury the dead (if you want), explore the compound more thoroughly, deal with the intact canisters of gas, etc.

I'll get a list up later tonight of the equipment found on the dead.

I don't mind if O'Brien uses Mitch's field dressing as long as one of them is deleted off of a sheet... otherwise Mitch loses an arm!

Re: Corpse robbing!

OK, what tasks can people think of that we need to do now:

 - interrogate prisoners
 - bury the dead
 - explore the compound more thoroughly
 - deal with the intact canisters of gas and the damaged ones (just in case one of them just has a minor leak)
 - repair the hole we cut in the wire
 - get details of the vehicles with batteries removed in case any of them are useful to us and are worth trading to get a battery for (assuming that we don't find the batteries)
 - inventory the gear/equipment in the compound to work out what is useful
 - check the bandages on anyone who was wounded prior to the battle (doesn't Oskar need stitching up again?)
 - recharge batteries

Can anyone think of anything else to add to this list for the immediate future?

What are we going to do with the gas? Turning it over raises issues and we can't really drive around with it either.

That is a very good question.

Are we sure that it is a chemical weapon however?  Or is it actually some industrial gas that is bad if inhaled?

It doesn’t seem to have a delivery system at present so it might well be industrial.

However if it poses a risk I say just release it somewhere where there is open ground while the wind is strong and let it dissipate.

Re: Corpse robbing!

If we kept careful control of it, it would be a significant force multiplier.  Mike would say the symptoms match chlorine gas, which has both industrial and military uses.  It's fatal in medium doses and at the very least a good weapon for incapacitating in even small doses.

I doubt we'll get to keep it, the IB know we have encountered gas and have shown themselves willing to use it. I say we stand up and hand it over, hopefully it'll help convince the IB we're worth working with rather than treating us as pariahs.

Do you think that we could trade it with them, maybe for a military vehicle or some kind?  (I have no idea how valuable it is)

Alternatively we could dispose of it before they arrive and just give them the damaged tanks.

Re: Corpse robbing!

I doubt it, they took our vehicle off us so they're unlikely to be trading one at any point. We also have a member of the IB on staff so I'd rather play with a straight bat and ingratiate ourselves with the brass than do something maverick that could blow up in our face.

Fuse, thanks for this list - who doesn't have a kevlar vest?  Is it just Janusz, Alexandar and Low Blow?  Does Felix have a set?  Also do Williamson & Morgan have vests?

The AK-105 is a carbine and therefore has a shorter range than the AK-74.  I'm not sure about anything else in terms of game mechanics.

AK74 has longer range and causes greater damage.
AK105 is slightly lighter and less bulky.

Felix, Morgan and Williamson - HAVE
Janusz, Alexandar and Low Blow - NOT HAVE

Does anyone need me to move up the game time any more or need anything else?

I think that it's important for Eikki to have a radio but I think that we have enough to give him one without taking Alex's.  There is a US AN/PRC-139 Tac Radio in the recovered gear and Alexander has one as well.

Sorry, seems I forgot to get back to you on this. I've already added all of it to the bottom of you sheet, so you can just cut and paste the items to where you want them.

Note, you have two radios now...
1x US AN/PRC-139 Hand Radio (captured)
1x SEM-52S Tac Radio (from Caleb I think)
