In reply to Luis Ortega (msg #949):

Zodiacs, compressors and scuba gear could be useful to store at Kaminski's as it is next to the water.

Possible salvage or some sneaky shit in the future.

Yeah. Seaside gaming location with lots of harbors and bridges. We could easy find use for it in the future.

Recall a long time ago when some of the group had to float down the river on air mattresses. Now look what we got!

Francis 'Frank' Benucci:
In reply to Fusilier (msg #940):

OK, Frank will then return the following gear, when practical:

AK-74 MAG 1: 26/30
AK-74 MAG 2: 30/30
AK-74 MAG 3: 30/30
AK-74 MAG 4: 30/30
RPK-74 MAG 1: 45/45

Frank will need to draw out [150] rounds of 7.62S for the drum mags (and once he gets the other one from Varis?).

Instead of going back into the party stores, Frank will give these items to Varis please.

In reply to Francis 'Frank' Benucci (msg #959):

Fuse - this means that we'll need 85 rounds from somewhere else to pay for the river transport for Alex etc.

EDIT - that shouldn't be a problem though - it just needs to come from someone with a 5.45mmB weapon I think.  What was Alex armed with?  Could it come from his ammo?  If it can't then Morgan is returning and he has a Tantal I believe.  How much ammo is he carrying?

Ok no problem. Varis add them to your sheet.

Re: OOC Thread 8

Turn is up. I didn't want to advance it further because I didn't get a chance for any dialogue between JJM/Ortega and the Marines. I did leave it with something that you might want to address however.

JJM/Ortega, I'll get your portion of the turn up tonight.

Mike, I also wanted to do a part on the clinic work. Will add this later too.

Thanks to everyone for the recent IC input. I know downtime doesn't usually draw as much interest as combat, this is a war game after all, but I was rather impressed with the attention that it got.

Re: OOC Thread 8

Hey,

I was out of town and unexpectedly out of internet access for the weekend, so sorry for the delays on PMs.

For the next turn, tomorrow, I was thinking of just concluding this downtime and skipping ahead by a day. This allow for the unit to be ready to move again and finish off the mission. We had some really good IC input, but I don't want to let to go too long... and I'm looking forward to moving things in a completely different direction.

Fyi Billy is not going to use a destructor fuse on the aircraft bomb. He was going to make one with a golf ball sized lump of C4 and a standard blasting cap, also he was hoping the villagers would come up with some plastic covered wire for the arming trigger. Thanks.

Re: OOC Thread 8

Ok, turn is up. It's kind of long as I covered 3 days. I know there was still some outstanding dialogue and action opportunities for some of the players, but I felt that the main group would need either another round of domestic house chores or an attack of some kind to keep them involved. To keep things moving, I summed everything up - hope that is okay with everyone.

At this time you are ready to depart, but will need to first formulate a basic road move plan. Night or day, order of vehicles, seating, etc.

I'll add in a different thread a summary of your vehicles as well as all additional vehicles and manpower.

In reply to Fusilier (msg #972):

Fuse, have you removed Morgan and Michaels from the Mad Dog roster?

Re the transport mission, could we consider sending a small group, maybe 3 strong, off on foot in advance to scout the route. Alternatively, send Eikki on his own? They could check the route and identify potential ambushes, and we could pick them up en route.

Is this realistic? If so I can suggest it IC.

Re: OOC Thread 8

I'd suggest that we do a night flit with the UAZ running as a scout and the convoy stopping to send out troops to secure the bridge that we were ambushed on before we cross it. Does any one have a preference for which vehicle they are in and how we do this?

Re: OOC Thread 8

In reply to Billy 'Crack' O'Brien  (msg #980):

This made me remember something I forgot to include in the turn, so I added in another segment which also includes a description of the cargo.

To summarize...

- Most of the supplies are NATO small arms ammo (5.56mm, 7.62mm, and .50cal - but very little 9mmP).

- The next most common items are mortar rounds (81mm and 120mm but including some Pact 82mm and 120mm too).

- Then the rest is made up of NATO artillery rounds, Pact weaponry and ammo, M72 rockets, and miscellaneous stuff such as gas mask filters, MOPP suits, parts, batteries, etc.

Nothing that could have been damaged by being immersed in seawater for a few weeks has been checked for damage though, as everything is still in their crates.

Cymon, was this okay? Or were you looking for a different sort of answer?
