Re: OOC Thread - 18

Re the upcoming activities in Gdansk,

Varis will accompany JJM.

Per has no strong preferences regarding assignment, so please feel free to assign him to whichever party needs him.

John Jameson McCarthy:
JJ can switch to PACT ammo if people want. Also, in consultation with Fuse, Tom was able to fix some of the broken guns so we have two working AK-74s, three working RPK-74s and three working AKMs in stores.

Excellent. I suggest we add two of the RPK-74s to our trade bundle, or gift them to Osprey as part of the thank-you package.

Re: OOC Thread - 18

Ok, it sounds like we have four things going on next, just to make Fuse's life simple:

 - Kessler, Ferro and interested parties: Intel in town plus visit to St Marys - Rodriguez has been asked to come along

 - Jan, Walsh and interested parties: Shopping in the market and then delivering some ammo to Osprey

 - McCarthy, Varis and interested parties: Shopping at the arms dealer & visiting LoSA to organise sentries

 - Andropov, Voight, O'Brian and anyone else: setting up mines and digging ditches

Per, Tosh & Price currently floating as potential drivers who stay with vehicles.

Hopefully I've put initial names in the correct places but please say where you'd like your character to go.

Ta,

Andy

Re: OOC Thread - 18

Is it okay if my PC draws the following things from stores:

1x   AN/PRC-68 Short Range
150x 7.62mmN, Link
1x   SPAS-12 (Fixed Stock)
15x  12Gauge Slug
29x  12Gauge Buckshot

Also, it might be an idea to issue the two sets of over-whites to scouts/snipers now

The assignments look fine to me. As soon as JJ's done at Skiora he'll get his team back to help with digging.

In my experience the possibility of coming back from a meeting to do more work is a strong motivating factor to try and make the meeting last longer.    :)

Re: OOC Thread - 18

Ok, going back over previous posts I think that the assignments are:

 - Kessler, Ferro, Rodriguez and Per (as driver of new Humvee): Intel in town plus visit to St Marys

 - Jan, Walsh and Price (as driver of Iltis): Shopping in the market and then delivering some ammo to Osprey

 - McCarthy, Varis and Tosh (as driver of old Humvee): Shopping at the arms dealer & visiting LoSA to organise sentries

 - Andropov and Schmidt: improving facilities - this might just be digging ditches at this stage so if Schmidt wants to do something else then please say

 - Voight and O'Brian: setting up mines

What does Dietrich wish to do? The trip to the market could use another person.

Have I forgotten anyone? Does anyone want to do anything different to the above?

Please remember that drivers need to stay with their vehicles as rates of theft in Gdansk are so high no insurer will provide cover......

He wants to go check out the docks and shipyards. If possible he'd like to take Schmidt with him and someone who knows the city.

In reply to Jan Czerny (msg # 54):

I think Ferro would prefer the old Humvee...

Ferro Msg 19:
"I'll take a team in the Humvee once we figure out what we're doing." Ferro then volunteers. "My Humvee." she then clarifies with a smirk, trying to brighten the mood a little by specifying which Humvee in particular she was talking about. It wasn't really hers, but it was. Andropov could keep his Frankenstein Humvee.

Noted. Fuse has asked that we keep it to 3 active groups though so we need to reduce the existing number already. Do you mind if we hold off on this one please?

Additionally there is another option for a boat. I'll post about it in a sec.

Re boats, if you look at the bottom of this plan of the compound there is a partially sunk boat right next to the compound. We looked at it previously IC I believe and it was beyond us to re-float. Schmidt may have the skills to do this however.

That'd be an interesting start if it's not frozen over. Depending on how damaged it is it could probably be floated but recovery might have to wait until it's warmer

Re: OOC Thread - 18

Well, it's been underwater for about 3+ years and in rough shape. If it were to be salvaged and made useful again it would require a fairly significant effort in terms of man hours, equipment, and materials.

If it were easier someone else would have already have done it.

Please don't forget about Frank's equipment I posted.  He had an AKM with a flashlight on it, [1] or [2] 75 round drum mags, plus some 30 round AKM mags.  Plus other weapons of destruction...

Corkman,

Technically, we don't yet know that Frank is dead so it's a little premature so start re-assigning his gear.

Ta,

Andy

That's fine, just throwing it out there

At some point, Voight would like to go into town and meet u with some of the Marines in the IB.  Setting up mines and doing whatever needs to be done with his injury for now is fine.  HE has no CBE skill or anything like that so, he will follow O'Brien's lead

Schmidt will happily get things going, something simple like this appeals to him.  He will also take a look at that boat and see what he can scrounge from it.

At some point he will want to go shopping for some more clothing and creature comforts but that will wait.  He also needs to get to the hospital at some point.

FYI, when it comes to it the person in/with the Mad Dogs who knows the city best is either an NPC called Aleksandr or Kaminski.

Re: OOC Thread - 18

Ok, revised plan for who is doing what:

 - Kessler, Ferro, Rodriguez and Per (as driver of the old Humvee): Intel in town plus visit to St Mary's

 - Jan, Walsh, Schmidt and Price (as driver of the Iltis): Shopping in the market

 - McCarthy, Varis and Tosh (as driver of new Humvee): Shopping at the arms dealer & visiting LoSA to organise sentries

 - Andropov: improving facilities - this will probably be narrated so if any PCs choose to do this they will be effectively doing nothing interactive this turn

Voight, Dietrich and O'Brien, please can you declare what you want to do. Also if someone is assigned incorrectly then please say. This will give Fuse three active threads.

Thanks,

Andy

Billy is happy to work on the mines as long as he has someone to help given his busted arm. I assume that we still have the following in stores ?

PMN-2 mine x3
C3A1 ELSIE Mines (Case) x12

If so it is probably time they were laid if we have a place for them. If there is time he wouldn't mind going to the arms dealer in the Humvee if there is room.

I think that Billy needs to do this in the reverse order, based on when the trip to the arms dealer is happening.

Revised plan:

 - Kessler, Ferro, Rodriguez and Per (as driver of the old Humvee): Intel in town plus visit to St Mary's
