Re: OOC Thread - 22

In reply to David 'Tosh' Lines (msg # 18):

That's a tough call. More light we'll help us see the enemy, but it will also help the enemy see us.

I think we have a slight edge in NODs, but not all of our PCs have them, so it's difficult to say which option is more beneficial/less detrimental to the Mad Dogs.

Re: OOC Thread - 22

In reply to Per Kolstrup (msg # 19):

Agreed. The only thing to add to that is that the enemy are assaulting and therefore more likely to be in the open than we are. That's an over simplification but if we follow that logic then more light might be more beneficial for us than for them.

On balance though I think that our superiority in NODs means that we'd be better off without using the flares and keeping them as an option for later. I just thought that it was worth confirming that we have this option is we need it.

Also just want to point out in case it was missed but there's a roadflare burning in front of the trench only 9m or so away.

I would also think that the flare would be obstructing Hank's NOD's?

That's a really good point.

And other NVGs as well so that's a very good point.

It's an option if the situation changes.

Map updated.

The GPMG hadn't fired before so the belt from the gun to the opened can is full. Each can holds 220 rounds.

Fuse,

From the slit trench, can Jan see the single enemy soldier to the north of him who is labelled "Inside perimeter. Lying prone and firing."? I'm not sure if the Krok blocks his LOS or not.

Thanks,

Andy

Jan's at the bottom of the trench so he can't see anyone.

That LOS is blocked anyway.

Rae - I'm not sure from Per's post whether he wants Tosh to continue firing at the wall or switch to the technical that Per is engaging so I've posted IC for Tosh essentially asking for guidance.

In reply to David 'Tosh' Lines (msg # 30):

It's a fair question. I didn't mention it IC because I'm not quite sure what Per sees, and without illum, I don't think Lines could see the technical. I'll respond IC, though.

Fuse, can Tosh see the muzzle flashes from the technical? Looking at the map I think that he has LOS but I'm not sure about the darkness or the snow.

Re: OOC Thread - 22

Fuse, does Tosh know enough about where the technical is (after it fired on him) to engage it? And if he does would it be counted as just area fire or could he accurately engage it?

Turn is up but I have to log off now so the map will need to wait. I think the only real change though is the move of the technical and to indicate the splash zone for the 30mm barrage.

@Fuse: Can someone standing up through the air-guard hatch of the BTR-60 see beyond the perimeter wall? IIRC, the answer is yes, but I would like to confirm. Thanks.

Re: OOC Thread - 22

So I had completely forgotten that Alpha Humvee only has three wheels now. Remember, one was taken off to replace that which was damaged on Lobo.

So just keep that in mind if you're going to be asking for Alpha to move around again.

I should probably have clarified, but Kessler will take his observation action regardless of whether an ILLUM round is available or not.
