Re: Moving Things Along

Advancement of the plot is currently in the hands of the PCs. The Judge is waiting for PCs.

Re: Moving Things Along

To reiterate, the Judge is waiting for the PCs to advance the plot at this time. It has been a few RL days now since JEB received the telegram and showed it to Cole Trayne.

Re: Moving Things Along

In reply to Judge Messalen (msg # 965):

The Judge is still waiting for PC action. The posts made yesterday are fine, but they don't advance the plot.

PCs that stayed outside the telegraph office, with PIstlethwaite, while JEB and Cole fetched the telegram should now assume that the two men have exited and rejoined the group outdoors.

Please indicate where the PCs are going and what they are doing at this time.

Wolverines

Travis, despite the loss, I was very impressed with the aggressive choice to go for the win. At that level, under those circumstances, you play to win. No excuses.

Nice game.

In reply to Cole Trayne (msg # 968):

The rebuilding of the Wolverines is still a year or two away from completion.  I feel the team despite its high loss total has been an example of a bunch of good kids working hard and being charitable with their time and energies.  We'll call it a disappointing season.  I was happy to watch and cheer for the squad and felt no shame or sadness in the loss.

Re: Wolverines

The Judge won't be advancing the plot until the PCs have stated actions beyond their discussion in room #10 at Planters.

As far as the Judge is concerned, that conversation can continue as long as the PCs want it to continue; however, the PCs must state actions IC (as opposed to talking to each other) in order to proceed. It seems like the conversation has reached a lull, and although the PCs have stated some potential courses of action, it is incumbent upon the PCs to move things forward with actual in-game action statements.

In reply to Cole Trayne (msg # 974):

In the next two weeks, the expectation of daily posting will be relaxed. I would like to continue game-play regularly, but I will understand if players need extra time to check-in and post, so we will continue to take things slowly. I don't think there will be any issues, but if you expect that your daily posts won't be possible, please inform everyone here, as Cole did, so we know where things stand.

We'll have company in the house for the next week starting tomorrow, so although I think that I'll still be able to check in and post on a daily basis, it's possible that I might miss a day along and along.

Re: Wolverines

In reply to Travis Sunday (msg # 981):

There was PC to PC interaction started by JEB, speaking to Travis, that hasn't received follow-up. Wondering if Travis missed that, as he has logged in.

Right now, advance of the plot is mostly in the hands of the PCs. There is PM going on as well.

Re: Wolverines

At the moment, all advancement is controlled by the PCs.

Jake and ENS need to pick a saloon. They may advance themselves to the saloon as desired, and then Judge will provide additional narrative or NPC interaction.

Travis has entered the Beehive as per the public post and may advance himself in the interior as he pleases. And then the Judge will provide additional narrative or NPC interaction.

Randy is at Owsley's. He has a routine at this time of day, so the Judge will continue with that unless the PC states otherwise.

JEB will continue reading stories in the Echo until the PC states otherwise (the Judge will contnue to make daily posts with content).

Cole is in Picket Jail. He may continue conversing with Indian Kate, or wait for dinner or whatever else he can think to do while sitting in the cell.

Malapropriations

I'm a rather grand fan of malapropisms. I have fun because of the huge joke. They're usage is fruitful to determine who really listens to you when you speak.

The traditional malapropism uses a word in place of another which is similar in pronunciation or usage, but not meaning. I also like mixed idioms in which one combines two idioms or traditional phrases to make an inappropriate expression. "We've just bit the tip off the iceberg" or "It will take time to restore chaos and order" (the latter being a classic G. W. Bush-ism) are examples of each.

In my recent post (# 840), I used "for all intents and purposes." For the sake of propriety, I used it correctly. However, my frequent and intentional malapropism is "for all intensive purposes." Since most people don't notice the change, I'm convinced we're going to "hell in a handbag." But, you can "stand assured" I'll stay vigilant, because "at the end of the date," "the light is in the tunnel."

ROFLMAO! Well-played, sir! :)

PS. The question occurs to me, does Randy resemble that remark? :)
