Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[ Yamada Nori rolled 26 using 1d20+10. Ninjutsu Defense. Successful dodge. ]

Upon hearing Sigmund's words and seeing him crack his neck, Nori couldn't help but let the corner of her mouth turn up into a coy smirk. "Please don't hurt me, Mr. Big Bad Wolf. I'm so scared. Someone please help. Whatever will I do?" she said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she stood her ground. It didn't matter how much he tried to intimidate her with his big words or overly confident attitude. Not even the sight of his bones ripping through the tips of his fingertips scared her. Before it used to make her cringe. The things that he could do with his body and his bones, it was unlike anything she had ever seen before, but now...now there was no time to cringe or be scared. She couldn't afford to be. When those bone bullets came towards her, Nori continued to stand her ground. Much as he probably thought that she was predictable in reaching for her kunai's, he was just as predictable for wanting to take out her leg first. However, he wasn't going to get it so easily. Once those bullets came close enough, she turned slightly to the side and pushed off of her front leg, contorting her body slightly as she did an aerial avoid the bone bullets that were coming towards her.

However, upon doing the first out of two aerials, Nori made quick to grab a handful of her shuriken she had tucked away within her belt before she did her hand signs. "Fire Style: Phoenix Safe Fire!" she exclaimed before she aimed the concealed shuriken within the volley of fireballs that flew in a wild frenzy towards Sigmund. Within the second aerial, she made haste to create another hand sign before she landed on her foot.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[Akitoki rolled 12 using 1d20+11; Successful dodge. Ninjutsu counter.]

He had ignored Nori's sarcasm. It actually didn't make her attractive because that type of persona just didn't fit her well. However he didn't care. He watched her closely. Sigmund paid close attention to his bullets. She had managed to simply dodge his bone bullets, but it didn't phase him. It was to test the waters. It was to test her movements, the way she moved on the leg, and the way she gracefully used her body. He did have the intention to immobilize however he wasn't bummed at all with the failed attack.

She had managed to get herself in the air and used one of her weaker ninjutsu techniques. Her hand no longer held a kunai, but shuriken instead. She concealed the sharp ninja tools within her fire style jutsu. Just like her, however a bit faster, he began to sign the Tiger. He focused on the balls of fire headed his way and at the right moment, he executed jutsu opposite from her's in elemental choice.

"Water Style: Liquid Bullet!" he shouted. Sigmund kneads chakra, and converts it into water, and then he spat it out in the form of condensed balls. The high-speed water-ball attack possesses just as much power to kill as an actual gunshot, similar to his more powerful jutsu, Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets. Sigmund made it possible to increase the power of destruction of the balls themselves by building up the chakra inside of them. The number of bullets is determined while kneading chakra. He matched the number of his bullets to her fire balls. As he fired the water bullets at her jutsu, they inpacted each other. The fire and water canceled each other, hearing the sizzling noise of the fire going out, leaving behind tiny clouds of mist that was gusted away immediately from the wind. Her shurikens became more visable and Sigmund was able to step aside as they simply just hit the ground and stuck.

He didn't give her much time after that to respond as he charged up chakra into his hands. Holding his hands close together like he was holding a small ball. A bright, white bluish light began to form. Electrical sparks started to crackle from his hands. The mass of lightning got bigger the longer Sigmund kneaded chakra into his hands. Once the ball reached the size of a beach ball, he launched it directly at her. "Lightning Style: Lightning Ball!" With the wind on his side, the ball picked up speed and with the amount of force of launch, the ball was going 50mph and had a good massive damage rate if it struck Nori.

[ Yamada Nori rolled 29 using 1d20+10. Dodge successful, Ninjutsu Defense. ]

Nori knew just what it was that Sigmund was capable of and most likely his first move was merely to test her movement. However, there was no doubt that he was going to aim for her weaknesses in this fight and one of them was her leg. That attack was definitely intentional. One by one she watched her fireballs go out with his next move. She already figured that attack wasn't going to have any effect, but she didn't expect it to. He probably already saw it coming. Her ninjutsu wasn't the best as her style didn't revolve much around it, but that was her advantage in this fight. She may only have good use out of one leg in this fight, but perhaps that was all she needed. There were a lot of things that Sigmund excelled at more than her, but she was more than confident in her strength, flexibility, and fighting style. As she saw him execute it into a large ball infused with his chakra and lightning, Nori stood her ground. She made quick to use her hands seals before she lowered herself down and slammed her hands down onto the ground. "Earth Style: Earth Shore Return!" she shouted as the dirt particles formed a thick, protective wall in front of her to defend against the lightning ball. She knew the wall wouldn't last long, but it would give her just enough time to get out from behind it.

Once the ball had hit the wall, it created a large cloud of dust to rise up, Nori was going to use that to her advantage as she knew the wind was going to pick it up within seconds. With the dust starting to fade, she used that as an opportunity to push off her right leg and take off in Sigmund's direction. She knew she had to stay off her injured leg as much as she could and although that wasn't going to be easy, it wasn't impossible. When she got a safe enough distance from her teammate, she launched herself quickly into the air by pushing off her foot. She started to unravel the tape from around her hand and curled it into a tight fist. "Strong Fist!" she exclaimed as she aimed her fist towards Sigmund's head, knowing full well that with the strength behind it, it could cause some serious physical damage. From just behind Sigmund, Nori's summoned clone she had made in her first attack, wrapped her arms underneath his shoulders to hold him in place.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[23:24, Mon 06 Feb: Akitoki Sigmund rolled 22 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense. Penalty placed of -2. Total: 20]

He had believed that would have hit. Believing the wind added the speed and momentum he needed, he thought his electrical ball was faster than her ninjutsu casting, but he had a slight miscalculation. Right now, he was a bit disappointed in himself, but no matter. He knew that just meant Nori got better than he would have thought. He liked it. He liked it lot actually. It fueled him inside, like a firecracker finally igniting inside.

Too occupied with his thoughts, he lately notice how quickly Nori moved from behind her wall, using the dirt and dust particles as a partial camouflage which bought her time enough to exert force for her next move: a taijutsu move. He noticed it quickly as she rushed to approach him from above. Just as he noticed that though, his arms were constricted. He smirked. I'll give her one thing: a distraction to get a hold of me. Well played. he thought to himself, but she should be well aware any taijutsu against him were going to be deadly encounters.

His taijutsu involved his kekkei genkai, a deadly bone possession where he could make any close enounter a regretful mistake. Although Sigmund didn't desire to kill Nori, however something felt like it awoken from within. He felt different in this very moment. Time had stood still as a deep desire to win overcame him. Physically, his eyes had already changed to a bright green with the red underling eye shadow. But now his hair began to change. The tips of his black hair began to change its color to a silvery white.

As Nori came down with that deadly punch of her's, time had continued on and in a split second, he headbutted the close behind him, which then loosen his hold. He moved his feet gracefully to the right and quickly grabbed Nori's clone by the shoulders and with all his might, he flung the clone right at Nori.

Nori was then forced to use her punch on her own clone, which was meant for him. The clone dispersed into a white cloud of smoke as do most clones do. This was now Sigmund's time to execute his own up and personal attack. Using the white cloud to buy him time, he grew some bones out. With the stadium so quiet and focused on watching the two battle it out, the crackling of his bones could be heard yet again like in his previous matches. One of his bones began peering out of his skin from his upper arm. With his left hand, he pulled it right out as it took form of a short, bone-hilt bone sword. It was one of his most common attacks with his kekkei. "Dance of the Camellia!" he shouted as he jumped up with force, meeting Nori half way through the air, his bone sword in hand. He began stabbing chaotically and continuously, causing Nori's eyes to lag behind. The speed resembles afterimages, the hand with the sword is again and again visibly projected. And yet the movement is irregular which makes it difficult to predict. With each thrust the sword's track is very capable if changing. The attack comes from unexpected angles, causing a person's delicate defense reaction to come off guard. Though one can have great reflexes and moving ability, it is next to impossible to keep dodging the fierce attack until it stops. And he had no intention of stopping until Nori was flat on the ground from this attack alone. Most of his strikes went for her entire right side, fractured leg included.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[ Yamada Nori rolled 31 using 1d20+12. Taijutsu Defense. ]

Nori was positive that her fist would hit its mark as it was rare when it didn't, but when she saw him headbutt her clone and toss it in her direction, she realized it was too late to stop her fist now. Instead of hitting Sigmund, it hit her clone, causing it poof up into smoke and create a hazy overcast. Her teammate was no longer in sight and it took a moment or two for her eyes to adjust as the smoke began to clear. Damn. I can't believe I missed. I never miss she thought silently to herself before an all too familiar noise filled her ears. Bones cracking. That could only mean one thing. When the smoke finally cleared, she saw Sigmund unleash a bone from his arm which took shape into a sword. She knew that over the years, it took time for him to develop such techniques and the fact that it didn't hurt him anymore each time he did such things, amazed her. She truly did admire what her teammate despite the fact that he only thought of her as a rival. Perhaps being his rival only fueled him to be stronger and better than she was. Maybe he needed the rivalry instead of a friendship to keep him going. To prove something to himself. Seeing such determination within him only made her want to continue getting stronger and better, too. Nori was confident in her abilities, but she knew that she was capable of so much more. She just had to keep working harder. Maybe Sigmund could help push her to do that.

Upon seeing him jump into the air and thrust his sword at her, everything felt like it was in slow motion to her. This was one of his best moves. She had only seen it a few times before, but she knew it was fast and pretty accurate. Her body moved from side to side to dodge each thrust of his sword, but her eyes never left it. She had to calculate the speed and study each of the sword's movements. No one movement was the same. It was moving in a different pattern each time. The sword did become a blurry image at first, but she had to remain focused or else it would pierce her. Sigmund always had been a little faster than her, but she felt that he lacked just a bit of strength behind each movement he had done. If his strength was as good as his speed, there would be no stopping him but unfortunately for him, he wasn't quite there just yet. Once his sword made a movement for her injured leg, Nori quickly used that as an opportunity to do a back flip in the air to get behind Sigmund. The wind was on her side as it would help deliver the blow that she was hoping to land this time. "Leaf Rising Wind!" she exclaimed as she swiftly brought her leg round to make contact with the side of his neck that, if hit upon, would send him flying and give her the opportunity to deliver a few more swift kicks to the body.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[21:46, Today: Akitoki Sigmund rolled 22 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense.]

He had allowed a small smirk upon his face when he honestly saw the clone take the impact of her strong punch. She was so confident that it was going to work against him, but she needed to realize he was always going to be the best. He was always going to come out on top. Even though hardly any of his attacks hadn't landed yet, he knew the time was near. Because they had been doing anything but executing, casting, and dodging, the first hit was going to be massive. Not deadly, but massive. The anticipation of who was going to land a hit first was anxious. It pumped the adrenaline through his veins, running through his muscles and all over his bones. The thrill was exhilarating.

He made an attempt to perform one of his exotic dances. It was one of the most basic dances he knew. It used his raw speed and bone-wielding techniques, to trick his enemy, to confuse them, almost daze them. Nori had seen it many times and even though that was the case, he was sure he would strike. He made the wrong move though. She predicted it too well of him at this point. Striking for her leg in the air, she choose to make her move almost instantly. Back flipping behind him, he missed. With the winds picking up, she had an advantage. She exclaimed her attack and went for his neck. Of course, his wound was exposed and all it would take is to get struck with that to reopen it and perhaps bleed out with pain. He gritted his teeth and closed his eyes. Allowing the strike to hit him in the neck. Two seconds passed as she made contact with him.

And before her eyes, Sigmund was no longer there. Instead, was a log of wood. Sigmund managed to perform a substitution jutsu at the last minute. At this point, she had missed two of her most powerful taijutsu attacks. He was sure she was bound to have exhausted herself a bit. It took as much force and strength to strike and hit as it was to strike and miss. From the crowd, a bunch of awing could be heard from the way things played out in those last seconds.

"Ten-Finger Driller Bullets!" a shout could be heard from behind, on the ground. There Sigmund stood, fingers extended and 10 bone bullets heading her way from her own behind. The deadly bullets had the same advantage from the wind as Nori had done as well. The crowd cheered from excitement from the surprise attack Sigmund managed to attempt. He could only hope this would hit this time. It was time to take that leg out. It was time to slow her down more than she already was.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[ Yamada Nori rolled 15 using 1d20+10. Ninjutsu Defense. ]

When Nori felt her kick land against the side of Sigmund's neck, she was sure that she had got him but when he suddenly disappeared and log of wood took his place, she twirled back around and landed on the ground, sliding back and wincing at the sudden shot of pain that went through her. She had landed wrong and ended up putting too much pressure on the wrong leg. Last minute substitution jutsu, huh? That certainly was clever of you, Sigmund she thought silently as she slowly stood up from the ground whilst holding onto her leg. She began to feel her brow start to perspire and her breathing start to grow just a little bit shallow. Those last two attacks of hers took some energy out of her, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. She had trained her body everyday to handle this much pressure. She built up the stamina. The energy. That's what all this training was for. She'd be damned if this was going to stop her. However, upon hearing the crowd cheering from behind her, she turned around and saw those same bone bullets coming her way. "Damn," she muttered before she began to create her hands seals. "Earth Style. Earth Shore Return!" It was just as she was able to construct a wall of solid ground in front of her that the bullets broke through the barrier and before she had time to get away, they struck her.

Nori had to hold her ground as the bone bullets flew at her, but each one struck her in different parts of her body. She knew that Sigmund was trying to take out her leg and with this attack, it was guaranteed to slow her down. With each bullet that hit her, she could feel them tear through her skin and create wounds that caused her to bleed. She had to protect her arms because she knew she still needed those. Without them and her leg, she would be useless. She folded her arms behind her back as best she could and as as a few bullets made contact with her injured leg, she screamed and took a knee until it was over. She began to pant and tremble, curling her fists tightly as the pain coursed through her body. This was nothing. She had to endure this. Her eyes came into contact with the bleeding wounds of her leg and although it pained her to, she slowly stood up. Her leg trembled as she held onto it, staring into Sigmund's eyes. Looks like he was getting a lot more serious. She smirked. Well, she wasn't done yet. She brought up her hands and created the hand seals for her next move. Last time she used this attack it was made to strike him, but... "Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire!" she exclaimed as she extended her arms out to the side and expelled the volley of fireballs from the palms of her hands. They started to swirl and twist, making their ways towards Sigmund in an unpredictable manner. However, as they came close to striking him, they hit the ground just a few feet in front of him, creating a thick smokescreen to impair his vision.

Nori took that opportunity to disappear quickly into the cloud of smoke. "Leaf Rising Wind!" she called out just before she appeared near the ground in front of Sigmund. She placed her hands on the ground and extended her right leg, aiming to deliver a roundhouse kick to take him out from below and if succeeded, would deliver a few swift punches to his stomach before sending him flying up in the air with a hard kick. Sure this was putting a little pressure on her injured leg, but she had to fight through the pain. If she succeeded in this attack, not only would she send him flying, but she could deliver a few more kicks and punches to his body to send him down to the ground.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 21 using 1d20+10, Taijutsu Defense.]

Finally landing a hit was most satisfying in all its glory. The bullets shredded through her skin one by one, tearing her skin and exposing deep flesh wounds. A couple even managed to pierce her fractured leg. His bullets were made to pierce through bone itself. He knew she had to have taken a heavy blow when he noticed she descended to the ground and babied her leg. Alsmmost instantly she had gotten back up and tried yet again to use a distraction jutsu like before. He was familiar with this approach at this point of time.

The fireballs surrounded him from the front, impairing his vision as the black smoke created a temporary wall as his ears heard the sound of Nori approaching him as she declared her attack at him. But nature was on his side at the last minute. A gust of wind blew, shifting the smoke away from him, creating an opening of momentary vision to see through the attack. But he just stood there, taking the blow from her kick, however a puff of smoke appeared again, but lacked the log. It wasn't a substitution jutsu, it was a clone jutsu.

Little did Nori know, when she created the black wall of smoke from her fire ninjutsu, that gave Sigmund the opportunity to create a clone in his place before he quickly flickered away with his body flicker technique. When she landed the hit to his clone, the clone did disappear with a puff of smoke as per usual, however the puff of smoke was slightly bigger, which was the real Sigmund using his body flicker technique to maneuver out of the way almost instantly.

He was directly behind her at this point, with his bone sword in hand. "Dance of the Camellia!" he declared as he came charging from behind with his exotic dance. This time, he was wanting to pierce through skin, preferably one of her shoulder blades. If he pierced through that, it was over. She would lose a vital bone, which he of course could heal her up later, but for this fight, it needed to be done. He was through playing games with her and making her believe she could win this. Making her believe she could so foolishly beat Kotatsu, knowing damn well she was going to get herself killed.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[ Yamada Nori rolled 28 using 1d20+12. Taijutsu Defense. ]

Nori felt the gust of wind blow past her, ruffling her clothes and lightly dampened hair off to the side just as her foot made contact with Sigmund's ankle. However, it was too easy. He wouldn't just let himself be hit like that and she was right. She saw yet another one of his clones puff up into smoke on contact just as she saw Sigmund quickly disappear out of sight. "Damn. Missed again," she muttered to herself as she then heard his voice call out his next attack. She smirked, already knowing what to expect. When his sword would make contact, he would disappointed to find out that it was a mere clone of her's. She had managed to create the hand signs when she made that deliberate smokescreen of her's. Sigmund was fast and the probability of her hitting him seemed low as she knew that he would be able to dodge it quickly. She had to create a backup plan quickly. Once that sword had pierced that clone, another came up from behind Nori's teammate and pressed her lips close to his ear. "Surprise," she whispered near his ear before she tightly wound an arm around his neck, putting pressure against that wound of his.

"Strong Fist!" Nori exclaimed from above Sigmund within his tracks as she curled her hand tightly into a fist, pulling back the dressings that were around her hand as she aimed to strike her teammate in the jaw. If she succeeded, the punch would send him flying and enable her to deliver a few more blows to his body with her fists. The past techniques she had used hadn't worked just yet and it did irk her to no end, but she knew she had to keep trying. She knew that she couldn't underestimate her teammate. She never did. He wanted her to give up the fight and move onto the next stage of these exams, but she wasn't about to throw in the towel. She didn't know whether or not she would win or if she even had a chance in hell of winning the next fight if she even moved on that far, but winning or losing didn't matter to her. Moving onto the next level was important to Nori, but it wasn't everything. Even if she lost, it would give her more time to get stronger than she was now. She was going to give this all she had, but if she had to concede this battle, it would be on her own terms. Not anyone else's.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 26 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense]

Everything happened so fast. He missed her yet again with his dance. He was starting to get more pissed at himself than anything. He was slacking and he wasn't liking it. that, or she actually was almost his equal. Almost being the keyword here. Once his strike missed, she had managed to get behind him, however he knew right away it wasn't her. The first one had been a clone and Nori wasn't one to only make just one. Nori lacked ninjutsu, but she was a master at plans on a whim when it came to her clones.

The clone held onto his neck, tightly putting pressure on his wound. He felt his wound pulse, hearing his own heartbeat. This caused his blood to race within his veins, all throughout his body. He gritted his teeth and he prepared for the next assault. Not enough time to prepare either clone jutsu or substitution jutsu. He grabbed the clone's arms around his neck, and emitted an electrical charge from his hands. Powerful enough to dispel her clone. His neck seemed redder than earlier. That wound could open up with any more pressure.

The clone went poof, leaving behind the familiar white smoke. Sigmund used that opportunity to use his body flicker technique one more time, following a clone of his own in the mix. Nori would hit his clone yet again, making an even bigger cloud of smoke. Sigmund manged to make even more distance between them.

He was running out of time. Running out of ideas. They were ultimately going in circles and he grew tired of it. It was the same pattern. Execute, miss, counter, execute, miss, counter. Clone, hit, miss. Clone, hit, miss.

He shouted,"ARRRRRRAHHHHHHHHGGG!" It echoed throughout the entire stadium. As he did, bones began growing from outside his body. Many of the audience were amazed to see such talent, others were disgusted and others noticed something very important and were in complete shock. Bones began poking out his skin, from elbows, knees, shoulders, along all his arms, and torso. "Dance of the Willow!" he declared as he came running right towards her. To perform this dance, Sigmund grows several long bone blades from his body for use as weapons. There isn't any set form for the Dance of the Willow. Just like a willow that is shaken by the wind, the opponent's attacks are simply parried and countered. Uncharacteristic of a willow, the hardened bones puncture and damage the opponent's body. Though he primarily uses two blades grown from the palms of his hands, he also uses several secondary bones grown from his elbows, knees, and shoulders, but cannot hold those out for too long, so mainly just the use of hands. This dance form is incredibly acrobatic, using spins, charges, and long sweeping slashes to make the strikes more effective and to evade opponents' counter strikes. Sigmund can also extend his bones to attack his opponents without having to adjust his own movement.

He was done playing games. He was here to finish this. He was here to defeat her, the only obstacle stopping him from advancing and even killing off Kotatsu. His bullets may have slowed her down, but this was going to definitely immobilize her. This was the move that was going to end this useless brawl between them.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[ Yamada Nori rolled 31 using 1d20+12. Taijutsu Defense. Successful dodge. ]

When Nori saw Sigmund induce an electrical charge within his hands and grab hold of her clone's arms, it was only a matter of moments that her double went up in smoke once again. She was disappointed, yes, but not surprised. She just wasn't having any luck pinning any attacks down on Sigmund. It may have seemed that he was just a tad bit faster than her, but it was really more just about him being able to anticipate her moves. However, the same could be said about him, too. She knew what to expect. They both knew that going into this fight that they would know how to counter each other's moves should the time come, which made things just a little bit more difficult than either of them anticipated. Not to mention that there seemed to be a consistent pattern going on since the start of this fight. When Sigmund managed to purge through her defense and strike her with those bullets, she was caught off guard but she prepared herself for the blow. However, that was the only time he struck and that was surely pissing him off. Nori knew it by not just the scream of frustration that echoed off the stadium walls, but by the fact that he was so sure he would have won this fight already. She hated to admit it, but it was just a tad bit amusing to see him worked up like that and not see something of his going according to his plan. It actually made her smirk a little.

When she had missed Sigmund yet again and hit his clone, she did a back flip in the air and slid back on her injured leg, causing her to wince and grab hold of it. It was starting to tremble and the blood had continued to come down in small streams down her leg. She wasn't sure just how much longer her leg wound be able to hold out. As Nori stood up from the ground to catch her breath, she could see the bones popping out of Sigmund's body one by one. She knew that had to have hurt and take a toll on his body despite him being used to it. There had to be some kind of limit, right? She saw him charging towards her and she began to think of a defensive more. A solid thick wall full of dirt certainly wasn't going to stop him from slashing through it. It was proven that his bones would be able to penetrate her defense. With this move, she was positive that he intended to take her out with it but she wasn't about to let him have his way like he wanted.

Not having time to think of another defense, Nori pushed herself back off her right leg and used her own fluid movements and flexible body to dodge each thrust or slashing of the sword as they each aimed to strike her. Luckily for Nori, she trained her body everyday since she got into the academy. She had known growing up that she would have to engage in battles with different opponents and although she was a girl, she didn't want to be seen as weak. Most people underestimated her, like Sigmund, but she was more capable of handling the pain, the hard work, and the battles that were going to come her way. When one of his swords came close to her, she jumped up into the air, tucking her arms in as she did an aerial and landed behind Sigmund. "Leaf Whirlwind!" she called out and did a full 360 degree kick that would strike the side of his neck and send him flying with the power that was behind it thanks to the wind.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 28 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense]

As his dance failed yet again, he was not surprised she attempted to go for his face. He wasn't sure what it was about his face she loved so much, but it was highly predictable. That's all she ever aimed for. Not this time. he thought to himself. He planted his feet nice an steady. He used the calcium in his bones to harden them more, making them way more durable than they were earlier. His bones were strong enough, however doing his, he was able to take her kick with no problem. His bones would cancel out her attack, taking all the impact. She was sure to hurt herself more than him. In return, he felt the bones tug from inside him. They fractured in the process, the bones he created. As he held up several of his bones to block of her kick, they took the impact.

It wasn't long before he twisted her ankle from his bones and shoved her away from him. It was seconds before he shed off the old bones. The bones that were fractured and not as durable anymore. He controlled his calcium from within, recreating new ones - newer and stronger ones to perform like he never have before. He followed up on this attack, using the body flicker technique to close the momentary gap he created between them. He began attempting his dance of the willow one more time. This surely would be the last time and the last of this match. "Dance of the Willow!" he said seriously. For a split second, just for a second, did his eyes turn completely green. The entire sciera of his eye turned green, matching his iris. It was one of the most scariest encounters a person could face coming head on.

Upon calculating where she should land her blow, the only place Nori felt was more vulnerable was anything above Sigmund's neck. Well, that and his feet. With all those bones peering out through his body, there was no way that she would have been able to strike him with a blow, which made her wonder if she should have approached her attack differently. When her foot came in to contact with his neck, she found that it had no effect on him. In fact, a course of pain shot through her leg and just as she was about to pull her leg away from him, he twisted her ankle and pushed her away from him. She rolled onto the ground and landed on her stomach. She placed her hands on the ground as she started to pant, causing her to turn her head and looked towards Sigmund as she saw him start to shed his bones away. "Dammit," she muttered under her breath before she slowly pushed herself up onto her feet. It was moments after she did so, that she saw her teammate disappear and reappear closer to her than before. She stared into those eyes that turned a shade of green and although he probably felt that she should be frightened, she wasn't. Nori attempted to dodge his attacks with those swords, but her leg injury was starting to get the best of her as she knew it would. She was starting to get slow on her feet and it showed when she started to take his blows one by one. She could feel the bones slashing her skin, cutting into her arms and legs and it was one of the most painful things she had ever experienced before.

When his last hit struck her, Nori rolled across the ground until she finally landed on her stomach. It was there that she lay, immobile and fragile. Both her arms and legs were torn to shreds. She could feel the blood leaving her body and as she attempted to push herself up from the ground, she couldn't. She was exhausted and felt weak. Was this going to be it for her? She turned her head and looked over in Sigmund's direction. She knew how much he really wanted this. How much he wanted to win. Before this fight, he told her to quit because he wouldn't show any mercy on her but she already knew that he wouldn't. And now...now he was telling her with his actions that she should quit. It took all the strength Nori could muster to push herself up from the ground without trembling. She slowly got back up to her, despite the people around her telling to stay down and call it quits. She turned her head up and looked up at the crowd, trying to find Nanami amongst them. When she caught her eye, she just stared at her for a moment before she felt the familiar broken arrow that was still in her boot. She turned her head down and looked at. Nori could feel her friend's strength well up inside her and she stared daggers at Sigmund.

Even if this was going to be her last move of this fight, even if it didn't prove to be effective towards her teammate, she was going to give it all she got. She took her stance, sliding one leg behind her and slightly bending the other in front of her. Her fists curled at her sides and let her chakra envelop her body. Within a flash, she kicked off her back heel and flash stepped towards Sigmund. "16 Hit Combo!" she yelled. If she managed to reach him, each of her fists would make contact with her teammate's face four times leading into a full circle kick, then a swift kick to the stomach that led to her fists making contact to her teammate's face four times, which led her to turning around swiftly and delivering a tornado roundhouse kick to his head, enabling her opposite foot to do a side kick to his stomach. Nori crouched down, planting her hands on the ground and delivering a high kick to his chest. Once she did that, she swiftly pushed herself up onto her feet, twirling around and bringing a clenched fist to land a blow to his stomach that would make him fly back and land on the ground. She had only practiced this move for a short time and only revealed it once when she practiced it with her sensei and it took all the strength she could muster to gain the momentum she needed to inflict her move, but if this was going to be her last move of this fight, she wanted to go all out.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 21 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense - Successful dodge.]

When he had pushed her away from him, he wanted to feel bad at this point. He gave her props though that she lasted as long as she did. Seeing her helpless on the ground, panting, staring at him as he shed his bones. He couldn't help but feel like he shouldn't have been so tough on her. On the other hand though, she deserved it. She's the one who didn't want to give up or hand over the fight. She's the one who wanted to see herself fail. Those feelings immediately vanished as he reappeared in front of her the moment she got up and performed his dance. She tried to dodge as best as she could but she couldn't. He was faster. He was putting his all into this. He used what last bit of strength he had to accurately hit her, shredding and slicing her skin. Whether or not Nanami was going to be disappointed was a whole new story.

Nori managed to manifest what strength she had left to rise up again. Many voices from the stands kept telling her to stay down. Others saying let the proctor intervene. Very few actually encouraged the poor girl to keep fighting. Nori had laid on her stomach for a moment, drenched in her own blood, looking weak and hurt. Then she made eye contact with him. This was it. This was the moment he was waiting for. This was her giving it her all, the rest of the strength she had left. Sigmund could tell she didn't have very much left in her. Neither did he either. Even though he didn't get hit, just performing his most powerful jutsus alone was exhausting. He was starting to feel himself go down hill from within very quickly. He hadn't realized it until now once the adrenaline within his body began to slow down.

She came towards him. He had only seen this technique once and it was from merely when she was first learning it. It was her magnificent combo. Getting caught up in that would be brutal. He allowed her to come at him. Once she made contact with the first punch, it was over. A puff of smoke surrounded her as a log could be heard falling to the ground. The wind picked up and blew the cloud quickly as all she could see was Sigmund coming right at her, with no bones exposed anymore. Just his fist making contact with her face, landing a single right-hook, enough to knock her down, perhaps sending her flying for just a couple of feet.

He could be seen panting at this point. Covered in dirt, smelt of fire smoke from earlier. Sweat dripped down his face as he panted for air. He could feel his body grow sore at this point. His kekkei genkai was exhausting on his teenage body. He was probably exhausted because he did not get to rest from his previous fight. He was already not at his best to begin with. From afar, he stared down at Nori. "Had enough?" he asked her, as his eyes went back to the normal blue, the red eyeshadow underling disappearing from his face. However the tips of his hair remained white for the time being. He was either waiting for her say something or waiting for her to try again.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

When Nori saw her last attack fail in a literal cloud of smoke, she cursed under her breath. She couldn't believe it. She couldn't land a single punch or kick against Sigmund through this whole fight. It upset her and made her feel disappointed in herself. It pissed her off and as much as she wanted to get up and fight again, she couldn't. Her body was drained and exhausted. It was battered and torn up. She wanted to give this her all and she felt that she did. She didn't feel ashamed going into this fight. Despite the fact that she didn't land any blows, she was proud of what she had done and would let no one else say otherwise. When she heard Sigmund speak to her, she stayed silent as she stayed knelt to the ground. "You're strong, Sigmund. I'll give you that, but I have to say out of all the attacks you dealt to me today, that was the first and only punch you inflicted on me. It's amusing for you especially since you are a taijutsu user," she said as she wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth when she was punched. "You've inspired me to grow even stronger, Sigmund, and I thank you for that. I guarantee you the next time we fight, I won't be in this condition and I'll be better and stronger than I was today. Until then..." She slowly stood up to her feet and slowly rose her hand in the air for the proctor to see, signaling she conceded the battle. "...you win. Give it your best in the next fight."

He merely laughed at her as she tried to mock him and even point out he was a certain type of person. "If I was a taijutsu user, I would have lost like you. However I am not. I specialize in my kekkei, not the fighting style you study under. Know the difference," he correctly harshly as he looked up at the proctor.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

Sima had watched the entire scene unfold. Two from the same village fighting for pride. No, he corrected himself. Rivals, fighting for pride of the village, of their squad, and for themselves. The entire battle was them going back and forth. They had zigged zag all across the stadium grounds, trying to hurt one another. The girl never managed to land a single hit and when she believed she did, the boy always used a substitution jutsu or a quick clone jutsu that the girl failed to see.

He could tell Nori lacked ninjutsu in the long run, but that didn't stop her from using it as a secondary plan. She relied on her raw power for taijutsu to attempt to neutralize her oppopent. Despite all her efforts, she essentially failed. The boy untouched, but clearly exhausted. Nori raised her hand as she was struck with one final blow to the face. She ultimately handed the win to him.

Sima nodded his head as he addressed the crowd. "The winner of the semi-final match is Akitoki Sigmund from Konoha!" The crowd cheered in excitement, clearly they wanted to see him move on and face the deadly and yet creepy Kotatsu.

He was the only opponent who stopped Sigmund from winning the title. Sima knew the poor boy probably didn't stand a chance in winning. All Kotatsu wanted was blood and death to come out of this, despite the peaceful land he represented.

"You better prepare yourself, kid, because you're in for one hell of a fight. I hope you don't die with the first blow," he cooed, keeping on eye on both the proctor and Nori who stood behind him.

Sima was surprised to see Kotatsu standing there before them. It was prepared to attack and those dark whisps that emitted off of the boy wasn't a good sign. With the threat of wanting to kill Sigmund was heard loud and clear, Sima had to step in. "The final match hasn't started yet. Wait your turn, genin. Know your place," he strictly said, placing a hand on Kotatsu's shoulder with a bit of a grip. This guy was bad news and there was no telling what this kid could do. "Sigmund needs rest. You'll fight him tomorrow," he added. He felt something. A disturbance in the air. Something was going to happen. Something bad.

Kotatsu redirected his attention to the proctor. "Nobody lays a hand on me!" he uttered before grabbing the proctor's hand with his own, a dark ball engulfing his own hand. Bones could be heard snapping and breaking as the proctor did not see this move coming. He had the proctor on his knees before Kotatsu sent him flying to the stadium walls with a dark blast. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" he declared as a hundred shadow clones appeared of Kotatsu. They took up most of the battle field and the stadium stands as well.

The crowd had panicked and began screaming once a dead body was discovered from the stands. The body was identified as the Land of Fire, a Jonin leader: Kenji Akuma, Sigmund, Nori, and Nanami's leader. He was killed in cold blood with multiple stab wounds to the neck from Kotatsu's clones. "Ladies and gentleman of Kumogakure, Kirigakure, Iwagakure, Konohagakure, and Tsukigakure. We, the land of Snow, will declare this our land and to start, take a look at your leaders!" he said pointing to all of the Kages, including the land of snow's own Daimyo.

They were surrounded by a mysterious man in a cloak. The entire audience was blocked from entering a black vortex that surrounded all of the kages. "We are a revolution who will rule this world, one land at a time! To start, please, enjoy the Daimyo of the land of snow as we be head him, the same fate as the rest of the Kages will face in the near future!"

Daimyo Minato had a look of panic, horror, and most of freight on his face. His hands were bind by some kind of black chakra, unbreakable from his hands. The black vortex that surrounded him and the other 5 kages could see nothing but pitch black. On the outside of the vortex though, was clear to the rest of the people of Kumogakure and everyone else in the stands. A mysterious man with a black hood held a perfectly sharp blade, made from the same black chakra that bind his hands behind his back. "Please don't! I have a family! I gave you my land. I gave you everything I had! Please don't kill me!" he had cried out in agony as he pleaded with the cloaked man.

He held the blade closer to the Daimyo's neck. He watched as the events grew. He watched every battle, chatted with every kage and his lower ranking officers. He had made a trip to all 5 lands prior to the Chunin Exams in Kumogakure. Every land and village was so welcoming. Nobody regulated their gates. They allowed anybody to enter their city. It was foolish of them really. His plan was perfect and now Kumogakure would become his. The Land of Snow had already been his for years now and nobody even knew the disaster that became of that tragic land. Everyone almost completely forgot about them after the incident with Naruto and his friends many, many years ago.

"The Land of Snow is ours. We ask all of you to bow down now, or one by one will each kage suffer the same consequences as dear 'ol Minato here," he announced as he drove the blade across Daimyo Minato's neck, cutting open his neck as blood gushed from his neck. Minato struggled, gasping for air, making gurgling noises. As the man pushed the daimyo down to the ground from within the vortex, a blast of darkness shot right up to the sky, directing to the sun.

The sun was then drowned in pitch black darkness. Even the sun was no directly of course hit, the planet's atmosphere was covered in the same darkness that he used and Kotatsu used. "I am searching for a certain individual. A person of interest and one by one will I capture, interrogate, and destroy every village until I find them. And we will start with you!" he pointed directly towards Sigmund, who was in no shape to even defend himself if it came down to it.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

Sigmund couldn't believe the events that unfolded in front of him. After his battle everything happened all too quickly. He had won his match fair and square and had planned to take him and Nori to the infirmary after her beatdown with him. He was exhausted. He knew his next opponent was going to none other than Kotatsu, the genin who only lived to kill apparently. Rumor had it he wasn't always like that though. He knew the story behind it, but share that information would be critical in this case.

Kotatsu had flown down practically in front of him, threatening to kill him already and was ready to fight Sigmund right here. Sigmund wasn't ready. He had already fought two matches before getting to this point. Before Sigmund could even say anything to guy, or rather man because that's exactly how Kotatsu looked, the proctor stepped in to take it easy and next thing he knew, the proctor was flung like a ragdoll to the walls of the stadium and was knocked out. Then a bunch of clones showed up, but not just any clones. Shadow clones. These were difficult to fight because they all shared Kotatsu's chakra levels and Kotatsu could be any one of them. The real him could be up in the stands for all he knew. They shouldn't be that hard, he believed anyways.

That's when the crowd screamed from afar, Sigmund could see something happened. The closer he looked, the more he recognized who was killed. Their sensei. Sigmund felt his stomach drop from within. his sensei had done nothing to deserve such a horrifying death. His chest felt heavy, but most of all he was angry. Angry at Kotatsu and angry at this mysterious goon up in the stands.

A Black vortex surrounded all the most important leader's from the great five shinobi lands and everyone on the outside could see everything that was going on inside that vortex. Words were exchanged and before he knew it, the land of snow lost their daimyo. Whether it was staged or the real deal, he couldn't tell because the last thing he heard was that they wanted him and nobody else. Kotatsu and his clones made direct contact with him after that.

Sigmund gritted his teeth. It was just him and Nori down here, both exhausted, in bad shape, and didn't have much strength to fight if it came down to it.

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

Nori was just about to open her mouth to respond to what Sigmund had said, but Sima took over. No one knew what she was capable of except for her. She just hadn't had the opportunity to show it completely. Next time she fought, she was going to be sure to show her full power. If she had been healed by Nanami when she was in mint condition and didn't have a certain weight pulling her down, she knew she would have stood evenly with Sigmund in that battle but for now, she was going to have to wait for her chance. Right now she just needed to heal and rest. After Sima had announced Sigmund as the winner, she was about to make her way out of the stadium when she heard a voice come from behind her. She turned her head and saw what looked like to be Sigmund's opponent. He was ready to fight, but she knew her teammate wasn't. He was worn out and exhausted. She could at least tell that much. As the proctor told him to back down, she saw his hand crushed and his body flung across the stadium against a wall. Nori's eyes widened slightly and after that, everything just happened so fast. Her eyes trailed across the stadium, seeing hundreds of shadow clones pop up out of nowhere. "What the hell?" she muttered before she heard a sudden scream come up from within the stands. When the people cleared away, her eyes were able to focus on the body that was covered in blood. "No...it can't be..." At seeing that the lifeless body was none other than their sensei, her eyes began to tremble and she took a step back. Why? Why him? Pictures of their sensei and their group began to flash through her mind and it caused her to shut her eyes tightly after tears had welled up within them. "NO!" she screamed aloud.

This couldn't be happening. It couldn't. Why was it happening? Nori opened her eyes once more upon hearing Kotatsu's voice once more before she turned back to look at him with piercing daggers in her eyes. Why did this have to happen when she couldn't defend their beloved sensei's honor? Oh he was going to pay and he was going to pay good. She curled her fists at her sides, hearing the screaming from the stands again as people tried to escape but to no avail. A black vortex had surrounded the Kage's and kept them imprisoned. These people...these people from the land of snow, they had to have planned this. To get all the most powerful people in the world together and execute them one by one in front of everyone just to create intimidation and make themselves known. They had to kill people to do that and that made her all the more angry. She was devastated over the demise of their sensei and knew they had to do right by him. They had to protect their Kage, and every Kage, at all costs. No one else would die. Not in front of her. When she heard Kotatsu speak up once more, she turned her attention back towards him and saw him pointing at Sigmund. "No..." she said in a low voice before she stepped over quickly in front of her teammate in a protective manner. "No. You can't take him. I won't let you. Hurt me instead."

Semi-Final Match: Akitoki VS Yamada

Sigmund could only swallow down the events unfold. He had become a high priority target by these goons. He could only smirk at the thought. He had become to strong that somebody wanted him. They wanted his power and wanted him in general. The idea was actually tempting. He also was eager to face Kotatsu once and for all. All his thoughts were interrupted when Nori stepped in front of him, defending him. Typical girl. he thought about her.

Sigmund stepped around her, glaring at her. "I don't need your protection. I can handle myself. Worry about your own self for once," he uttered to her then stared back at Kotatsu. He smirked at him, determination in his own eyes. Nori was willing to sacrifice herself over some school girl crush, but this was bigger than that and that was something he could not risk. She was in no shape to ever fight anyways. They just witnessed their sensei dying and he was glad she had this pride to protect her village and seek out revenge, however she couldn't execute that even if she wanted to.

"So I'm your target? Why am I not surprised," he directed his words towards Kotatsu. "Well, as much as the offer sounds good, I'm going to have to decline. That man you killed up there, was an important man who had a family and as the squad leader of his group, I'm not going down without a fight," he threatened. "Prepare yourself," he taunted. His body was exhausted and so was his mind. His chakra was close to empty, but he was going to have to give it his all. He was almost as a dead weight as Nori was. She was practically useless. She wouldn't be able to fight at all.
