Ceramic armor is made from high density, light ceramic (stone) plates fitted to a glass fiberweave shirt. The fiberweave is as strong as chain-mail and more resistant to piercing. Since the ceramic plates are not linked to each other, but the cloth-like fiberweave, it allows for much more flexibility than the standard metallic half-plate.

The crystal class weapons seem frail, but are forged using geomancy and are actually tougher than metallic swords [+20% durability/hp]. Crystalline objects also hold enchantments better giving them a -10% chance of failure to enchant for each successive enchantment placed on them. Because of their structure, all crystalline weapons function as non-magical +1 weapons compared to their metallic counterparts.
