Zenobia nods at Genovia's words but her expression is rather more ambiguous.

"Can you tie this to the rope when we drop it down?  See you in a bit."

walks up to the wall following Jarsichok and takes a moment in silent meditation, preparing herself, then she starts the climb

The climb is longer and more precarious than it originally looked.  Jarsichok is soon far ahead.

Genovia and Jarsichok disappear from sight.  Genovia seems to have no problem at all scaling the steep wall.  Soon a thick, gooey looking rope descends from the darkness above.  Bedawry indicates that Zenobia should go first, followed by Tyler.

 Looking to the cliff face as far as he could see before stepping back and waving a hand towards the rope to Zenobia, Umm, after you.

Zenobia's mouth opens, she is momentarily speechless. She turns to Bedawry.

"Ah I think we might need some strength at the top in case others of us can't make the climb. I'm not sure I can. Most I've ever climbed were apple trees and hills."

Bedawry grins.  "How about I carry you then?  I can take us both up."  He adjusts the rather large web-sack on his back and indicates the location the bard should climb on.

"Most kind, thank you.  So how do we do this?" Zenobia asks.

Bedawry swings Zenobia up onto his back, opposite the sack, as if she were a small child riding on her father's back.  He then begins to climb.  The rope does not stick to his hands as it appeared it might.

Halfway up, there is a skittering sound on the walls to either side of the Anthros.  Out of the darkness 6 different Echtinik, lightly armed, appear.  They immediately thrust out at Bedawry who twists and dodges as best he can, but one of the spears manages to get him pretty good.  Bedawry growls in pain.

"I cannot hold you and fight them, little one," he says to Zenobia.  "Genovia, I need you to come help Zenobia climb!  Tyler, Denala is there anyway you can climb up here and help me?"  His tactical command is swift and sure, but after his first few words, he falls silent, attempting to dodge the Echtinik spears.

 Hearing the sound of battle above them he tried to see something of value to shot at until he growls and begins to attempt the climb upwards.

She climbs up Bedawry and loops her legs around the rope just off his shoulders. Holding on for dear life with one arm and both legs coiled around the rope, she casts cure light wounds on Bedawry and draws her sword.

Genovia looks anxiously down the cliff face and begins the climb down using the wall and not the rope not wanting to add more movement to it than necessary.

"Jar, can you see if you can find a way to help out with distraction while I try to help Zenobia up?"

she moves as fast as she can down the cliff face making her way to Zenobia.

Genovia is able to make her way down just above Bedawry.  The Anthros, with one arm, tosses Zenobia further up the rope.  Immediately the Echtinik attempt to attack her and knock her off, but Genovia grabs hold of her while the Anthros bats the bugs away.

Unfortunately, Zenobia's weight is too much for Genovia and the rogue looses her grip on the wall and begins to topple...


...only to find that her feet remain attached to the wall.  Zenobia hangs by her hands but Genovia finds that she can easily hold her up.

Another of the Echtinik approaches to attack, out of Bedawry's reach, but in a flash, Jarsichok is there.  Clicking and hissing in the Echtinik language, he lunges towards the attacking bug.  As soon as he touches the attacker's body, it flies apart in chunks.

Tyler, quick on his feet, arrives below Bedawry, able to help.

Denala, at the bottom of the rope, draws her old bow back and fires a shot.  The arrow finds a crease in the bug's armor and the angry attacker skitters back into the dark.

grimacing from the awkward position holding Zenobia, she tries to get Zenobia closer to the wall

"Try to get a handhold until I can get reposition Zenobia"

 Looking at the feet of Bedawry he can see the bugs trying to knock them off the lines. I can either take Zenobia or fight which ever you need Bedawry

 He holds tight to the line and kicks at any that venture close enough to bother him.

Zenobia wraps a leg around and around the rope she's on, and holds on with both hands.

Tyler is able to get a good swing in on one of the bugs, dislodging it from the wall.  It goes sailing off into the blackness.

One of the bugs viciously attacks Jarsichok, attempting to drive him back.
Another of them attacks Genovia, who doubles backward at the knee up against thew all.  The move saves her from being skewered but the spear gouges a deep furrow in her arm below where her new armor protects.
The other two remaining Echtinik take shots at Bedawry, but free of the constraints of holding Zenobia, he twists easily out of their reach.  The cavern wall is a poor substitute for trees, but nonetheless, the Anthros can climb!  Bedawry returns with a swipe that crumples the exoskeleton of one of his attackers.

Denala launches another arrow from her trusted bow finishing the wounded Echtinik damaged so badly by Bedawry.

yelps as she is sliced but draws her bow and targets the one that attacked her and lets loose a shot

Zenobia her limbs entangled in the rope, save for her sword arm, hangs in the air. She swipes at anything that comes close.

Zenobia rolls an 18 including subtractions and then 6 points of damage.

Tyler delays looking for a target close enough to hit.
Bedawry is injured by a lunge from his remaining attacker.
Genovia, wounded, swings wide, however, Zenobia manages a good solid hit after settling down on the rope some.  Bedawry swings wildly and misses, and Jarsichok is nowhere to be seen, though neither is his attacker.

Denala hesitates not having a clear shot.

Zenobia continues holding on for dear life with everything except her sword arm. Legs curled around the rope, feet hooking onto each other, left hand above her head. In her right hand her longsword is poised waiting for another thrust.

Today: Zenobia rolled 5 using 1d8.   Zenobia Damage d8-1.

 With the rope loped around his hand he makes an unbalanced swing at one of the bugs.

Tyler's swing is a near miss but enough to distract Genovia's attacker.
Bedawry takes another small wound from the Echtinik warrior.
The other Echtinik, which was attacking Genovia, is too distracted by Tyler to make a good hit.
Finally the Anthros finishes off his aggressor who falls to the ground far below.
Zenobia gets in a good hit against the final Echtinik and Denala finishes it off with a well placed arrow.
Genovia does her best to defend herself until she is sure that all attackers are gone.
Jarsichok climbs back down the wall bearing some nasty wounds, but otherwise alive.

Zenobia looks up at Jarsichok. "I take it they're not part of the hive." she says, looking more relieved than angry. She shakes off her sword blade, well away from their rope. Dark blood drips from the tip.

"I can heal the injured to some degree, but I'll need flat ground and safety for that."

 More surprised that he was still hanging from the ropes then that the fight was really over. With that revelation he begins the hard work of finishing the climb since he was already this high up the cliff face.

 Hopefully i can offer some aid also to those wounded.
With a questioning look at Jarsichok he wondered if healing would be provided to such a differant race.
