Re: 'RAPIER' - Deck
Jon had considered Jakob's words as his friend went to check the hold and stores. Rousing himself from his brooding the captain made his way to the deck critically checking the rigging and the men. Stopping for a word to each, the true success of Jonathan's career was his care for his men, he was hard and disciplined but he also rewarded their hard work and could be seen at the ropes with any of them when need came. It was their respect that made him successful.

"Steady with the lead lines boys, once we clear the harbor the wind will come full. Keep her course straight Ned, we don't want to find a fisherman the hard way." The instructions were hardly necessary as the crew knew their work and had put themselves to it with a good will.

Re: 'RAPIER' - Deck
As they cleared the bay he called out, "ALL HANDS ON DECK!" He wanted to brief the men now that they were on the sea he felt...free. Removing his coat to dress in just his shirt and trousers. Bare feet leaned with the sway of the ship as he waited for the crew to show looking for Jakob to come up from the hull of the ship.

Re: 'RAPIER' - Deck
Jakob came to the deck with a little boy in tow or was it.  He pulled Elizbete up into his arms and stood in front of his best friend Jon.  Jon was looking fit and better now he was at sea but he had a dour looking face.  "Captain Beaupre' I have our new cook with me.  She is a 'friend' of mine from the party you threw.  I am stating now that no crew member shall touch her or make any remarks to her for she is under my protection and shall be staying in my quarters.  There.... I am done Jon." he stood there ready for all hell to break loose.  The men were already eyeing Elizabete and grumbling about her being a woman on board as bad luck and others would want to take her to the deck right now.
