The wyrmpriest looks furious as his pet dies. He glares at Gnara, the only enemy visible to him, and fires an energy orb at her! ....and it goes right through her, making her giggle. "That tickles..."

The things he says in draconic are things even Rhagar's tactlessness find rather tactless. And vulgar.

Nathan flies up to the ledge and glows with angelic radiance.

"Surrender!"

The two dragonshields begin quaking in their boots.  He then javelins the mage.

Hazel heads out of the room and slams the priest with his spiked chain!

Gnara tries to lasso him again and misses, but barely. Looks like the wyrmpriest knew it was coming this time.

The wyrmpriest screams at the top of his lungs, "YOU KILLED WING-DING! I KILL YOOOOOU!!!!"

  Rhagar does not find this revelation worth even an eyeroll, as he pops up at another section of ledge from out of sight and shuts up the Priest's yelling with a rock to the skull.

  Though as a change of pace, this one merely knocks Rhagar's target out.  Priest likely knows the most out of anyone here after all, can always stab their brain later.

  "I have been out of sight for a good portion of this scuffle.  Have the armored kobolds even done anything yet?"

The fear tactic worked! ....the dragonshields flee!

Hazel says, "That went... better than expected."

Gnara giggles. "Interrogation! We get an interrogation!"

"All this killing and STILL no crystal.  I'm beginning to believe we're in the wrong place."

If not for the dead give-away of the secret exit that the two fleeing kobolds just used.

  "We have no particular rush, so if desired we can likely wait out the remaining enemies instead of going to them." Silly Rhagar, the Boss doesn't spawn until you pass the trigger point!

Gnara giggles and points at the exit stage left. "They fled that way instead of the way we came... and I don't know about the rest of you, but I have not seen a treasure room or even a stockpile room... these are kobolds who have been looting..."

Hazel shrugs and goes to tie up and heal the one who surrendered, then tie up and wake up the wyrmpriest.

When interrogated, the wyrmpriest still has wild eyes of hatred and curses the adventurers vehemently, spitting on them. Nothing sways him. A high intimidate roll, while it would cause the priest to quiet down and freeze up in fear a bit, will still yield no useful answers.

So Nathan just knocks him out again and interrogates the other guy.

"Everything we can expect in the next room."

  "One would hope they had such storage, otherwise we have been working our way through them for nothing." Oh, sooooory dead Kobolds, we thought there was a plot gem here, our bad.

The kobold decides to give the team the answer they have been hinting SO strongly that they WANT to hear, "Yes! Treasure in other room! Two dragonshields who ran from you will be there. Big puddle of ice! But you no go there! Our god Szartharrax in there. He destroy you and eat you!"

Hazel says, "....I've never heard of Szartharrax and I'm pretty sure I know the names of all the gods in every language and culture."

Gnara giggles. "Probably means a dragon... kobolds worship dragons. And eat littler people like us! Heehee..."

"Ice dragon no doubt.  How big is Szartharrax?  Is she this tall at the shoulders?"

Nathan measures up to his waist level.

"Or bigger?"

  Rhagar suspects it will be roughly horse sized, and ironically more dangerous than a 5th ed baby's first dragon in design, even accounting for wussy 5th ed PC statistics.

  "What exactly, does Szartharrax provide for you? What do you get out of worshiping them"

To Nathan, the kobold says, "Szartharrax HUGE! His shoulders taller than you! Also, Szartharrax not female. He is male."

Hazel glances at Nathaniel and Rhagar. "So much for the idea of wooing the dragon with your good looks, eh guys?"

Gnara laughs. "Who knows? Maybe he's a gay dragon!"

Hazel pauses and looks worried at that comment.

The kobold answers Rhagar, "Same as any god. Answers to prayer. Food, shelter, power. Prosperity. Difference is, our god real. Can be seen and talked to. You silly people talk to air and think someone listening."

Hazel rolls his eyes and says, "I saw the statue of Tiamat in the other room. I know you worship one of the "invisible" gods."

The kobold answers, "Not me. I worship Szartharrax only."

Hazel shrugs. "I stand corrected."

Nathan sighs.

"Gnara.  Think you're sneaky enough to elude a huge dragon's senses long enough to get a look at what we're up against?  I'm not keen on suiciding...

"Kobold.  If it's so big, how did it get in there?  There another exit?"

  "If it is as big as he says, then it could slowly make it's way through the more narrow hallways.  As for seducing our target, I doubt I am up to it's standards either way."

  Rhagar can see some of the appeal for a more mundane form of worship with benefits.  Not everybody is granted divine laser beams for their trouble.

The kobold answers, "Hole in ceiling lead to exit."

"So much for trapping it here while we get reinforcements."

He waits for Gnara's answer.

Gnara returns having sneaked so well Nathan didn't notice she had snuck off that quick. "Heeheehee... size of a horse with wings! Lurking in the shadows."

  "About as expected, then.  I would suggest making demands first, but it would certainly ignore us.  It may be slightly more open to such things after wounding it severely, but I suspect it would be too stubborn even then.  Best get this over with as quickly as possible"

"Any of you experts on dragons?  How likely are we to distract it long enough to get away with the crystal?"

Hazel says, "If you don't mind the others in the team dying while you get away with the crystal, it's doable. Remote chance, but doable."

Gnara giggles. "Don't forget we can all teleport to the original crystal. So the only real challenge is getting to the crystal. However, we would have to know where it is and I didn't locate it..."

  "No expertise on dragons is needed, the crystals are so large it is not possible to retrieve it in a timely manner."  Nevermind the crystals are large and the hallway is medium.  GM already gave a ceiling opening plothole fix.

  "A good concept at least, if our target were appropriately sized."

Nathan takes a swig of his canteen.

"Welp.  Let's go home.  I did say I'm not keen on suicide."

He hefts up the wizard kobold over his shoulder.

"I'll take this one and one other."

He starts moving toward the hall the group entered by.

Hazel raises a finger, thinks about it, and nods. "We'll report about the dragon."

Gnara giggles and follows her new pack. <3
