Re: Chapter 2, Phase 3 - Isles of Nevermoor
The Captain smiles as Jadira makes her exit, then turns towards the others on board, sweeping his glance around the ship. "Allright, enough staring and giggling like schoolgirls, you've all got work to do!" He utters in mock indignation. "I want a full damage report ready in the coming minutes, and I want it submitted to Mister Kareth. He's going to tell you what needs to be done in terms of repairs or maintenance, so you listen to everything he says. Get on it!"
He then turns towards the engineer, and salutes him loosely. "You've done great work out there, friend. I really appreciate it. Assessing the ship's position is the last duty I'd ask of you for now - when you've directed the men to what needs to be done, go and have some rest. Better have that wound checked too, just in case." He smiles warmly, then begins to busy himself with the post-battle grind work - unpleasant work, but it has to be done.
The shots fired belatedly cause Lasuri to get closer to the railing suddenly, watching the Lintha warily before taking a step back. "Hold your fire!" He shouts, to make certain no one would be led to believe they should resume the attack. Not that he believes that Jadira's men would open fire without orders from the armswoman, but better not take chances.
"Mister Tageru... no shots should be fired after the cease-fire has been ordered. The hostilities have been called off, and there's more than enough bad blood without accenting it again." He says, his voice definitely more grim than before. "The Lintha might have tried to retaliate with a few shots... I've no qualms that would have done nothing to you. You can take care of yourself just fine, and you've proven that it takes more than that to shake you off. But there's other people on this ship, and right now they're not in battle stations, which means they could have been caught in the retaliation fire. That action might seem harmless on the moment, but it might have resulted in injuries of deaths on our side, and that's not something I want."
"It's not in my habit to dictate the conduct of those who don't want to be led, but I will speak up if something is done that might threaten the safety of those under my command. I don't ask much out of you, but I would like these rules respected while you're aboard this ship." He pauses, then nods, his expression softening slightly. "Otherwise... Thank you for the assistance in the fight. That's very much appreciated."
Not wishing to dwell on the matter, and leaving Tageru to his meditation for now. "Allright men, let's get this work done so you all can get some rest! The faster we get this done, the faster you get to wind down!"
