Re: Razorhawk Village, home of The Arrows

Two horse  rode Into the   Village,, One had  a Back Timber  Scout, the other  HAnd a Human, his leathers  and Helmet , marked him as  a Trooper  From Tou.  He  wheeled his   horse in a  circle, looked    angry as he said, whre is the  One Called Quickshadow!

Krell Looked a bit amused,  Kree turned  back  and   ehaded  for the square...The   Black Timber Scout said,..For Give me ,  Hight WArden... he  and a  squadrons of riders  , Numbering  2 score  and 5..stopped at the entrance, this o9ne was permitted to  come inmY the warden in Charge..

The HUman Loked at Krell..the  looked at the approaching Kree.... A scout  sent  world that  Mok was in flames... There  are rumors of the drums of war.....The scout  said  Quickshadow was the cause?

Krell frowned,..mY son has  returned  from Mok..there  was a bit of  a fire..indeed... He can tell you more...

shifting the weight of the  accounting to  Kree, The   Scout looked at  the Arrow harshly.

..So, Tell me friend.. is it that the  cause of  your  riding is  to Lend Us aid?

..so?  you are saying the    Flames  were   because of you..

..Aye?   we freed  some slaves... Killed  some  slavers... a fire happened to break  out in the merchant Lord's  Quarter/.. and  The Demon of The LAther  River   has  burned to the water line...

..I am to escort you and your  people to Ironmound... The Empire   wished to ...Discuss  the matter with you...

The   Black Timber  Scout   laughs,..the  9 hells you will... you don't have  enough troopers  to even pretend to force us to give  him up...

Krell said evenly,,,he  and his people will go.. willingly, or in chains..

.. you are half  right, FAther... we wil go... but in our  own time.... I must first  finish the  Mission  I have set out upon.  And?   No Tou scum will ever  put me or mine in chains.

The Scout  nods  to Kree, he has a HAnd on his Blade. ..get this  fellow a  drink and some  food on me.. then take him back to his  people so they might go home  and sent   word  to the Emperor  that I will see him after  our  Mission is done.

 ..You would defy your  Emperor...

 or  your  Elder?

..I am a  Crimson Arrow.. I sever  my brothers   and sister  first... Them The Timber and her  Allies of Trace and the High Peaks... then?  the Empire...

..I should  Cut you  down as a Traitor to the Empire...

Kree laughed, the Scout  Laughed.. Krell did not....You could not  take me on my worst day...  it is nice  that you are so willing to come all that way  from Tou, when you think you might deliver  bad news.. yet.. your people are too frightened  to  drive wagons to trade..  Trust me.. this  will be remembered  in the near future...

The trooper  growled,..I  don't need your   food..., he Nods to the scout, who grins at Shadow.. and they Ride off... Krell glared  at Kree.

..I will be  quite Honest, FAther... even if  we had  nothign to do?.. I would  not allow Tou scum to take  us  across the damn river...

do you have   any   thought, of  what you may have done?

Kree took a Mug from an Elf maid that  came over to him with it..cold   and fresh...when i was   young.. I ha d the tip of a Quill, stuck in my ankle.... it festered a bit.. it  hurt  to walk and run, still ..i trained, i fought.. i did my chores.. Mother  said.. 'its   time  we  removed that.. You might  function well  enough.. but  it needs to be removed'

..she put  a Mithril  blade in a brazier ...when it  began to  glow, she  poured  Saint's weed juice on the  wound, and  touched it  with the Blade.. The PAin  was intense , but short... the  Quill tip was  drawn out   and   the wounded  dropped..the healers fixed it.. but  my leg  has never  been stronger... there is no  reson to let position fester, when you can cut it out..

Easy enough to say? But  many  people  will die   if  a war  witht eh people of the Sands    erupts, and that will give HArgen   the opening to   come   over the Mountains ..have you thought of all those lives?

..cannot  say that I have, FAther... i was too busy saving lives  i could  see with my own eyes...and  end lives  i could with  my own bow..

After the archery practice Myanda headed to the square. Most of the group were still outside the Inn chatting, as two riders head away from the gathering. Moving to join the Arrows The Sisters blessings be upon you this day she greeted all. Moving to stand near Khorvar, Krwyn and Niphra What's happening? she quietly asks chinning towards Krell and Kree then glancing in the direction of the departing riders.

Khorvar listened to exchange and kept his hands on his axes. He tried to make eye contact with Kree and made a motion towards the scout and then touched his throat making a small cut. He waited to see if he wanted him to follow and deal with him.

Myranda rested a calming hand on Khorvar's muscular shoulder. Nay Master Stonemason that would be imprudent. For those who were sure to be waiting his return would carry word of his failure to return to them to their Masters who would use this as ammunition to further their cause

Myranda scowled at the fellows response to her council. Be that way then she thought to herself as she watched the departing fellow, then took a seat at the table. She judged the Dwarf wouldn't find working with the arrows pleasant, especially for such a broody type.

Ivy  smiles  , with a doleful shake of his head,..You have to admire  that   Troopers    courage,  they  probably drew  straws  to  see who would  come in  to The Timber .. Tou is  always ready to do the  Empire's  Bidding, if that   bidding, in some way ...hurts   The Timber.

..I should ride  out there  Myself  and  tell them to Bugger off...But we leave at first light.. and I have been too long away from home... Kray  turns  to  any Arrows  who are near him..

.. Have you all  heard that?... We  leave  at First Light   for the  area where  ..The Black Timber.. merchants landing  will be..Then  we  will  take a ship  to the  ferry across from Mok.. so  we may  head towards  the Trace  Wood  and finish this task....

Niphre stood next to Kree when the Black Timber scout rode in. She listened to what he had to say, and then Stardancer came over to them, asking what was going on. Niphre simp!y replied, "I think we're to leave and go to where the Black Timber merchants are."

Then she moved away, and continued to walk around the village, which she found rather rustic.

The  Night  was  Pleasant , there  wasn't  the  fuss  that was, the Night  before. Bard s still worked  the  Village  square  as peopel hung out  at the tables, others  were in one of the  three    Inns in the Village.

Kree and   Ivy   replenished thier Black arrows  with    crimson Fletchings. Food   and water  wouldn't be  an issue as The Timber  would   provide   for  thier  Day trip.

Horse   were  brought  for those who  wished them, Ivy  and Kree waved them off.. They  wanted to   walk the ground of  The Timber  again.

When all was  ready, They left   at first   light, after  a  small  breaking of fast..  4 wagons  ..20   some   workers  and   4 Wardens  from  Timberhome  were Just a bit  ahead of them, as they   headed   south east towards  the  area, where  'Merchants Landing'  would be.

Justin nudged this horse forward, moving the reigns lightly to get it to walk on the left of the lead waggon; this allowed him to chat with the Villagers who were driving it through the forest. Following the Wardens, Justin asked about the teamsters.

While Diana enjoyed her time in the village, which she always did, she was glad when it was time to go.

She chose to ride a horses, which she brushed down, before saddling.  She stocked up on arrows, and rations, and even took and extra wineskin with water.

Lucy had very much enjoyed her stay.  Being "Kitty Lady" was more fun this time around.

She found she enjoyed her stay much more then the first time around, perhaps it was her elf heritage coming out.

When it was time to go, however she couldn't say she was sad to go.  When it was time, it was time.

She took the offer of a horse, taking care to talk to it before getting ready to ride. She let the horse get her scent, letting it know she was a "friendly cat."

With the assistance of the smith, Jason repaired his horse’s broken shoe and checked the others. He took special interest in everything the smith pointed out so he could do the job himself next time. The horse wasn’t actually his, but they had been partners long enough that it seemed Leonidas expected to be properly taken care of. So Jason bought a hammer and spare shoes from the smith.

He is ready.

After purchasing her bags and bladders.  she turned to Orlin "Perhaps we should join them...if only to keep them from trouble" she smiled at Orlin.  It would be noting to gather the rest of her things since most she wore and being part horse would easily catch up, even if they were at a hard gallop.  She would load her water and oil as well.

"Of course."  Orlin kept his gear in his magical pouch.  He was a born wanderer even for his people and had done little more than work on the cave and flowerbed near the druids while he was here.  It was good to have a place to come home to.   But he couldn't maintain it while away so it needed to be empty of personal items.

He helped her prepare and jogged off with her.  His long legs creating a ground eating gate that was a comfortable trot for her but much faster than a humans hiking speed and still a fair amount faster than a normal horses walk.
