Re:  Shattered Blade Inn Razorhawk Village

when the food  arrived, Kree motioned for the others to dig in, he fussed with a wine bottle  while he  waited  for the others to get thier food, and drank down one  Glass of the elven gold, in a gulp, then poured another, and sipped it as he helped himself, he motioned  for another Pot of stew  and  a few more loaves of the bread, the  servers Brought  some freshly churded  Butter out  as well.

Frist off, Good Duran. The Crimson Arrows are not just  a band of seel sowrds, ot  tunnel crawlers. We  do that, of  course, but our  main payh, is to eliminate  as many folksm who follow the darkness, as we can..Slavers and Bandits, and the damnable Red Isle  Halflings get speical attention, should be catch one. And  should be  find a Red Elf...well....Many a folk in the Village  would be glad, its  been a long time since a  Red Elf  has been..er...handled...in public...

We  are not here, to save the souls of those who walk the darkness...we  are here to send thier  soul  to thier  gods..and the more savage the means, the better. he points, not  only top the table, but  to the Inn, then out the door.These...are savage lands. And Evil does not  fear the good...it uses good's weaknesses against them...we..The Arrows..and   perhaps  another olld Company or two..treat the foes  as they treat the innocent...should are travels  take  us to a slaver camp?  we would burn  and Pillage the camp, as they have  our Village, and  the farmsteads of these lands....in short...we are the fire, that fights the fire...and thus?  we are feared  by those we hunt, and ...perhaps...even by some of  our allies...but  that is unimportant to us, as long as we keep whittling down the foes....

He takes  a bite  of stew and  dips  some  bread in the  gravel and  nibbles that down, then Looks at Duran, So?  Tell me Duran....Could  you be one of us?

Re:  Shattered Blade Inn Razorhawk Village

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg #10):

When Kree had finished speaking Duran took another long draw from his ale. The warrior paused and looked around the table before returning his gaze to Kree's.
"It has been my experience that the world is more shades of gray. Light and dark exist it is true, but most people operate somewhere in the middle."

He paused to take another drink before continuing. "Bandits and slavers deserve what end they meet for the suffering they inflict on their victims. When they chose their profession they knew what they risked."

"Having never met or seen a Red Isle halfling or a Red Elf, I can not say for sure that they all walk the path of darkness. I would have swore it were true of our blueskined fellows over there." he said pointing at a passing goblin. "But apparently my belief was miss-informed hear-say."

"Yes friend Kree, I could ride with your company. But I kill a man or beast for my own reasons. And if I kill them it will be as swiftly and as efficiently as possible."

Rolf pays little attention to the yammering about good and evil and all.  For his money, he liked them and us, keep it nice and simple.

"Don't forget the catfolk.  I'll let a dozen Red Elves or Red Isle Halflings pass to get a crack at putting down the feral bastards."

Re:  Shattered Blade Inn Razorhawk Village

Kree listened to Duran and nodded, He reached inside his Tunic   and  withdrew a small metal pox, Opeing it, there were a number of  Rudy Arrows,Not all alike, but  it was plain that each and everyone, was  a Crimson arrow. Taking one  out, he tucked the box  back inside his tunic and slide the arrow  towards Duran. Then take  this pin, put it where it is easy to see. I will add your name to the charter, once  we are done here. Pay is 10 Gold per month, Plus what you make on bounties  and other jobs...The Company gets  a percanage too, to keep the group solid...

He looks over to the Blueskinned goblins  and chuckles, The Blueskinned  Goblins Hail from the  Highpeak Mountains..they are the swore enemies of  the Blackskinned goblins, who are allied to the Dark Dwarves and the  vairous Mountain creatures  we fight....truth be told...40 years  or so ago, we would have been hunting them as well..but treaties  are treaties..so they are now allies..

The Red Isle  Halflings are the ones who promote the slave trade, both as pirates and buyers of flesh...they have entered into  an alliance with the  Red Elves, who seek to take the  whole of the land of Laynak, and Thus far, only  Ironmound  and her alllies  have stood between them and thier goal..  Ivy added to Duran, for information.

Duran took the arrow and attached it to the front of his cloak near the collar on his right side. "Looks like you have another arm in your fight." he said with a grin.

When Justin made his toast Duran raised his tankard. "I'll take a drink to honor your God my new friend, though when I pray it is to Trall." Duran smiled. "Afterall the gods are a fickle lot, and I can't think of a reason I would want to offend the God of luck."

The  server Girl  smiles  and moves off  to the kitchen, as  the newer folks  look around the Inn, those who were in the Walk The Plank, note this place has Items  taken from fallen foes , hanging on the walls. One Board has  many differant , patches, pins, Lockets, armbands, feathers..anything  other companies use to show who they are.

There are some heads of creatures on the walls as well as weapons and bits of armor.

Durzak notices the wall taking in the board with all of the items that mark the different companies, also the walls with the heads, weapons and bits of armor. He looks to Kree and ask;

How many companies beside the Arrows come to Razorhawk Village and how they fill about us if you know what I mean are we on friendly terms with them.

Re:  Shattered Blade Inn Razorhawk Village

Kree sshakes his head  as he swallows  a bite, then reaches  for his glass of  wine,There are as many companies, as there ar fools who band together to make one. Companies the size of  The Arrows are small in number, and for the most part, Most Companies are at ease with one another, save  for the companies that are head quatered in Olant, or  across the Moutains in the accursed city of Harte...the  insignas on this wall are those  Arrows  have baattled in the past...some were just mere groups of adveenture folk, who were on the wrong  side of a baattle... The Black Moon... he points to an armband on the board that is white  with a Black circle on it, They have  headquarters in Ironmound  as well..and they are near, as large as us..we fight them on sight...it is believed they are fed coin from Harte, but there is no proof as of yet....as a rule, if anyone  comes to blades with a Black Moon team? The guards normally look the other way...

Duran ate and drank his ale listening to the conversation. As he looked at the trophies and trinkets he tried to memorize them for future reference. He also looked to see if he saw the sign of the Royal Griffin amoung those articles.

"So Kree, I heard you and the other Arrows speaking about the Catfolk earlier." he said pausing briefly to shove a mouthful of bread and cheese in his mouth. "What do we know about these people? What kind of resistance can we expect, numbers, organization? Anything known of their lair?"

The  elf Looks at Ivy, then to the others, It deoends on the breed. LionFolk are more..haughty, then most..Tigerfolk, more  warlike..Jaguarfolk savage..Lynx work both ends..we have informants that are Lynx...and  there is a good bet, that some of them, report to whatever  Clan of Catfolk hired them...Jaguar Hunt, Tigers will try to face you in combat..Lionfolk will lead what gathered  furballs they have pulled uinder thier banners...Lionfolk, also seem to be the  only breed that can handle magic, and even then..its just the females. That is one of the reasons  they experiment in breeding with other races, hoping to create a breed that can gain the full use  of magic.

Rolf eats well and enjoys the ale, but doesn't indulge overly much in either.

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg #26):

Duran listened to the breakdown given by Kree, and he found himself wondering why the Crimson Arrows were so interested in erradicating the cat-folk in the first place. He was sure someone would eventually come to that point but at the moment he let that question go unsaid.

"So we know a little bit about their species in general." the warrior said looking Kree's direction. "My question was more one of tactics. Surely you do not intend to go head long into a hunt without having any intel on their unit strength, numbers total, and their defensive capabilities?"

Then Duran looked to the others, "They may need a blade to the gut Rolf, but even goblins and orcs in suffuicent numbers and with rudimentary planning can ambush and kill a full company of trained soldiers if they are being careless."

"And no offense to Eta, Justin, but i'm not one for leaving things to chance if I can help it."

Ivy puts  a hand  on Kree's shoulder as he answers Duran,..when we hunt...bandits..Cta folk..orcs..whatever the prey...we hunt them like animals...when we find a trail, it  will lead us to thjier  camp, or perhaps a small  lair of  sorts...then..we attack...The Catfolk are smart..aye..this is true. In fact. most of the prey we hunt are smart..The Red Elves amoung the smartest. But planning too soon, of things that may not  happen, can lead to yuou making  moves you may not  , otherwise do. Thus far? Our  losses have been light..save  for the pair of mages that were with us , when we were attacked  by the Gremblins.. One of the serpants got one...and we have no clue  what happened to the other..I can only assume, the gremblins that survived..got him.
