Re: Furman's Chain.

The woman  made her  way down the Furman's Chain. she had seen the Slaver caravan move ahead of her. From what she understood, if she  could make it to Trader's Rest, she ,might be able to find someone to help her reach Ironmound.

Re: Furman's Chain.

In reply to Mira , Moving (msg # 2):

Mira glanced ahead again and slowed her pace. She did not know these roads well, and had been hoping to come across someone else who might. The caravan ahead gave her pause however. Perhaps she could just follow at a safe distance if they were moving the same direction, she thought to herself. After all, she had learned the caution was warrented in this land. These roads were nothing like the well patrolled roads of Alawns (not that she had spent much time on them).

She reajusted the small pack situated on her shoulders, changing her grip on the staff she carried. A few red blisters mark her palm on her grip; her body had still not completely taken to such exertions. Letting out a sigh, and checking her pace she continues on.

Re: Furman's Chain.

She  Sees the caravan turn  Up a smaller  road. The Horsemen  Lead the way, foot troops on either side of the wagons...

she  could  smell the  stench from the wagons  as wind shifted....slavers....

But...did she  see Movement in the trees, between the switchback as the  Mounted troops turned up  the road? or was that her imagination?

Re: Furman's Chain.

Mira looks intently at the tree line, trying to spot the movement she thought she had seen just a moment ago. For a the span of a few breaths she stops, then shakes her head slightly at her silliness. She again continues at her checked pace. With her suspicions about the unsavory nature of the caravan in front of her confirmed, she clenches her teeth. Such an abombinatable injustice chafed at her, yet knowing she was alone; sensibly she knew there was nothing she could do but pity the poor souls caught at the short end of fate.

Re: Furman's Chain.

She moves  ever so slowly, then she sees it again, the Glint of  Armor in the trees.

a moment goes by and she  things  she see a figure  slowly stand and fire a bow... and perhaps another   near that person?

scream  come to her  ears   of pain and surprise...
