In reply to Lu (msg # 19):

Lucy smiled at the comment about being scolded for talking to the arrows.

"Mom, I'm a sell sword.  It's what I do.  Its what I was raised to be.  Before I found you, I was found by a community of others like me.  Cast offs, rejects, the unwanted.   There were many who were catfolk, elves, dwarves, humans.  bThey lived in peace, but they were always ready or war, should it be needed.  I wasr trained to be a warrior from the age of 8." She said.

"In fact, growing up, I had a tiger, a lion and a jaguar as my best friends.  But I had to find you.  I joined a mercenary band Called Morgan's Marauders.  We hunted slavers, rescued the kidnapped, and a whole of stuff like that.  Kind of like the Arrows do now.  I left to find you." She said.

"When I found you, I was horrified to learn what my father had put you through.  The hell he had caused you.  That's why I want to kill him.  Skin him and keep his ears as trophies.  I've seen what the catfolk are like.  I know some catfolk who would be horrified.  They were good people.  Most catfolk are not." She said.

"When I began my hunt for my father, it took me south.  That's when I ran into the arrows.  They are good people, and you can certainly trust anyone who wears their patch." She said with a broad smile.

"There will come a day, when you receive a message from me.  It will be only two words.  It's done.  That's it, nothing more.  It will mean that he is dead." She said.

In reply to LU (msg # 21):

Lucy spent the night with her mother.  It had been a long time since she had slept curled up next to her in bed.

When daylight came, she rose with the sun.  It was something she was so used to doing that it was second nature.

"I will see you tonight." She said, as she got ready to leave.

"Should the Arrows need to leave, I will be by to say goodbye." She said.

Following the Priest, Justin takes a seat on the adjacent pew, alongside his fellow follower he relates the doubts he has been having working with these adventures, most of whom are oftern overly violent, some even initiate situations where they can act on their baser indulgence. He's aware that there are difficulties and challenges which Eta places before him; however of late he has found that he is being ignored when he offers advice or assistance. This has lead him to suspect his time with these arrows is concluding.

Justin stares at the Priest "Doth Thee truly thinkes that. If Thee doth I council Thee to discuss this with Thy Brothers. A street urchin may in Their heart thinkest themselves a high Mage or King yet lacks the ability to achieve this."

The  Priest gave Justin a gentle  smile,...you listen..but you do not hear? Perhaps,  My Brother..you should ask Eta for guidance  , in the way she may express her thoughts, the best....

he points to the statue  of the alluring female , with her right arm outstretched. Cup in the delicate hand  were two holy Dice of Eta.

Justin thanks the Priest then rises moves away and finds a secluded portion of the temple suitable for contemplation. The morning had passed in quite prayer & contemplation, to no apparent conclusion. Still he enjoyed the solitude and time of devotion he had been granted by Eta. Whilst praying Justin realised that the Emperors decision to have his Former Commander and High Priest of Alpower fight each other a perfect opportunity for trouble elsewhere in the city. Rising he made his way to the Barracks of the City Watch where he offered them assistance in keeping the peace.

wandering through the streets, Justin can see  , most of the traffic is heading  to the 'Dock side' of the city, whether it be for persons to go to the Arena, Or  making their  way to the  MArket center.

There are  always some  wagons they head tot eh East, doing their  sales   direct, or merely delivering items  already orders. This type of traffic is heavier  to the South East as they head to the Temples, or sage  Guilds  and  such.

When Justin reaches The  South Gate Barracks , A AGT  at the GAte  turns him away with a slight smile,..Thank ya, fer  your help and all?... but  I'm thinking the Watch doesn't  need help from Mercs?

One's offer is of assistance nay be in the capacity of an Arrow, rather be out of concern of the Emperors peace. If Thee wish to belittle such Tis Thy choice  however Thy comments hat been noted anst shall be brought to General Axehandle's attention, ast will the suspected dereliction of duty by the North and South Commanders by absenting themselves from their assigned responsibilities.
Justin turns a little to one side taking in the Sergeant and anyone else he can see. After reconsideration One has decided to retract One's offer for t'would be futile of One to endeavour to assist such a unprofessional body ast One has just encountered. having expressed his oppinion on the watches inefficiency Justin returns to the Plank.

the temples was  pretty quiet, it was  a bit  after Mid of day. People were working, there  were a few people , come and Go to pray for needs or help. Some   dropped a coin or two into the   Golden bowls at the feet of the  God they prayed to.

Myra Notes  that most of the Temples are rather  close in structure, even if only, in idea.

most of the people who live and work at the Temples have apartments  Below. The High Priests Have  , rather ample, apartments in the rear of the Temple. And  VIP vistors  have  very well appointed Guest houses  on the grounds.

this is all Built around a center of worship..or Hall with statutes  of the God in Various poses, concerning certain sections  of their  holy books.

Lucy nodded and rose from where she was sitting.  She didn't say much to anyone, took her cut and added to what she had won at the arena.

The gold wasn't bad for a day's worth of gambling.  She made her way  to the temple where her mother was.  She nodded to the priests as she entered, and made her way to her mother's room.

She knocked on the door, happy when her mother answered.

"Hello Mother." She said with a smile.

She stepped in, and handed her mother 5 gold.

"This is from what I won at the arena today.  Although, I wager I lost more then I won, I still made out pretty well." she said with a broad grin and a chuckle.

"I am leaving tomorrow morning, very early.  I wanted to come bay and see how you were and give you some gold." She said.

They conversed for several hours, mostly just chit chat.  Lucy told the tale of the whole even in the Royal Palace and the upset victory by the priest in the arena.

By the time she left, it was close to midnight.  She made her way back to the Walk the Plank.  She then went to her room, and fell asleep.
