In reply to donsr (msg # 1):

The Cleric's approach to Justin's brothers in arms prompts a roll of his eyes, he greets each with a nod, then procedes into the Temple. Crossing to the donation box he slips several coins inside then heads to closest Acolyte who is cleaning a pew, greets his brethren then asks if he would disturb their work if he prayed.

Following the Roller into the Temple Mystal proceeded to offer prayers and devotion to the First of the Sisters. When she had completed these she followed Justin from the Temple once outside she paused when they were out of earshot of the Temple guards I was wondering if you would be persuaded to escort me to the complete the second portion of my devotions You can wait outside for my return, it should take the same time as I have here, after which we'll head back to the Walk the Plank she asked hopefully, so neither of them will be singled out in this City of mixed associations.

In reply to Myranda of the Glenn (msg # 3):

Justin agreed especially since things at the Celebration turned out as they did, it was safer for all if Arrows travellef in a minimum of two. Escorting Myranda to the second Temple where he waited in its entry, which allowed him to keep an eye  on the Priestess. After she had finished her devotions they headed to the Plank.

the Night  was  pretty much  quiet, the  wagons  or carriages  now and then, a few people making their  way home  from late parties  of  work

As with all the Temples, the Temple was  spotless, a few  workers  ,s weeping or  Mopping, some tending to candles.

a Keen eye shows   The Orc  cart, doing its  grisly job as it  kept to side streets  and alleys

Lucy watched as the crowd began to dissipated.  She had forgotten how much fun she could have when she let her guard down.  She followed the others out of the palace, to the main street.
She had thought about going back to the Plank, but the night was still young.  Then she thought about going to see her mother.  She had been surprised to hear that her moved had come to Ironmound.  Even if she was working with the Temple of Tra.  But on the other hand, why not?

So, she began to walk to the temple.  She enjoyed the night air coolness.  She nodded to people here and there, watching as the Night watch marched by.  She got lost only once, taking a right turn instead of turning left.  But that was more to her slightly inebriated state.  She had done slightly more drinking then eating during the party.

Then she found herself at the Temple.  She went in, leaving a donation at the right place.  She asked to see one of the priests.

"Excuse me, but I'm looking for someone who Tra has given refuge to, and I heard she was here in Ironmound.  Do you know a Katie Loris?" She asked.

Then gave the priest a full description of her mother.

The Priest listens to Lucy, he did not seem to distressed that she had CAt-folk in her blood.

...If  i have the right person, her  apartments  are in the lower  level, the Guards will help guide you, if you wish to seek her out.

Luthien arrived at the temple of Tra shortly thereafter. While he would eventually head back to the palace, the Knight had religious obligations to deal with, tithes to make, and other assorted deeds of righteousness to perform, including reporting to the high priest or higher ranking Knights as appropriate.

The  Guards  nodded to Luthian as he came. He would be told, that  the High Priest was asleep after leaving  the palace party.

The High Knight was still out somewhere in the city

"Yes, thank you." Lucy said.  "Tell me, how is she doing?" She asked.
"She has been through hell." She said, her voice showing hints of sadness.

She listened to the priest's answer.
She nodded.
She followed the guard to the lower levels of the temple.  She found her apartment, and gently knocked on the door.

"Mamma, it's me." She said.

Luthien started asking around for the High Knight. Perhaps he'd find him, eventually. Somewhere in the city was little to go on, but surely someone knew better then that.

 Lucy........

Down in the lower levels were  well light by lanterns. There were   doors  on  either  wsll, each had the runes  for the persons  name.

there was the spell of incense . When she  knocked on the door. a Tired  , but well Kept  woman opened the door. Behind he r was a small firplace that kept the  apartment  warm, a small door way lead into a bedroom, the room with the fire place served both as kitchen and  living area.

Rugs on the floors were from beasts hunted by the followers of Tra, who would donate, their best pelts to the Temple for thanks.

...you.... you are here?.... she brought a shaky hand to her  mouth, her wide eyes looking at Lucy.

.....................................

For the most part, the others merely shrugged off, Luthien's  question. And Older  Knight  who was out side   in the back gardens polishing his  chest plate finally said,..You seek Mannis?  Your  best bet would be to hunt him in the red Light district..trying to see  how many...'pelts'..he can  score this night? 'Course..not  much sport in that, if ye pay fer it...aye?

Luthien...sighed.

"When you said he was hunting pelts, I'd hoped you meant he was hunting slavers down there. But if he's doing something he means to pay for...that's disappointing..."

No matter. If that's where he was, he'd have to seek him out down there.

In reply to Temple (msg # 12):

Lucy smiled and hugged her mother.  Tears streamed down her eyes.  It had been a while since she saw her.

"How have you been?" She asked.  "Have they been treating you well?"

She was very happy to see her mother.

One thing her mother certainly noticed was the Arrows patch.  While the other patch she wore, the old Mauraders patch, might not have, certainly the Arrows one would have."

She brought Lucy inside  and shut the  door. It was warm and comfortable. She pointed to the kettle on the fire,..I was about to have some tea with Honey before bed... do you want some....?

she motions to  the chairs. the Cupbord has  some food stuffs and a few bottles of wine.

As she   pours   tea into  cups  and  Plops   a healthy portion of Honey into each she says,I have to thank you... I was living in one of the outbuildings before  some Dwarf fellow came  and explained that  they were  paying for me to stay in the apartments, since i was  working here?.. He had a pin on.  that looks lime your patch...That was very nice of you...to think of me...

she   sets  Lucy's  cup down by her, and she sits in the other  chair with hers.

"Yes, thank you." Lucy says to the offer of Tea.

"Mama, it was the least I could do.  I am very happy that it has worked out." She said with a smile.

"I will be sure to thank him when I see him." Lucy said with a smile.

"So, how have you been here?" She asked.

"What job do you have?" She asked.

It was kind of strange.  As much as she wanted to see and talk to her mother, she really couldn't think of much anything to ask.

"I'm glad to hear things are working out." Lucy says.

She takes out a pouch with some gold coins.

"This is for you.  there's about 30 gold.  I am sorry I don't have more, but more will come." She says.

"I just want you to be safe." she said.

She pauses, drinking her tea.  She is silent for a couple long minutes.

"There is a chance I might be going after Tawny." She said.  "I'm not sure, as the Arrows travel around a lot.  And I have heard that he's come to these parts, conducting ... business.  I'm sure you know about the Arrows.  We hunt and kill slavers and the like.  IN fact, we just rescued the niece of the Emperor." She said, smiling slightly.

"That's where we came across each other.  I was hunting Tawny, and we both had an objective.  Things worked out and I wound up joining them.  I hope to find him, and cut off his ears." She said, letting her hate for her father slip into her voice, before quickly catching herself.

"I just want to you to know that." She said.

She got up and went to hug her mother.

"I will always be here for you, mama." She said.  "I will visit as often as I can." She said.

Lucy's Mom listens  taking another Sip of her tea. She  smiles  sadly at Lucy....a few months ago?..I would have scolded you for even talking to the Arrows. Not many people like them, but those that do, speak highly of them. The Dwarf, he never gave me his name, was a gruff sort..i suppose  most are...but..he had no reason to help me, except that you were one of them....

..your  Father...he made  my life..a trip through the 9 hells..but... he also gave me you.....

...do not let him ruin your life......and..you are welcome anytime, you can even stay here  if you would  like, maybe  save yourself some coin?
