   Eldon saw the 8 militia  have become 10, not  counting the   gate lever  man... The South  gate    had their  leave  man  , his hand  on the  lever  as  Civies  were sent out into the trees, the very  way the Arrows  approached   at their  first meeting.. Kids   screamed  and cried.. woman shrieked  , wilded eyes   at the  sudden attack.

 Eldon figures at least 6  men went to the  west, and  6 to the right, of the  regulars.. other   regulars  were  Mounting  the  parapets  as the   tried to smoother fires  on the   south and east...

The   Building were catching now on the west, which meant the  wall was   , as well... two troopers in the  south  east  tower, were trying to  chop the supports  for the Burning top of the tower..

  The lead    2nd in command of the Regulars  , stood  with the mayor.... an Arrows   was high in the  air ,  landing their  a hiss, about  5 yards  from them .. The   LT   went  to grab the  arrow, its  black  arrow  head , attached  to a Blood red  shaft, with Black Fletchings.

 Crimson Arrows!.. they never  come this  far North...

  Krwyns    arrows  dropped into the   village.. some   found the  Building, some found the  ground and fizzled out, into nothing..a rare  one   would hit a person  , whop  would  be ablaze.

 Kree  Picked  a arrow  from His  quiver, loosign it  hight  so it would carry , well into the  village   common ground..

 you felt the need to announce  us?

 May as well clain our due. Maybe  it  will make them run away...

 Maybe they will send  everyone   out  for us..

 I would like that,  saves  time running people  down in the forest.

 Dala has her   bow ready. her  eyes  are narrows   as she loks  around.

Inside the walls Eldon views the militia and quickly calculates their vulnerability to a spell and the chance of getting the spell cast before being noticed,  as opposed to chasing after the regulars that were no doubt circling left and right, around to the north to possibly flank his new found companions.

Another calculation he will be making is how close the militia are together around the gate for the spell to be effective.  No doubt they are somewhat spread out, but if the gate is their focal point and they plan to exit through it, or repel those coming through, they are going to be somewhat concentrated in that area.  They might also be fairly close to the wall for the protection it provides to any errant arrow attack from beyond.  If he is not able to target at least 50%, he'll figure the risk to him personally would not be worth the reward and he will move after the regulars to try and catch them unawares from behind.

Thinking better of his initial plan of action Eldon turns and suddenly runs towards/between some of the burning buildings, looking to use the confusion and concealment of the raging fires and smoke to help obscure his movements.  As he runs he begins to change form shrinking in size.

 Elandra will wait until she has a target.

Krwyn keeps firing his Flaming Arrows at the thatched roofs he can see, now and then targeting some guards on the walls, when one is visible for a moment. Some surprised cries of pain tells him he hits more than one of them. But now he is running out of ammunition as his quiver is almost empty. He has to find new arrows on dead enemies or when the sack this village.

   Inside the  walls..  Fire, smoke and panic  were the orde4r of the Day/  While the Militia  thought they were  strong, they were not  Professional as the  Regulars are.

 At the North Gate, the Militia    commander  had   8 men to form a   V. He  and  4   archers where in side that V.  as the gate   keeper   pulled down on the weighted  lever. and the  beam rose upwards. The seemed to  be   waiting for something.

 Kree  called for cease fire  and to wait,  , the  western wall was ablaze.. the whole side  would need replaced   and  the buildings  inside..the east was not  as bad, but people still  fought the fires.., the Top of the  south east tower  had  been   cut  off , to  fall outside the   Town's walls.. Ivy  rewarded   one of the 'choppers"  with an arrow   to the Chest.

The time had not yet come...so he waited.

Yes, he had options, but it was best the enemy had no warning of those options when the mission against the dam started later.

 that's a fact... we  killed some with stary  arrows, but they still have the Number...they still don't know al our  numbers..if  we have to flee, we already struck a blow. and we can come back some other day to finish this...but.. I am of the mind to finish it now. We must be
 patient. like a Razor  hawk in the trees  as they watch the rabbits   come from their  holes.. the numbers are important, and that's  a fact..but
 everytime  we kill one, when they do not know our  numbers..that  puts fear into them.. the  settlement is on fire.. people displaced  and in the cold  forest..they have dead, and  we still live...

 we  will kill as many egulars  as we are able.. Militia, too , most likely, it  depends on thier  demeanor .. the  Villiagers. i would rather  not..but the sister   will decide that.if they are foolish, they will die....

  he hissed to  Elandra...Elandra , keep an eye on  Lysander, if they  send   people  after us  from the flanks , they will not see them, until its  too late.

That would be ideal. Those guarding noncombatants, well, nobody knows better than a Holy Knight just how difficult it is to keep people safe. They'd actually have to expend some effort to avoid accidentally killing non combatants.

Up in the air, half hidden in the smoke of the fires burning below, a small pixie begins gesturing.  If any words accompany the gesturing, they are lost in the alarm of the fort below.  A horizontal sheet of ice forms in the air, and floats like a brick as it plummets to the ground behind the northern gate.  The pixie doesn't remain stationary, but uses the smoke for cover as it zig zags in flight looking to observe any carnage caused by its spell below.

 Elandra saw something move in the trees, she gave hand signals to Farora and Lysander to warn them of the movement she saw. Elandra would watch that area to see if anyone was sneaking up behind her two friends.

Lysander stepped up his observation in the direction indicated by Elandra.

  As the Gates  opened  the Militia  wedge started to move  forward.. from the towers    archers shouted  a  warning, but it  didn'[t help..an ice sheet fell from the   air  shattering on the   4 front wedgemen, , only their shields  saved  them  from  worse  damage.

 The  leader  roared  for them to charge..  His own archers   ready to send  arrows  out towards  the enemy..if they could see them

 The  east tower, , less its   burn8ign  rof,  fired  arrows  at something  in the   air..they didn't  hit, but  some people on the eastern wall look up to see what they spotted

 Lysander   , with Farora  close..  watched the gate s swing in   and the  chards of  ice  fly ..shouts of pain  and indignation followed by an angry order to charge  the batteled front    and the rest of the  wedge  began to   hurry out the  gate, shiled s off  leather  and  swords  read..

As Krwyn sees the wedge coming out of the gate, he changes his object (for as long as he has arrows left!) to the inner side of the wedge. Aiming a slight upward, he tries to reach the man who called for the attack. His Flaming Arrow seems to hit the voice, as there was a short cry of pain as an interruption of the commands he was shouting.

Lysander attacked from the side, hitting a couple of them with his axe.

Farora takes the other side aiming for quick and efficiant kills.

Riven kept her position near the holy warrior, icy blue eyes looking out towards the gate as they waited, listening to the conversation being had with Luthien, Kree and Dala. There was nothing really for her to contribute so she remained silent and watching, her breathing slowed and controlled as they waited...

The wedge had made its appearance, Riven took aim at one of the archers and let her arrows fly.

Amidst what felt like chaos, Tyri took aim at some of the men surrounding the wedge, figuring that others who were far more accurate than she would take out the leader and the archers. Taking a bead on a couple of the men, Tyri waited a breath before loosing her arrows. Even as the arrows struck home, she was already nocking a couple more.

Luthien, finally unleashed, targets M3, and then M4 M5 as well, if he can...

But first, he gathers his energy...the world seems to slow for him, as he speeds up. Then his skin becomes like stone, and the odds of him taking meaningful damage go rather far down.


Zipping quickly now, his axe crashes into his opponents.

 From her hiding spot Elandra raises her right hand, then fired 2 guiding bolts at MA1 and MA2, they both hit their target making huge holes in their chests. Both fall to the ground very dead.

  The Militia  came out of the  game, expecting to meet the rush of the people they saw  at the other end of the Village. The   North tower  archers,  couldn't  see  any  of the enemy,   but had  an idea   when the flaming arrows  landed..The gates  opened  and the Militia  went out, Knowing the regulars

There was   the should from the  east wall as the ice sheet fell from the  sky ..  4  men in the front  where Injured,, then  bolts  game  , slamming int into  two of the archers .. who fell dead.. The leader   was hit from an arrow from Krwyn.  and staggered  back

 then a Dwarf and a Firbog , came  from the South side, hitting the surprised  troopers. As  shouts  of  scream and pain, a  Shining   armored  foe  charged  at them from 100 or so yards  away, Slamming into the  wounded men slashing away dropping the  of them.

 there  where  Three   warriors  left from the Wedge..  One   turned on Lysander, the other  two(1was wounded)  turned on Luthien

 The Loan archer   turned his Bow on the Firbog

The leader   was sorely wounded,,he shouted for the gates to close...

 in the  days, months, perhaps  years  to come..no one would ever be certain, if the Arrows  attack  ,when the gates  were opened, was designed  for the   bodies  of  half of the  dead, to stop the heavy  gates   from being  pushed  closed.  the  gateman was screaming for help

Lysander pressed his attack.  He hits one of the targets he had hit before, shoving the dead body towards the gate.  He turns to face the next target.
