   Ivy lead  of  a  dree with his hood up, and cloak around him to hid  any of  his   angular silhouette ,aye?  we   have time, what  bothers you?

She bit her bottom lip as she wrung her hands, wanting to move closer...to wrap her arms around him but this was not the time nor the place. "I don't know if I am, perhaps making a bigger deal out of this than it really is but...I just thought I would bring it to your attention. Have you noticed anything...off about Lysander's attitude? Like...during the battle that we had when we gained...Lorvia...is that her name?" she paused, making sure that she had that correct. "Anyway, him and Farora were talking and he was making a comment about how there are too many elves. Again, it sounds like...nothing but the tone used spoke of something else? I just find it worrying because 1...we do have a lot of elves...and 2...we are supposed to be a team and if that is how he feels, how can I trust that he would have my back?" She frowned, her gaze dropping to the ground as she tried to quiet her mind.

  Ivy looked over the  road, he answered  after a bit of thinking.Farora  keeps to herself. she  is not like  any of us? but hs e has proved herself in Battle. Lysander is odd, even for a dwarf. he does seem , somewhat...distamt. again, thus  far, he has  shown himself  a good member in battle, even if he does need  , much  work on interacting with us  all. That being said, look how many have  come and Gone since  we started on the furman's Chain. The Life of an Arrow, is not one that most people  are earger to embrace.

 Elandra smiled more and could tell Eldon liked her looks at least, she replied," Yes sometimes to protect and save the Peace I must fight, and I fight with my Goddess's blessing."

 Elandra giggled and replied," Ah so you are a thief with magical abilities we could use that in our group. Yes invisibility was one of your spells I figured that one out. "

 Elandra have Eldon a pat on the shoulder, " The Damn seems to be controlled by the enemy and they might flood the valley. We were sent here my the Emperor to look into the matter. We must stop them from hurting innocents and taking their Peace, I will destroy all who steal others Peace in my Goddess's name."  Elandra smiled again and added," I try to keep the Peace at all times but in times I must fight for my Peace and others Peace. Do you follow or pray to a God or Goddess? Peace will be with you always if you let it, Eldon."

  The orc  was getting weaker.....you ask  questions... how do i know? I am Orc...I hame  Broken Tree Clan... The have ,amny humans and Elves  who know smart things...you must ask them...now...i sleep. I will greet yoru soul in the 9 hells when you get there.

The  Head droops.

"Yeah I suppose when you break what I'm good at down to their component, I'm a thief, though I prefer to think of myself as a finger-smith.  I guess that's just a play on words though.

I'm always at peace, since I don't have too many worries in the world, so I've never thought I needed to pray to a god to find it.  You seem to think about your god an awful lot, which is understandable since that is where your power originates."

About then the seance between Luthien and the orc ended.  Eldon had been listening a little, though he was very pleasantly distracted by Elandra.  He looks to Luthien as he breaks out of the concentration.

"It's a pity it did not know much information for the last two questions, it would have given you better direction.  So what now?"

He flashes a smile to Elandra, raising his eyebrows in anticipation itching to get underway.  "When we're next in town remind me I owe you a drink, but don't let me buy whiskey." He finishes with a laugh.

 Elandra giggled and replied," Well yes it might be, but it is good to have someone with your skills in our group we could use a good finger-smith at times."

 Elandra smiled and adds," That means the Goddess Amot has smiled in you Eldon, you have inner Peace. Yes I must pray to my Goddess and spread her word, that is what I do for her blessings and the power she bestows upon me."

 Then Luthien finished with the Orc and they moved closer to Luthien as Eldon spoke to him.

 Then Eldon said to remind him that he owed her a drink, " Now why do you owe me a drink, did I do something to deserve this or you would like to buy me a drink because of another reason?" Elandra smiled and gave him a sincere look from her crystal blue eyes, she could tell he had at least a crush on her. Elandra wanted to know what his intentions where.

Eldon flashed his own cheeky smile back to Elandra.  "Well you told me yourself you wanted me to take you out for a drink, though not in so many words, so being the gentleman that I am, I didn't want to disappoint you," he tips his green cap with the bushy blue plume and gives her a slight bow as a gentleman would to a lady, though his eyes do flick to Luthien in case action is called for whilst he fills in the moments trying to get a date with the girl.

When no indication of action is forthcoming he refocuses on Elandra and not wanting to torment the girl he explains what he means, repeating her words.

"If you recall when I said we shouldn't drink together you asked me 'why shouldn't we drink together?', telling me you 'like to drink wine' in the same sentence.  Further to that, you told me you were very single.  Not just single, but very single to make sure I hadn't missed the fact that you were available for a date, and then in the same sentence you described me as 'cute and interesting'."

Eldon continues to smile shrugging as he does so.

"Now if I rearrange the order of your sentences to make it less confusing, I can paraphrase you even better.  "I'm single and ready to mingle, and you are cute and interesting, let's have a drink together I like wine."

Eldon beams a smile to her, as if he was just waiting for her to agree to a date or to at least say yes.

Lorvia stood, leaning on her tree watching and listening to Elandra and Eldon from under her large hood, still flipping the ring between her index and middle fingers and thumbs, wanting to ask Elandra if she could check the ring like the elf had just witnessed her do with the dagger, though she didn't want to interrupt this courtship the two seem to be having. perhaps she could get some time in to also ask about the muting curse she was under, it was starting to bother her now that she couldn't speak without sounding like she swallowed a frog, or speak without any pain.

 Elandra smiled at Eldon, and replied," Well it is a date then, I would love to have a drink with you." Elandra then moved closer and gave Eldon a kiss on the cheek. " I do not know the next safe town we will get too, but I will be looking forward to our drink date Eldon. May Peace always be with us."

 Elandra then looked to the others to see if they were ready to move out, Elandra had used almost half if her spell power for the day so she had to be careful until they found a place to rest, and she could recover her spells from her Goddess.

Seeing Elandra move closer Eldon resisted the urge to turn his face towards her at the last moment so her kiss landed smack on his lips, but it took willpower, as even the smell of the woman was disarming.

"It's a date." he repeated, happy that he'd just received two kisses from the beautiful girl within 30 minutes of meeting her, and not really sure if that was normal in human societies or not, but determined to watch and wait to see just how freely she threw her kisses around.

"I look forward to the drink, the wait until the next town is already too long," he grinned back to her turning his head quickly after the kiss whilst she was still close so he could look deeply into those eyes and admire her full lips up close.

Before she pulled away he locked eyes with her and earnestly continues, "The time will also give us both a chance to determine if it'll just be the one date, or possibly more."

The encounter complete Eldon takes a closer look at the people that made up the team that had slaughtered his captors.  He now noticed Lorvia, as she made the ring dancing across her fingers like it had a life of its own.  He nodded greetings to her, not sure why she was watching him and Elandra so closely.

 When Eldon moved his head, and she kissed him on the lips, she pulled back smiled and replied," Hmmm you are a good thief stealing a kiss right there."

 Elandra gave him a smile that could melt an iceberg, and her crystal blue eyes shining like gemstones, " Yes, it is Eldon, I think you might be the first group member I have kissed on the lips. At least I know you are very good and your profession, so are you going to try and steal my heart next?"

 Elandra replied," I look forward to it as well, yes it might be a time before we get to a safe town, but the best things are worth waiting for dont you agree Eldon?"

 Elandra looked deeply into his eyes," Yes it will give us time to learn more about each other, and Peace will always be with us." Elandra put her hands together for prayer, and said," Goddess Amot be with all of us, as we travel, give us Peace in our Journey, I pray in my Goddesses Amot's name, Amen."

 Elandra giggled and turned and saw Eldon look up at Lorvia, Elandra smiled and said," Do you require my assistance with something, please come on over I will do what I can to help you."

OOC: Actually Eldon was resisting the urge to suddenly turn his head, but Eldon likes the way you played it much, much better and he'll (very happily) take the kiss with pleasure. 

Eldon was electrified when the kiss hit home, though he tried to maintain his outward composure as his face breaks into a cheeky grin.  When she mentioned he might be the first person of the group she'd kissed on the lips, he partly wondered why she wouldn't know for certain, as he ran his tongue over his upper lip, like there was a chance he was going to get a lingering taste before he replied.

"Some things are worth stealing Elandra, but most elves would agree with me that hearts gain immeasurable value when they are won or freely given.  Perhaps the sentiment is the same for humans."

When Elandra mentions the best things are worth waiting for Eldon tilts his head to one side his smile tinged with a slight frown.

"Some things yes, but I think life is for living, and given our choice to face death each day, I don't see the value in putting off something that promises to be that enjoyable.  After all, either of us could move onto our next life in a moment, and I for one would feel short changed if that drink never happens."

"We are both adults though, so feel free to change the rules of engagement if you want.  I will leave it with you, if you should want to make an alteration that brings the date forward, I'm already in agreement, so you don't need to feel shy about it."

As he watches Elandra interact with the hooded figure he ponders his remarkable change in fortune and silently thanks whatever god was looking out for him.  He started the day as an orc captive, but only hours after escaping he'd been kissed by a beautiful girl with the promise of date.  Life was certainly a mystery and one should stop and smell the roses whenever possible.

  Kree  tucked the  Map  away  once more.Ivy....Krwyn.. take  to your Flanks... Rear  gard  get set..every one  else in the Middle...  Flankers?..we  go  northwest..leaning to the  North.. we stay  a few yards inside the tree  line, and keep the   river and Road in  sight as much as Possible..

 if we  see anyone, or anything, we have to sneak around them, or Kill them. If those orcs  come through, The  Hargenites  will  thing  we have people on the other side of the river, we cannot  let their   eyes  come back to us...Let us home  Etta  and Netta  smile  on us, and
 any one  who lies ahead.

 Ivy   gives  a nod to Krwyn   as the two elves   lope off into the   flanks.Kree  gives them a moment  , until he  can no longer see either of them,  and the main group  begins  their trek.

See movement from the group, Lysander signals Farora and moves to a trailing position.

Devon follows instructions and stays with the core group as they move.  He is no master of stealth but he at least keeps his head down in abeyance of the random orc or giant arrow that might else wise find a place in his head.  He says nothi no but hears everything.

Krwyn took the front flank according to Kree's instructions. Where as Ivy too the front along the tree line, Krwyn was out up front deeper into the woods.
He knew that Kree and the main body were way behind and Ivy somewhere more to the light of the treeline. His attention was completely focused on the wood in fron and to the side of him, constanly looking and listening for anything unusual.

With the instructions given by Kree and not yet knowing the dynamics of the group Eldon is suddenly business like.  Wistfully he pulls his eyes from the very pleasing form of Elandra as she interacts with the hooded figure (Lorvia) and compartmentalises their most recent interaction to again consider at a more appropriate time.  Fate, do a poor elf lad a favour, I need a town put in our path, is his last fading thought on the matter.

Other than likely conflict Eldon is unsure what lies ahead so he utters what seems to be some arcane words whilst twisting his fingers into several complex patterns whilst he finally threw up a handful of dust about himself.  If it was a spell, nothing changed, and he could be seen to be moving his head away from the cloud of settling dust like it was an irritant about to cause him to sneeze.

He then pulls forth both hatchets from his hip holsters and spun them quickly in each hand.  Anyone familiar with weapons would surmise he was at least accustomed to their action.  He then moved forward with the main group.

 Kree  only took a few steps  , as he walked backwards, as he took in the  Unit.  Satisfied  he turns  back ,  with some quick strides  to lead the Middle of the pack.

 His eyes watched the  trees  and listened  as best he could to the sounds, that were not, Arrows.  Gauging the differant of  what  'sundown'  would be on this side of the   mountain, as  compared to the Hargenite side.

Krwyn looped through the woods when something cought his attention when he was on some small height where he could see a bit more in the distance: to the west, hard to see because of the woods, some smoke hung above the treetops, not quite rising but certainly as a sign of some fire.
He imitated the call of the kestrel, his personal callsign to call for Kree's attention and waited for him to come up to his position.

  Kree  heard the   Call.. he held his  hands   up for the  group to stop, then waved the arms back and forth to have them scatter  for cover, and he  moved  quickly to  the Krwyn's.

Farora nods to Lysander and flanks him.

 Elandra walked in the center as normal and she would wait when Lorvia was ready to talk or when they stopped again. Elandra saw Kree put his hands to stop, Elandra stopped, and was ready to cast if needed.

When Kree comes up to Krwyn, Krwyn points in the right direction: "Smoke, low over the treetops. Could be a camp, could be an outpost. Too much for the small fire of a loneley hunter. Probably 2 miles away as the bird flies."

   Kree  looked  as the  smoke  was flattening out  against the colder   air,Keep an  eye   out   for scouts  or pickets...... Kree moves  away a bit... he stands    and gives  a sharp ...one time..whistle..  when he  feels those  with  him  has  seen him. he  waves  them   45  degrees   to the left .   He looks to  where  Ivy should  be. Pointing  to His own eyes, and then to the  tops  of the trees.

   He will  wait for the group to start moving before he  turns  to   catch up with Krwyn... a flash of green in the   mix of pine and   Oaks, tells   Kree, Ivy is moving.

As  the group  moves up   Kree  waits   and will tell them  to spread  out,  Walk carefully, and keep an  eye  out  for   scouts  and Picture.

 she   the trees  as you move, , as well as thickets. Let us see where that somke is  comign from, and who is  making it.

Devan watches with the curiosity of any experienced traveler; its new but it doesnt make his eyes pop out and roll along the floor; still above all what he does is watch and listen to the others since while he has been told the mission and their objective, he feels that there is a lot more to know, and the more he listens the more he understands he was clearly right.

 while they Move   and begin to spread out,  Dala  pulls  her hood  up, hunching  down with an arrow  nocked  but pointed   downwards..

  they   go down a   dip  and up another  Hillock .. they can see the trees  are a bit thinner here, though it looked  like it was  well panned ..

Archery. Not what Luthien does all that well, but waste of arrows though it might be, he'll waste a couple. Maybe he'll hit the broadside of a barn for once.

 Elandra moves quieter and lowers down as they head forward, she looked at Eldon," Stay close in case something happens ok." Elandra will keep following the others.

Eldon doesn't seem perturbed that dangerous events might be afoot, but he smiles and nods to Elandra, copying her move because it seemed to make sense, and he couldn't help but liked the way her athletic form moved.

Devan used to be terrible with a bow, now he is forbidden from it.  Does it make sense? Not really, but the gods make the rules and as a cleric for one, he makes sure to keep them.  Frankly, he would be better with a guided bolt anyway.

Luthien peers, and his eyes are keen this time. "Two humans, maybe elves, over that way. Not well hidden if I can pick em out. "

On the one hand, Devan was inclined to reason with them.  On the other hand, if they served a dark psychic god, he didn't care.

"Do you want something done to them?" Eldon questions quietly as he continues to walk stealthily, hatchets drawn.

OOC:  Am I right in my picturing of the scene, that the ground is snow covered amongst the trees?

 Elandra stops and gets down and said," I see a human or an Elf in that tree over there about 300 yards." Elandra will then wait for further orders from Kree before doing anything at this point.

Krwyn observes an elf or human up in a tree to his left. He is not sure if this could be an outpost line of the camp they are approaching. He signs to Kree without a sound his observation. Carefull he takes cover trying not to make the same mistaken the person up in that tree made by moving somewhat.

Lysander's thoughts are elsewhere at the moment.

  Ivy  gives  a  Razorhawk   whistle.. Kree   Just nodded, knowing  Ivy could see him.

 The  group  stood, Kree was shure  they could  see the Arrows... if  came down to how many of them, the Arrows  saw

As they remain still waiting for orders to be given, and with Elandra is right next to him, Eldon engages the pretty girl in hushed conversation.  To allow himself to be heard he brings his head in close to hers, almost whispering into her ear.  It's effective, it gets the message to her, and though it crosses into her personal space, it's not invasive, his body movement do not signal anything inappropriate being said.  What the hushed conversation is about is anyones guess since his voice does not carry though his head does nod to one side for a moment.

   As they waited. none of the others  saw anything.  Adam gave  a  whistle , signaling Krwyn and Ivy to stand  ready.. he stood  up   telling everyone to be  ready and try to stay concealed.

  he  gave Luthien a whack on  tLet us move  forward a bit , Holy One... you can't   hid  in the forst , lokign like that..so we  may as well  let them think  we  want seen.he shoulder..

Going about 20 yards   they Stopped..   Kree  held up his  bow with an arrow nocked  and  half  pulled.I can see  5  of you.. I can , most Likely  Kill  one of those   5  before  any of you can draw your own bow  .. we  are traveling, Hunting  people  of   dark lineage... if you have a Hetman..have them come forth.. Lysander ducked into the underbrush.

   The Felow  was   6 foot, dressed alot like Kree  and other forest runners.How did you know i was hargen...

  The fellow had  a man dressed  in  chainmail that was  weaved with  vines  and painted  green/brow The Fellow  looks at them Both.. I am Busco.. I   and the   leader of the  village you seek to  enter...This is our Holy Man..Veest... Who are you....

  The   kree, who still has  not  lessened the slight  pull on his bow..I am ..Kree.....Quicksahdow..This  is  Our Holy Warrior... Luthien...

Luthien smiles blandly.

"The village is...there. If you wish it to remain there, it would be wise to treat the Captain with respect."

The village is not the team's objective. But they can't have people riding off to warn the dam people.

"A village counts." Eldon whispers to Elandra as he looks to the sky and silently mouths the words, thank you.  He is apparently as unconcerned that she has not answered his earlier query, as he is with the posturing of Busco and Kree as the two groups meet.  Still he keeps his eye on Kree for direction, in case the brown stuff get scattered by the fan.

 Elandra had her spells ready, they were bad guys but she waited to see what Kree would do. Elandra almost forgot about what Eldon asked then quietly said to him, " I am not sure, she hasnt been with us long, I think she is a druid but her shapeshifting is cursed somehow not sure, hopefully will find out more."

 Elandra was about to say more when the Leader of the camp talked to the Captain and Luthien, she was ready to join them if Kree called for her.

Tyri watched the exchange, trying her best to keep any emotions off her fair features but it was hard and took considerable effort for her. There were so many things that just didn't come as naturally to her which put her at a disadvantage if anything. She moved to stand beside Ivyain, watching and waiting.

Riven remained on standby, watching Kree and Busco intently. Her bow remained shouldered but she had her hidden daggers that were easily accessible.

Lysander knew better than moving around.  He was too noisy for that.

Devan also remains where he is and observant.  He waits for a reason to take action but suspects that will be soon, even if he isn't going to endeavor to be the source.

  Busco  looked out  at the others, he could see a few behind  Kree, but not the  'woodland types'.well? Pointy Ear.. You have to go around  or go back, This is Our Village and...

Kree stepped on his  words   as he said,You are on the wrong  side of the Mountain, Hargenite . This is Empire land.

 these lands  are 'The Inbetween' it is for those  who wish to settle

 The  'In Between' ..is  for refugees  from Hargen, and  settlers  from  the Empire . Are you refugees... The  Man was getting agitated .

 we are settlers.. this lands  will be part of the  Hargen Empire.

 Hargentites  are not known to be bright... But if you would care to watch,  We will kill half the people in your village and set it afire?

  Ivy  had  Caught up by then...Kree?  we  are the finest unit in the realms, but we are no army..how do you think we are going to  siege a   village with a palisade wall ?

 It is  made of  wood. they have thatched  rooves... They will have to worry about their  women  and their children, their livestock  and animals.. we  only have  to kill and burn.   Whatever  damage  we  do, will warn the Wyvern Riders.. if the Hargenites  are smart, they'll move
 back to  their side of the Mountain

"A bonfire the size of a village tells the dam we're coming. It might be best to hold off on flames."

  Kree    frowned The  folks at the Dam  will know someone is here, The orc  we sent ..the bodies  we left behind, and these   folks   are on our side of the Mountain, all of you have been around long enough  to know what would happen to a Village of Elves or dwarves   on their  side of the Mountain

  Besides.... He has insulted  The Sisters . I have asked  aid of  The Sisters  many times in my life, and Most times they are answered, other  times   they are answered in odd  ways, that , more or less, is the effect  i desired for me and My people. If the leader  survives He
 will take it as a group of  Empire Mecs   who chased them off this side of the mountain...

  Krwyn, Ivy.. range  ahead...you see a scout or a Pickette. kill them, get  any weapons off them we might use..if they have Cloaks, take them as well , we'll need those  for setting up a  camp.

 Ivy Noodled  he wasn't  too keen, but he understood, another Nod  to   Krwyn and the   two flanker s slipped off into the  thicker trees  outside the tree line of the  villages Palisade.

 Once the main fighting is  done,we will see if we  can go into the  village  and gather  suppies  and such...and see  why the Village is realy here.

"I see. I had a whole other idea in my head...it's possible to create silence zones with magic...it's a pretty decent sized silence zone for the amount of power used. Silence takes no prisoners, it disrupts sound for everyone. But a coordinated unit under silence would be able to do what is necessary without anyone calling for help. Legends will later tell about the silent death that killed everyone in their sleep."

In a silence zone, nobody can hear you scream. But nobody can ask for help either.

Devan frowns at a mention of insult to his goddess. He is sorely tempted to show them right now just how much pleasure the "slave" could give them, and instead bided his time, marking the location to return after they finished their current mission.

Riven scowled at the insult to the goddesses of Luck. Though it had remained unseen because of her mask, that glint in her eye was there. Fingertips lightly brushed against the hilt of one of her hidden daggers, so tempted but refraining for now.

 They are about Half  way around, Kree, just barely sees  Krwyn  move off  Kree figures he Knows   way.. off to the 'village side" of the   group  there  is the  sound of something heavy  hitting the forest floor, a  whistle from  Ivy tell Kree one less watcher  is  around..

  Kree lets the   group catch up  a bit as he  says in Hushed  tomes..any spell flingers have  fire.. save it  for the Buildings..  Anyone with a weapon, you will Kill , do not strike down women or   children   unless its in self defense... we want the    warriors to  have to worry about getting them out, once   we   finish the Battle , we loot  and  run....

 Dala  asked,But...Captain?  they have walls...

 They also have Gates... and once we are inside the Gates, the wall keep them  in,,and we are like  wolves  in a sheep's pen.  If the leader cares for his people, he will get them out the far gate, and  any sally  ports they have... if he is a fool?  then the Sisters  already  made their answer to his  insults...

 They began to move, a bit more  swiftly  down, hoping to cause   concern, at the lack of Intel coming back to the Village from,at least, one dead  watcher

Krwyn looks at the two guards up in the trees. The first he targets with his bow and lets loose an arrow. He hits the man square in the chest, the armor preventing a direct kill. Neverthelees, his target is so wounded he looses his footage in the tree and crashes from his perch, through the lower branches, adding injury by the fall to his wounds. Satisfied this opponent isn't a serious threat anymore, he targets the second outpost. This arrow hits home too, but the wound is not as serious as the first one: the arrow sprouts from his right shoulder and the moment he is hit, the guard shouts of pain and surprise.

Lysander looks for points from which attacks might come.  He walks on with the rest, but is ready for what comes next.

 Elandra will fire a guiding bolt at the watcher she saw and try to take him out.

 Elandra smiled as her bolt hit home and dropped the sentry, he fell to the ground below very dead.

Devan was about to shoot a guided bolt, only to realize the sentry was quite dead.

Eldon snoops to the fallen sentry, trying not to leave an obvious trail as he goes.  He looks to move as silently as possible through the snowy undergrowth at the same time, and when he gets to the dead man, he relieves him of small items he no longer wants.

    As the   Arrows   move through  the trees,  Kree    tries to keep their pace , fast, hoping their  foes , think they are Running.

   15 Minutes  longer and   Kree  Motioned them  a  bit southwest... here. the trees  were thicker, More proof , that was being set up as  an enemy outpost.. the  killing  area  they  cleared of trees  to the east and south east, where  Empire  troops  would most like  be come , from  below

 They did not  clear much from the North and  north west, because  there is no major   concentration of  troops, and the Norther - Northeast would be Hargenites...  eaxcept .. we  will be  attacking  from the North...  take time..  Spell flingers  who have  flames   sells.  have them  ready

Luthien, naturally, is preparing for his melee blitz. He's got a few new toys to play with...but this doesn't seem to be the level of fight that will require him to load up on everything he's got.

After seeing to the fallen sentry Eldon moves on noticing Kree is keeping a fast pace and the others are in step.  As he again draws closer to Elandra he holds out his hand to her, but what he has in his hand is unclear for it is held under his fingers, but it is clear he intends for her to hold out her hand to receive.  She might notice his other hand holds a quiver that still contains a small bunch of arrows.

    They  Moved  to the   north  , until they were  Relatively  near the  gates  on the  North part of the Village... here we  are then, what all  do we have    for   Fire.

   Dala   was   wrapping  some  cloth from the Horse   soldiers  blanket  Behind  her  arrow head.

AFter killing the last sentry on his flank, Krwyn listens to Kree's instructions. As Fire Arrows are his speciality because of his magical longbow, he nods and awaits the signal.

 Elandra keeps her eyes, ears Holy senses out for anything as they get closer to the Village. Elandra said a prayer to Amot to help the children escape and have a chance at Peace.

 Then Eldon came over and held his hand out like he was going to give her something. Elandra smiled held out her hand to receive it and replied," Thank you, and get ready the fighting will start soon. May Amot Protect us and Pease will always be with us."

 After that Elandra gets into position to fire her guiding bolts at any enemies that come out of the village as they attack.

"Fire isn't really my thing, but at least I only have to hit a roof, not a moving target."

He can do that much, and duplicates Dala's trick for a burning arrow.

Eldon drops silver pieces into Elandra's hand.  "Your kill, your plunder.  He had this dagger as well as these arrows if you want them," he says showing the danger in his belt and the quiver of 8 arrows in his hand.  "I'm ready to fight," he says with a shrug seemingly not too concerned.

     Ivy climbs  a  pine  tree, Kree  hands him up  his   telescope..to the  west.. two Large  Building..  either Barns  or  stroehouses, since they have  double  doors... The    Houses  are Small  , round.. might have  2  rooms  at best..bigger   homes   are long the  walls..the   have  been made of wood, , two stores,, at least two are  Inns or Taverns...

 the South, has a  long   Building along the  wall.. its  wood..woodenrood.. with a latter  that leads  to the roof, then the   guard  walk on the palisades...That has  to be  a Barracks . Which means  these folks  are not settlers, this is  an Outpost.  I can see   men on the walls, concerned  that they cannot get information of the Men we killed. There   are  three  wells  near th4e center   of the outpost..there are some women and   kids  hanging out, they do not look worried.. i can see several dogs... I.....count.... 4  Archers on the  South  wall..  you have to figure
 , that many on this   wall..and , we'll be generous  and say they have  4 on each side wall..

 there  is a  man whose  breast plate   has a  hard  time covering his  Belly.. talking to the Mayor?.. Kree?   he's older. but he still has  Hargenite Regular Rankings.. Colonel, Major ?.. that means there  are   at least  50   troopers there...

 Unless,  Those   people we  killed were from this  outpost..how many Thatched   rooves

 all over them, Save  for the Barricks  and   the  one storehouse..

It looks like things are soon to kick off so Eldon casts a spell, as Ivy climbs the tree.  The outcome is not immediately apparent.

Devan readies a spell but doesn't cast yet until the others go.

 Kree loked  around, the silence  either meant every one was ready, or they were afraid.. he would find out shortly.

 Lysander?      move along the trees   , get  to the  wall  and   stay  hiddedm.. wait at that  gate.. if they oepn it to  come out    after   Us  Cut    soem of the    warriros  down, make sure  their   bodies  are in the  way of  closing the  gate.. if you find  something near  the gate to start  a fire..use it.... if the  do open the    gate, we  charge  for it....

  Kree Quickshadow Now?  before   that happens..we  wait.. Lysander  will signal us when he  is  ready.. Krwyn, will use his   Bow to  set fire  to  the  western    rooves, the rest of us  use the   rag  arrows  on the eastern side anyone with   fire  spells  hit a roof  with thatch.... we will cause  as  Much  Problems as  we are  able...

 What  about those  regulars?

 I the last pair of  days  we littered the  countty side  witl regulars. They  die just like anyone else.

 Off you go Lysander.... take your  time. we have no where  else to be.

Lysander will move along the trees to the gate and wait for his opportunity.  He will signal when he is in position.

 Elandra got into position as she harnessed the power to unleash some guiding bolts at any enemy that heads towards them. Elandra had no fire spells at her call, her Goddess hadn't even offered any to her yet. Elandra only had a few attack spells as well, she was mostly support and healing was her major role.

 She would use some spell power for defense and then use the rest to heal the others.

Eldon stoops to one knee and rummages through his backpack, pulling out a flask, and digging out his flint and steel which is slipped into his trouser pocket.  As he stands closing and shouldering the backpack, he is holding the flask in his right hand as his form begins to morph and change.  The lines that made up the 1/2 elf warp and condense, stretch and blend into a fluid movement of flesh and equipment as magic transforms his physical appearance.  A moment later the 1/2 elf is gone and in his place a Peregrine falcon fusses about as it gets its bearings flapping its wings as it takes to the air flying through the trees towards the wall.

with the   small  fires to light the Arrows   started , Kree  lit  his , as soon as  all the fire   arrows  were ready, he said...Attack!

 Arrow s flew , the first  couple  Hit the  rooves, m it wasn't  until  one  fell short and  people inside  began to  Scream..  Kree  didn't  care  as the bell rang ..He  keep firing , he   had  6  arrows    for that. he was using  them  all .

 Krwyn, did not have to worry about running out.

Luthien also let fly the fire arrow...though that was really the least of his worries. This part was not what he was here for...

That came next...

Krwyn fired one Flaming Arrow after another, aiming at every thatched roof he can see. Sometimes he aims at a sentry on the wall for a lucky shot.

 Elandra kept her spell at the ready waiting for bad guys to come out into range so she could take them out.

Lysander waited near the gate, waiting to pounce.

  Kree    watched as the Fires  hit and took holed. Krwyn's  arrows   took hold fasted, because of the Magic involved..  Smoke  was rising.screams of panic  from women and children, curses  and stern orders   from  Troopers  and   Towns folk Militia.

A Milita  woman   made the  Mistake of   standing up to see if she  could see the attackers when she reached the parapet . A flamign  arrow Hit her chest  sending her  backwards  into the  Village  as  the flames  caught on her  leather and  cloth.

 Devan!... circle  around to the west.. if you see  anyone there. Kill them, or  warn us...


The  Fellow  nodded to   Kree and  moved off  deeper into the trees and to the west...

  everyone   send what arrows you had  prepared for fire arrows.... Krwyn, continue to use  yours  Until the gates open....

above the Village was  a small storm cloud  growing..They have  Magic  as well.. make sure to spread out..

"I can close. But it would be difficult to support me if I did..."

Close and hunt down the spellcaster...

 Elandra looks at the storm and tries to judge the strength of it, she will then say," I call upon the Goddess Amot to Dispel this unpeaceful magic." Elandra summons the power from Amot and she will use as many spell slots she needs to dispel the magic.

If the fires are taking, Eldon will climb down from the roof taking on monkey like arms as he moves down to enable himself to climb better.  He constructs his arms properly as he looks to move into the form of a town folk militia.  He will keep to the sides, trying to look engaged in an important activity (such as grabbing a bucket like he might be moving to put out a fire) but also trying to get close to the gates to see if they are to be opened, or if he could cast a knock spell to get them open if need be.

Riven looked to Luthien. “I've got you ” she said softly, indicating that she would be alright with providing some kind of support whether it was with ranged or melee. Those cold blue eyes looked at the holy warrior, assessing for a moment. When he set off, she followed at an appropriate distance.

She watched the village closely, continuing to utilize the flaming arrows until she was tapped. Once those were gone, she nocked an arrow and began to watch the gate, prepared to let it loose once they open and the opponent made himself known.

  Eldon can see  three guards  by the North gate.  a Beam o  a  leaver was set in the   cradle  of  2 Iron  'nesting  arms" o  each     gate.  The   bar , its  seems  was opened  from the left side of the gate  by  pulling on a  thick rope  that held  3 boulder-like  rocks

 One of the Three  men by the gate was  near that  leaver, while the other two   searched the  Village.. 4 troopers   were Junning towards the  gate.

The fires  were catching and smoke  was   rising ..again,,the cold  ari  was causing the smoke to flatten out  . There was a druid   weaving  and casting   as he looked  up at the  small storm Could... but a flash of pure   light hit  that  could,, and it  vanished,, The Druids  screaming in frustration.

 Outside   Elandra managed  to  break the storm cloud, Krwyn's flames  were  rising  are,

  Krwyn, keep firing until the gets  open.. all other archers, ready for whom every comes out that  door.

Finding a bucket and getting as close to the gate as he dared, Eldon realised his opening spell was no match for the mechanism to open the gate, so bucket in hand he changed tactics to seeing to some of the fires.  Casting his eyes around for a well, or failing the sight of that, for others either running to or away from the fire holding buckets, he falls in with them, looking to do what he can with the fires until an opportunity presented itself.

Lysander could hear them nearing the gate.  He steeled himself for battle.

 In side the   palisades,    The Milia were scattering, the Regulars   went out the thought the South Gate,  some  going to the right, some to the left   as they  went to circle towards  the   North gate.

 meanwhile the  Milita  had   8 people at the Gate, they seemed to be  waiting for   something..

 Outside the   walls   Lysander, with  Farora   a but  behind, on the  eastern  side  of the gate. Flames were rising high  on the western side, where Krwyn's  arrows  had   Fallen.  The  town  would be in bad shape by  night fall, the whole of the  west  wall and  the buildings  that were  huddled  next to it  would be   gone. . the east side had  fires  going, it would, indeed  end the same way, if they did not have the people   or the time to  put the fires  out.

 Dala   sent  her  las  fire  aroow  to the    East.. it landed atop the   east tower  roof...Kree looked at  her..Too high  for the wind, ...i guess? Still? its thatch?  Right?

 Kree gave  a Sigh, and watched the gates....

 Will they  send people out?

 They Must..Now? depednign  on who comes through the main gate..will tell us if we are fighting  fool...or if they are fighting fools...

Luthien had been holding back...

"I could open the gate, if you'd like. But if you'd prefer to wait..."

He has means of getting around.

 Elandra would make sure she had a good view of the gate the where nearest and waited for a target to come within range of her guiding bolts.

   Eldon saw the 8 militia  have become 10, not  counting the   gate lever  man... The South  gate    had their  leave  man  , his hand  on the  lever  as  Civies  were sent out into the trees, the very  way the Arrows  approached   at their  first meeting.. Kids   screamed  and cried.. woman shrieked  , wilded eyes   at the  sudden attack.

 Eldon figures at least 6  men went to the  west, and  6 to the right, of the  regulars.. other   regulars  were  Mounting  the  parapets  as the   tried to smoother fires  on the   south and east...

The   Building were catching now on the west, which meant the  wall was   , as well... two troopers in the  south  east  tower, were trying to  chop the supports  for the Burning top of the tower..

  The lead    2nd in command of the Regulars  , stood  with the mayor.... an Arrows   was high in the  air ,  landing their  a hiss, about  5 yards  from them .. The   LT   went  to grab the  arrow, its  black  arrow  head , attached  to a Blood red  shaft, with Black Fletchings.

 Crimson Arrows!.. they never  come this  far North...

  Krwyns    arrows  dropped into the   village.. some   found the  Building, some found the  ground and fizzled out, into nothing..a rare  one   would hit a person  , whop  would  be ablaze.

 Kree  Picked  a arrow  from His  quiver, loosign it  hight  so it would carry , well into the  village   common ground..

 you felt the need to announce  us?

 May as well clain our due. Maybe  it  will make them run away...

 Maybe they will send  everyone   out  for us..

 I would like that,  saves  time running people  down in the forest.

 Dala has her   bow ready. her  eyes  are narrows   as she loks  around.

Inside the walls Eldon views the militia and quickly calculates their vulnerability to a spell and the chance of getting the spell cast before being noticed,  as opposed to chasing after the regulars that were no doubt circling left and right, around to the north to possibly flank his new found companions.

Another calculation he will be making is how close the militia are together around the gate for the spell to be effective.  No doubt they are somewhat spread out, but if the gate is their focal point and they plan to exit through it, or repel those coming through, they are going to be somewhat concentrated in that area.  They might also be fairly close to the wall for the protection it provides to any errant arrow attack from beyond.  If he is not able to target at least 50%, he'll figure the risk to him personally would not be worth the reward and he will move after the regulars to try and catch them unawares from behind.

Thinking better of his initial plan of action Eldon turns and suddenly runs towards/between some of the burning buildings, looking to use the confusion and concealment of the raging fires and smoke to help obscure his movements.  As he runs he begins to change form shrinking in size.

 Elandra will wait until she has a target.

Krwyn keeps firing his Flaming Arrows at the thatched roofs he can see, now and then targeting some guards on the walls, when one is visible for a moment. Some surprised cries of pain tells him he hits more than one of them. But now he is running out of ammunition as his quiver is almost empty. He has to find new arrows on dead enemies or when the sack this village.

   Inside the  walls..  Fire, smoke and panic  were the orde4r of the Day/  While the Militia  thought they were  strong, they were not  Professional as the  Regulars are.

 At the North Gate, the Militia    commander  had   8 men to form a   V. He  and  4   archers where in side that V.  as the gate   keeper   pulled down on the weighted  lever. and the  beam rose upwards. The seemed to  be   waiting for something.

 out or the south Gat, &  troopers where wheeling round  the east and west walls.These men where all regulars. As  the  others  if  the Militia  went  a few hundred  yards into the trees, from the  village. to protect the Villagers

 Kree  called for cease fire  and to wait,  , the  western wall was ablaze.. the whole side  would need replaced   and  the buildings  inside..the east was not  as bad, but people still  fought the fires.., the Top of the  south east tower  had  been   cut  off , to  fall outside the   Town's walls.. Ivy  rewarded   one of the 'choppers"  with an arrow   to the Chest.

The time had not yet come...so he waited.

Yes, he had options, but it was best the enemy had no warning of those options when the mission against the dam started later.

 Dala  kneels  close to  kree, with Luthien  near her.isn't this.....foolish? They have Numbers on us...

 that's a fact... we  killed some with stary  arrows, but they still have the Number...they still don't know al our  numbers..if  we have to flee, we already struck a blow. and we can come back some other day to finish this...but.. I am of the mind to finish it now. We must be
 patient. like a Razor  hawk in the trees  as they watch the rabbits   come from their  holes.. the numbers are important, and that's  a fact..but
 everytime  we kill one, when they do not know our  numbers..that  puts fear into them.. the  settlement is on fire.. people displaced  and in the cold  forest..they have dead, and  we still live...

 we  will kill as many egulars  as we are able.. Militia, too , most likely, it  depends on thier  demeanor .. the  Villiagers. i would rather  not..but the sister   will decide that.if they are foolish, they will die....

Dala   looked at Kree, if he noticed  he  didn't  show it...They say, at Court, that you are ruthless...

 Those who   say such, speak the truth... I did not start the war.. I did not atatck  The Black Timber, because  we would  not tuen our own trees over , for  humans to build  ships... nor  did  i invite  Hargenites  to join the war...I didn't  send slavers  for   slaves from folks  who can barely  survive..but there is omne thing i can do..and that is  Kill any and all who stand  in  our  way...these folks are trespassing. Ironmould   would burn the place  down  and send the women and children back to  Hargen

  he hissed to  Elandra...Elandra , keep an eye on  Lysander, if they  send   people  after us  from the flanks , they will not see them, until its  too late.

Those left behind...they're looking for mysterious attackers in the smoke. If they have heard of the reputation of the Arrows, or if they believe us to be mirror images of themselves, it is...possible...most of their forces will be left to guard non combatants."

That would be ideal. Those guarding noncombatants, well, nobody knows better than a Holy Knight just how difficult it is to keep people safe. They'd actually have to expend some effort to avoid accidentally killing non combatants.

Up in the air, half hidden in the smoke of the fires burning below, a small pixie begins gesturing.  If any words accompany the gesturing, they are lost in the alarm of the fort below.  A horizontal sheet of ice forms in the air, and floats like a brick as it plummets to the ground behind the northern gate.  The pixie doesn't remain stationary, but uses the smoke for cover as it zig zags in flight looking to observe any carnage caused by its spell below.

 Elandra saw something move in the trees, she gave hand signals to Farora and Lysander to warn them of the movement she saw. Elandra would watch that area to see if anyone was sneaking up behind her two friends.

Lysander stepped up his observation in the direction indicated by Elandra.

  As the Gates  opened  the Militia  wedge started to move  forward.. from the towers    archers shouted  a  warning, but it  didn'[t help..an ice sheet fell from the   air  shattering on the   4 front wedgemen, , only their shields  saved  them  from  worse  damage.

 The  leader  roared  for them to charge..  His own archers   ready to send  arrows  out towards  the enemy..if they could see them

 The  east tower, , less its   burn8ign  rof,  fired  arrows  at something  in the   air..they didn't  hit, but  some people on the eastern wall look up to see what they spotted

 Lysander   , with Farora  close..  watched the gate s swing in   and the  chards of  ice  fly ..shouts of pain  and indignation followed by an angry order to charge  the batteled front    and the rest of the  wedge  began to   hurry out the  gate, shiled s off  leather  and  swords  read..

As Krwyn sees the wedge coming out of the gate, he changes his object (for as long as he has arrows left!) to the inner side of the wedge. Aiming a slight upward, he tries to reach the man who called for the attack. His Flaming Arrow seems to hit the voice, as there was a short cry of pain as an interruption of the commands he was shouting.

Lysander attacked from the side, hitting a couple of them with his axe.

Farora takes the other side aiming for quick and efficiant kills.

Riven kept her position near the holy warrior, icy blue eyes looking out towards the gate as they waited, listening to the conversation being had with Luthien, Kree and Dala. There was nothing really for her to contribute so she remained silent and watching, her breathing slowed and controlled as they waited...

The wedge had made its appearance, Riven took aim at one of the archers and let her arrows fly.

Amidst what felt like chaos, Tyri took aim at some of the men surrounding the wedge, figuring that others who were far more accurate than she would take out the leader and the archers. Taking a bead on a couple of the men, Tyri waited a breath before loosing her arrows. Even as the arrows struck home, she was already nocking a couple more.

How do you break a wedge?

Luthien, finally unleashed, targets M3, and then M4 M5 as well, if he can...

But first, he gathers his energy...the world seems to slow for him, as he speeds up. Then his skin becomes like stone, and the odds of him taking meaningful damage go rather far down.


Zipping quickly now, his axe crashes into his opponents.

 From her hiding spot Elandra raises her right hand, then fired 2 guiding bolts at MA1 and MA2, they both hit their target making huge holes in their chests. Both fall to the ground very dead.

  The Militia  came out of the  game, expecting to meet the rush of the people they saw  at the other end of the Village. The   North tower  archers,  couldn't  see  any  of the enemy,   but had  an idea   when the flaming arrows  landed..The gates  opened  and the Militia  went out, Knowing the regulars

There was   the should from the  east wall as the ice sheet fell from the  sky ..  4  men in the front  where Injured,, then  bolts  game  , slamming int into  two of the archers .. who fell dead.. The leader   was hit from an arrow from Krwyn.  and staggered  back

 then a Dwarf and a Firbog , came  from the South side, hitting the surprised  troopers. As  shouts  of  scream and pain, a  Shining   armored  foe  charged  at them from 100 or so yards  away, Slamming into the  wounded men slashing away dropping the  of them.

 there  where  Three   warriors  left from the Wedge..  One   turned on Lysander, the other  two(1was wounded)  turned on Luthien

 The Loan archer   turned his Bow on the Firbog

The leader   was sorely wounded,,he shouted for the gates to close...

 in the  days, months, perhaps  years  to come..no one would ever be certain, if the Arrows  attack  ,when the gates  were opened, was designed  for the   bodies  of  half of the  dead, to stop the heavy  gates   from being  pushed  closed.  the  gateman was screaming for help

Lysander pressed his attack.  He hits one of the targets he had hit before, shoving the dead body towards the gate.  He turns to face the next target.

 Elandra saw regulars in the woods coming from the south, she saw at least two maybe more. " Captain we have regulars coming from the south I see 2 but I think there are more." Right after Elandra spoke she fired 2 guiding bolts aiming at the two regulars she saw coming from the South.

Instead of dueling with the militia ahead of him...he had a different goal in mind. Using his superior speed, he dashed by them both, leaving them to flail on his combined defenses. Any bruises he suffered are incidental.

He zoomed up to the gate guard to take him out. Then he'll jam the gate open to make sure it cannot close.

Farora misses her first target's neck by many inches but jams her knife in the second one's throat, blood begins spurting out.

Krwyn sees movement from the west: at least 2 and possible 4 regulars coming in their direction. He redirects his fire and targets the formost regulars, first firing on the leftmost and then at the right one. He calls his friends to attention: "4 regulars from the west, probably more."
He takes his time to aim: every arrow counts as he has only two or three left. "Anyone some arrows for me?" he calls, knowing full well that, after Kree and Ivy, he is probably the third bowman in the group, and his Flaming Arrows account for more damage and terror than the usual arrows.

 Dala looses  an arrow that Hit the one healthy   archer.. the Man cries out, and tries to focus on the   Three Arrows  members in their midst, Kree   unwraps the  quiver of  arrows  taken before from those they killed on the way., he gives it  to Dala..Run this to Krwyn..tell him to make  them count on the regulars..

 Calling out he says to Riven..Help  Krwyn!...  Tyri, you and  Ivy help  Elandra  with the  regulars from the   east!

 I will use  what shafts i have  left at the gate, and move up with  my blade  once they are spent.

  Two Magelings types were Missing.. one he had  sent off, the other...who knows?..only the ice  sheet had gave  Kree the idea  that  he was still about.

 Iva e  sent   two  shaft  at Elandra's targets..he  missed, the  second one

 Farora  and Luth  killed one guard, as   Luth  pushed through to the gate Keeper  and finished him

 Lysander sees  the  Leader    and the 2  wounded archer ..one  of the  Archers it Farora  ( 3 DP)

 The Militia  Leader was screaming for help and to  shut the gates, but the  dead  bodies would no permit that, and the Gate keeper was now  dead.

  Two Bodies  slammed into the  ground , in the village  center,, , one, was an overly  large  Hawk that shimmered into a man, covered  with bark instead of    skin, he was armed   with a Thron covered  club, and  a  Knob-ended   Cudgel ..   he  shouted some  odd  sounding  words  as it charged  the battered   Pixie.

 The regular's  officer was talking to the Mayor  at the  south gate, as he  saw the  enemy at the Nrith gates!

 Dala reaches  Krwyn...this is a  quiovwer  of 24, from the dead horseman.. The captain says, use them well on the regulars!... I must go back to the Captain, he is standing alone in the middle. though, i do not think any of them see us  yet.

"Thanks the captain for me, Dala, and be careful! I would hate to be the one to tell Luthien you have been hurt or worse," he tells her, while taking the quiver to replace his own. As soon as he has new arrows, he starts to fire Flaming Arrows again at the regulars at his side, every time aiming at the nearest.

Lysander will go after the leader.

Luthien only sees 3 left standing. Ma3 ma4 and ml.

Luthien sweeps by at high speeds to take a swing at each.

 Elandra will see 2 more as Ivy hit one. Elandra then fires 2 guiding bolts, one at RE3 and the other RE4. Elandra wanted to eliminate all on that side. Once she fired and they hit Elandra would look around for any more enemies and then say," Captain I am getting low on spell power saving the rest of my energy for healing." Elandra then got out her x-bow and got ready to fight that way is she still needed too.

  Kree   steps  out  into the Open, hi  Bow  is still being used  until his arrows  are spent.

  Shouting...Regulars  are flanking!

   Just inside the  gate was a horor scene, Luthien, Lysander and farora covered in  blood.. and the Militai   dead  around  them. The  guards from the two towers, were   running down the  parapets , to get away from the archers, and the crazed  warriors  at the gate

 The Regular  Captain looked   from the  South Gate to the carnage  at the  south  gate, and the runnign Militia  on the  walls.. the western  two had to stop as the walls  were sending Flames  20 feet into the air.

  The  Greenish man was slamming the  'pixie's'  body.. the  Cudgel  crushed the  head , with each pound, the  Throen  covers  club toren  bits from the magic , modified  skin..the Body slowly returned   to ..more or less. the shape  of  Edron.

 the head  lay rushed..gore on the tufts  of  grass,  the   body shattered.  as the    Greenish colored man shouted.. GORR AND MINAHAS JUDGED THIS ONE...WHO IS NEXT!

  The regular Captain was  callign   everyone out of the  Village, and  forming up the regulars he still had  by the  South Bate.. there  were..at least 12,,plus the   4  Militia   who ran  from their  towers.

 The Mayor, who was  so stern,,now looked  shaken.. How many of the ebeny where in the trees!

 Elandra did not see what happened inside the camp with Eldron, she heard the Capatina call out more regulars flanking. Elandra wanted to save spell power for now in case they needed lifesaving healings.

 Elandra raised her x-bow and fired two bolts at the one that was wounded RW-1.

There's some more opponents...and they're tougher. But they're not that tough to Luthien, who is more than a match for them.

"The huntress ends her prey."

He dashes by RW4, RW3, and RW2. He moves too fast for any of the 3 of them to see, or defend against.

At first it seems like he didn't do anything. Then all 3 heads roll off their shoulders in different directions, as their bodies collapse to the ground.

Still dashing around at high speeds, he then turns his gaze to the last guy. (RW1)

"You could surrender."

If not, well, he can observe his 3 headless friends.
