Re: OOC and General Rules

Well, it looks like your druid now the group's healer.  I have no problem with that, as I am ready for that, and it fits my character's personality and deity.  Except that I don't even have a healer's kit, and my healing won't go to far with a party of six.  Don't get hit!!!  :D

Catessa Fallowfield:
Also, does anyone have rope and climbing gear, crowbar, light, oil, fire, etc?  I have extra money to spend if necessary to spend, along with 4 sunrods.

None of it. =( My appologies, it never crossed my mind. I have a bit of money though, so once the game starts, if there is need, I'll buy some supplies too.

I have a rope, but that's it.  We monks don't have a lot of worldly goods, you know.

I'm finished, with the exception of buying something else if needed.  i can also donate, with DM permission, the money to anyone who needs it.  Maybe in game if feasible.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I would be interested to know how familiar everyone is with the material in general(The world of pathfinder)and specifically(Rise of the Runelords)?  If you are familiar with RotR, do you think I should put a mature or adult rating on the game?  There are a few parts that could get problematic.

Everyone is 21 or over.

I like the starting interactions.

I would also like to discuss game speed.  I love character interactions, but I would also like to advance the story.  I would like to "fast forward" the story after a couple of days of interactions on a scene.  Take the current scene of people at the festival.  After a couple of days would it be acceptable to everyone if I said "...and the rest of the festival was fun.  Describe in 1 post what you do with the rest of the day" or whatever the next scene is.  I will not try to mess with your character (unless they deserve it by poking a stick at the uncaged lion, or something equally silly).  Discuss...

Re: OOC and General Rules

I personally prefer 'Adult' games.  Especially if the GM allows for player adult interactions (Not cybering... ewe) but some flirting, some discussions, some interactions, and definitely other things that just can't be done in a PG-13 game.

But others often have issues with this so I'll go with the majority.  But if a swing vote I go for 'Adult'.

As for the game systems.  Just found them within this last week so I'm still learning them.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I don't have a preference for Mature or Adult games, but instinctively favour the most permissive in any given situation, so I guess my vote's for "adult" (although I shall certainly not be doing anything R rated.)

On the other hand, I DO like the DM to move the story on after a day or so of player interactions (and keeping combat as short as possible as well if THAT blocks the plot).

Re: OOC and General Rules

With regards to game speed, I have no problem with fast forwarding.  Generally, if something serves a useful purpose or adds to the game experience, I generally say "All the better".  Moving the game forwards when it bogs down is always a plus.

I have no real need to rate the game adult.  My play and descriptions are usually PG-13.  I guess the real question is:  Is the reason you want the rating worth the possible trouble you can get in if someone under 18 sneaks in?

Re: OOC and General Rules

I think I would prefer ADULT as well.  Anything that moves the story along is fine by me.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Ok, we all seem to be of like mind.  I will give everyone the rest of the day to interact with each other and ask question about specific places.  I should be able to post the next scene tonight.  I am also working on an npc list.  Have fun.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I'm fine with the game fast forwarding. If it helps move things along, it sounds good to me.

Adult? I don't really care, I suppose. I'll be posting pg13 material either way, but I won't be offended by anything R. Go for it, if that's what the majority wants.
Though Catessa has a good point. If anyone now or later is lying about their age, it could cause trouble for you.

Re: OOC and General Rules

The most trouble it'll cause honestly is that we'll lose a player.  As long as the GM has a proper Adult Notification thread up first for all Players and they've all posted there first then the Mod's are happy.

I turned a couple games I GM from regular to Adult and found it out the hard way.  But only lost one player due to them lying about their age.
