I'm 4'1" tall.  That's not very short.

Re: OOC and General Rules

ok, 2 small, 1 shorter, 1 tall.  Remember, you're only 1 foot taller than a Gnome so you wouldn't be considered 'Tall' folk to them.

Re: OOC and General Rules

  Lol.  It looks like we'll have a fifth player.  It would definitely be funny to have four short folk and one mountain. :)

Comparatively, I think I count as one of the tall folk as well.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Did everyone read the houserules; so no one will be surprised

House-rules
- poison is For 1/2
  (and generally unavailable for pc's)
- turn undead variant (does damage to undead)
- Hp, max at 1st and 2nd, then fixed
d4=2
d6=3
d8=4
d10=6
d12=7
- increases in Int give retroactive skill points
- all skills cost 1 skill point (normal maximums apply)
- Sor gain the Eschew Material Components feat

Review your sheets and be sure to purchase skills for 1 point.

Re: OOC and General Rules

  You mean that even cross-class skills only cost one point?  I read it, but didn't know that's what you meant.  It doesn't matter for my character though.  I am happy with my chosen skills.  But maybe next level.

Yes, cross-class skills cost 1, but cross-class maximums still apply

Re: OOC and General Rules

Do we have to post in combat in initiative order, or will the DM sort it out whatever order we post in?

Re: OOC and General Rules

My guess; no waiting, but only after the goblins have gone. Just a guess though.

My apologies for not being on yesterday. My roommate stole the computer. If it happens in the future I'll make the arduous 4 block trek to the computer lab.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Do you have implements of torture in the computer lab, of sufficient quality to dissuade your roommate from such an heinous crime?

Lol, I don't think it would work. She's scarier then most torture devices.

Re: OOC and General Rules

   That's pretty scary.

  Then again maybe not.  Torture devices don't frighten me.  They are harmless.  The people that USE torture devices scare me. :)

Re: OOC and General Rules

Glum, I feel for you man.  Ohh, the wonderful world of random rolls...  Do remember, a 1 on a skill check is NOT an auto fail and trust me, I can roll bad too.  Is now a good time to confess, I tend to be unlucky.  Really, my friends didn't believe in luck, until they met me.  Just saying....

[Private to Garth Oakenshield: So draw weapon.    With a Bab of +1 you can combine a draw weapon with a move action if you want.]

Re: OOC and General Rules

  That sounds ominous.

  Are you rolling your own dice, DM?  I noticed a weird effect with personal dice that you use all the time.  They aren't random anymore, but seem to roll either really good, or really bad, depending on your mood.

  As a DM, I have to switch dice I roll periodically.  Or the players are doomed.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I think a 1 on a skill check to intimidate two goblins who are currently of the opinion they are both conquering heroes, and whose opinion is being bolstered by the screams of the people around, probably is as close to an auto fail as it's possible to get.surely?

Re: OOC and General Rules

I would hazard to guess that rolling a 1 in that instance means that you just stuck both fingers up your nose and waggled your tongue at them with your fly down and doing the pelvic thrust with your knees in tight.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I was imagining a minor mistake in Goblinese grammar whereby instead of exhorting the two goblins to get lost while their betters had their fill, in fact, I invited them to engage in sexual congress.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Nah... they're goblins.  Why'd'you think there are so MANY of them?  (Then again, in the GURPS supplement, "Goblins" a female Goblin can become pregnant from "reading a racy novel", so maybe they don't do such things.)
