Hm, interesting, why do you bring it up though?

Zelda:
Okay, so somehow I just noticed that three PCs have had a parent die in a car accident. I find this morbidly amusing.

I think that's pretty common with characters who have lost a parent. Now that you bring it up, though, I'll change the circumstances under which Amy passed away. I find the coincidence kind of...weird.

By the way, the anime Gun x Sword actually involves something similar as a plot point.

Actually, i already have half a page of scribbles based on car crashes. So, don't. :)

As for polaris, well, it's a spoiler. And none of you familiar with it means more fun for me!

Fair enough. I'll avoid saying much more about that anime, though.

There is not a single person registered in this game that doesn't have some tragedy befalling their mother.

Depends if jaybird/Miranda counts yet or not until if or when he's gotten his butt over here. In either case I sadly think the best idea is to not wait much longer on him.

Speaking of things we've been waiting on, has a location or starting time of year been decided on yet?

Definitely Zelda.

Speaking of which, I forget if I said this in one of the previous threads but Heartcatch Precure! is SO good.

...Also also I notice your Myth-weavers sheet isn't updated yet, i.e.- it still has only five Charms on it and whatnot. And you obviously don't have any use for the Weaponry dots any more.

I thought we'd decided on the game being set in San Francisco. As for the time, what about the beginning of the school year? Or even the end. How much of an issue we want real life to be?

And weirdly enough, my inspiration for Princess is Final Fantasy Tactics.

Maybe? We never definitively said "Yes, it's going to be San Francisco."

I say either at the beginning or some time during. Beginning or close to the beginning could certainly be interesting on my end, since it will mean that Zelda doesn't really know anyone at school yet.*

* Except Shira, whom we previously agreed that Zelda was introduced to in the Dreamlands near the end of the previous school year, and maybe the cheer squad if we want to say that tryouts and the first few practices were at least a little in advance of classes starting (that's a thing that some schools do, right?). Oh, and I guess Shira's two friends since Zelda moved to SF early-to-mid summer and therefore would have had time to meet Shira in person and get introduced to the twins.

Personally I vote "moderately," especially since that means more chances to make use of social skills.

Re: Miyu's Comfy Chocolate Chat Corner

We'll keep character sheets on this site. Everyone should have an editable one in their character details. If it's not, yell.

The game seems to be set somewhere near San Francisco. Perhaps we can pick one of the suburbs, tho I must confess I am thoroughly unfamiliar with  that area. Google Maps shows that Pleasanton has a name that conforms to our game tone, plus there's the nearby Mt. Diablo. All the stereotypes right there. Also ranked the 4th most desirable city to live in in the US.

Thoughts?

Hey don't forget to grab an avatar for your characters. I would like to see what the closest RPOL equivalent to how you see your characters' faces.

The character description page is just a blank text box, and no offense to the template that MReav made but I'd much rather use my current Myth-Weavers link.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if that really works for Nina,* and it almost certainly doesn't for Miranda if jaybird de-AWOLs.

* In that I'm assuming a vagrant would much rather be in the big city proper than a wealthy suburb an hour and twenty minutes' bus ride away.

I actually spent a while looking the other day and didn't find one I liked.

The character sheet is in Character Details in the top left corner.

Still, if you prefer the Myth Weavers' website, that's your call.

Re: Miyu's Comfy Chocolate Chat Corner

That's what I thought, in which case I'll stick with the sheet that's already formatted all nice and stuff (i.e.- the MW one).

Speaking of which, MReav, I take it you're still picking Charms? As for your skills, personally I'd switch that transformed Athletics dot with one of the mundane Brawl dots for prerequisite purposes, though really it's your Dexterity that's keeping you out of most of the good Styles.

Re: Miyu's Comfy Chocolate Chat Corner

just put a link to the mw sheet in the space reserved for your char sheet then. If you have free time, it'd be nice to put the numerical stuff here so I don't have to check another site each time I think of something.

Cool, that just leaves Rd's sheet then.

Eh, I guess I can do that, it's going at the bottom though.

EDIT: ...Or the character sheets you apparently created for us at some point just started showing up for me. I will use both since I'm guessing the one here is currently private to you.

Re: Miyu's Comfy Chocolate Chat Corner

Update: Having two character sheets seemed like it would be really tedious so I replaced the one on this site with the MW link and a "Quick Stats" section containing pretty much all of her dot values except merits.

Comments on other characters:

Shira: I don't see it marked or recorded anywhere which Charm is your Practical. You also missed a few spots when updating your stats, specifically your Charm families under "Powers," your Defense, your Kensai damage, and your armor (Barrier Jacket is 1/1 now).

Nina: If I'm reading her backstory right then Nina's only been homeless and an orphan for a year at most, yes? If so then PT: Vagrant makes less sense to me than something representing her Hunter training, like Occultist or a custom "Monster Hunter (Firearms, Occult)" profession. You might have thought of that already and picked Vagrant anyway though, I obviously don't know. Also Small-Framed says it means you're under five feet tall, but that's kind of whatever.

I didn't think of that, I admit. I'll ask Phlegyas about the Monster Hunter PT.

As for Small-Framed, I imagined Nina as a shorty, like Murphy from the Dresden Files. Now, she might still be too tall for the merit, so I'll think on it.
