Log 4-3
Dracos realizes that his phone doesn't work in the silence zone.
You are in a personal library. Books line the walls in bookshelves. Leather Victorian furniture lays about the room and a Venetian rug is spread across the floor.
Jaguar steps over the wall and pushes a button just below the light switch. His voice is more calm now. "I have rerouted the program. If we have been followed, the door exits elsewhere now."
He motions you all to take a seat as he sits in a mahogany recliner. "As you know, I am an Exile, one of the Merotechs. Tonight, Da Vinci, the Merotech second in command -- second only to the Merovingian -- will be meeting with a leader of the Shadow Regime. Human and Exile to exchange terms of a truce."
His leg is bouncing nervously up and down. "Like any Exile, I fear those five words that mean the end of my existence: 'You have no more purpose.' My purpose, I think, is to help you. This meeting cannot lead to anything good for humans or for the good Exiles. You should be there to hear what is said, take that information back to Zion. Then you'll know what you're dealing with."
He glances at his watch. "Timing is critical. The meeting is at 8:00 tonight. It is now 7:30. But there is more. I believe the Awakened will also have a spy there to hear out the meeting. You must not hurt any of the Awakened. They, of anyone, will sympathize most with Zion's cause."
He says, "I have seen things, helped developed them. My purpose among the Merotechs is genetic coding. They are developing soldiers to fight this war...soldiers that will bring out your every fear of the Matrix. Vampire, werewolves, these things we fear in the night...they are part of this code. The Merotechs have two prototypes of a vampire model called: 'Vlad' and 'Bram.' A werewolf prototype, 'Jack,' has also been completed. If you can destroy these prototypes, it will set back their development."
He pauses. "In the target building, there is a hall where no elevators go, where no stairs lead. If you can find it, then enter door 3. Destroy the servers within and you will effectively destroy the genetics research to date."
He recrosses his legs, shifts uncomfortably. "Da Vinci holds a small device, like a remote control. It changes the reprogramming sequences for the doors. If you can get it, it will prove invaluable later. If you can't, then at least try to destroy it."
He pulls out a paper, unfolds it, and says, "As you can guess, I want something in return. The Awakened have offered to let me join them, but to earn their trust, I must give them something. I would like to give them Da Vinci. Alive. If you can bring him back to me, I will give you codes and information that Zion will find to be most...useful."
He waits to see if there are any questions.
