Re: Log 4-5

"I thought you would never ask."

Pulling his pistol from the holster just inside his jacket, Shadow drops to a knee just inside the elevator door and opens fire at the passenger until he has hit him several times.
Shadow then shifts his fire to the rear of the vehicle in an attempt to rupture the fuel tank.

In between bullets Shadow yells "No slow pokes. Anybody got a bigger gun?"

Re: Log 4-5

The agent fires another shot.  This one hits a car next to Cala.

The Lincoln Towncar screeches up closer.  The driver jumps out, and the passenger fires again.  His shot is wild because the car is still stopping, but his next shot will be clear.

Everyone manages to get in the elevator.  The Agent is jumping out and running toward you.

The other agent is aiming at the elevator...

The elevator doors are still open.

The first agent will reach you in about three seconds.  The other one might fire a shot at any time.

Re: Log 4-5

Remaining in focus speed, Screed hits the back of the elevator, spins and crouches.  Beads of sweat start forming on Screed's brow as he assesses the situation.  Screed calmly says, "Push close door, please," while reaching into his bag and pulling out two pistols, one in each hand.  He fires his laser pistol at the legs of the approaching agent.  Bringing up his blaster in his other hand he then fires it in a group of three at the legs of the approaching agent.

FYI, the agents are not apparently in Focus Speed, but that doesn't mean they can't dodge, etc. as though they are.

Re: Log 4-5

ROUND 1
Screed uses 3 CB Fatigue Points and goes into Focus mode.

Jade leans against the wall and pushes the button.

Everyone else stands around like sitting ducks.

Screed drops to his knees, drawing his gun and firing without aiming.

The Agent is squeezing the trigger...

Screed's shot from the laser pistol hits the approaching Agent in the shoulder...

Screed is raising his blaster and will be able to fire it next round.

The Agent stops and looks down at the wound in what can only be described as surprise.

The button still has not engaged the doors to close.

The firing Agent shoots at the open elevator...like shooting fish in a barrel.

Shadow is hit in the side for 8 points of damage.

The other Agent resumes his course toward the elevator.  Screed's shot has bought you about 2 seconds.

Screed thinks, why aren't the doors closing?  He says, "Prepare to go up," as he aims the blaster at the advancing agent and fires in a group of three. And then again.

A moment passes before Shadow realizes that a bullet has hit him.  "Ow.  That doesn't feel right." Taking a step back into the elevator to avoid any further shots and to examine his wound.

OOC: I know, but Screed is scared and hyped under that cool exterior.  He's the one that always wants to run and hide.  The doors should close before anyone has a chance to move through the top, I guess, but it's really where he wants to go, anywhere but here.  Also, Screed immediately went into focus speed when leaving the van, so where are we on that?  Did he use all 9 actions to get to the elevator and is on his second set?  Or is he further down on the first initiation of it?  He is keeping focuse speed going until he is away from the agents.

Re: Log 4-5

I'll give you a freebie since I wasn't keeping score on running out of the van and it really didn't play a part since the Agents were still rounding the corner.

Remember that CB Fatigue equals your strength, and then you can borrow from HT but will suffer physical fatigue as well.  And it costs 3 CB Fatigue for each second you use Focus.

Re: Log 4-5

The doors begin to close...

Screed fires three shots in Focus mode.  Apparently now aware of the danger, the Agent turns and dodges them.

The other Agent fires.  His shot hits the elevator door with a loud clank.

The first Agent sees the door closing and begins to move very quickly...

Dracos is pulling out his weapon still...

And the doors close.  Unfortunately, no one has pushed a floor.  The numbers go from B3 through L.

Re: Log 4-5

Screed tries to catch his breath as he says, "No, R is for right, L is for left."  The blood starts to come back to his face as he chuckles and straightens up.

"Okay, the agents are either going to wait for the elevator or take the stairs.  Since the stairs are on the other side we have a bit of time.  When it opens, we need one person to look, another to move and grab something to block the elevator door, and everyone to look for the service elevator or a map.  Not getting killed should be up there on the priority."  He looks around the elevator waiting for them to reach the lobby.  "We probably need to put these away also."  He reloads and puts his weapons away.

Re: Log 4-5

"Or at least shot again in my case."

Despite the wound Shadow seems not to be suffering as much as he should be.

"Lucky my jacket is black, should blend in.  Besides chicks dig gunshot wounds."

With a quick wink towards the females nearby, Shadow puts away his pistol preparing to leave and begins to hum to whatever tune is playing in the elevator.
