Re: DH players wanted

My DH game of 6800+ posts that has been going strong for almost a year now might be looking for one more player as the group is splitting in two.

I need a player who can post at least once a day Monday-Thursdays.  If you cannot post at least once a day or inform me if you need a break (hey, real life comes first but I need a heads up) then please do not apply.

I am not taking first come first served but I will add any interested people as lukers so they can act as spares.  We have not had a drop out in months so I want serious players only.

So if you are 18+ please post that in your request to join along with a basic character concept and a name for your character so I can add you.  All rolls will be with the dice roller and a new character will start with 1000 xp and two months salary worth of gear.
The Inquisitor's Handbook may be used, but as I just picked it up any things from it must include a page number as it will be some time before I get a chance to read it all.

The group currently has-
2 Arbitrators (no more needed)
1 Scum
1 Tech Priest
3 Guardsmen (no more needed)
1 Priest
1 Adept

Thanks for taking a look.

Re: DH players wanted

Ordo Hereticus: Warhammer 40k rp  link to another game

In the grim dark future of the 41st Millenia, there is only war.
Nothing is more true then that simple sentiment in Ordo Hereticus.  It is dark, the enemies of man are legion and you are but one soul pitted against the madness of the void and the warp, one soul that will be twisted, burnt, brutalized and eventually killed in the name of the Holy God Emperor so that the citizens of His holy Empire may sleep peacefully another night knowing that the agents of the throne bleed in their stead.

Ordo Hereticus is an easily approached game with a flexible approach to Dark Heresy.
Most games are played one on one with the GM and have no posting requirements.  This is not to say players cannot work together, it is just not something started at the onset of play.
Players do no neccessarily start at the beginning levels and character templates and origins are flexible and can even become unreasonable as a bolter is a bolter, and not many things can stop one from pulping your skull.  That being said, after the first battle and familiarization steps have been walked through a characters survivability drops dramatically.  Dice rolls wont save a character who willingly walks into a ship with auto cannon turrets with pheromone locking devices.  At that point dodging just spreads the gore out more.

There are no age requirements as sexual conduct is not often explored in Warhammer 40k and a 'fade to black' approach will be used in such instances.

Send over a RTJ with any questions you may have and we can begin hammering out a template, history and story that you, the player, choose and would like to progress.

It might require some reading of what has been going on but nonetheless it can be a rewarding experience of you put the work into it.

Mines always taking on players as it's a slow pace game.  Most of my players post maybe 3 times a week.  Individual stories make it easier for them to enjoy a looser game with more character developement and 'adventure' to a sorts.

Re: DH players wanted

Hey all. I'm interested in GM'ing a game. I've already got the beginnings of a game on www.storycrafter.com. Three characters were randomly generated, and then I ran a prelude for each. Two of my players dropped out, however, before their preludes were even finished (and they didn't post often enough anyway). I'm also considering RPG tonight for real-time rpg play.

You can have a look at my style of GM'ing here:

http://www.storycrafter.com/st...dex.php?storyid=4822

Click on 'show all acts' to see the threads.

"Fall of the house of Drake" is a completed tale, and the player is standing by; the other two are not.

Characters are randomly generated and then fleshed out in the prelude.

All game-play happens in the narrative threads, all OOC chat and dice-rolling happens in the 'tabletop' chat.

Post here or PM me here or over there if you're interested.

I may switch over to RPOL from now on. I haven't made a descision, yet. Storycrafter seems easier to use and less cluttered-looking....

Re: DH players wanted

I need a replacement player for a feral guardsman in a long running campaign.  I know it is hard to take over a character, especially mid-mission, but if someone is up to the task they will be given the option to make a new character after the mission is finished, or continue playing the mighty Fazel.

Applicants must be able to post once a day through the week and must be 18+ as this is an adult game.  Please send me a message here if you think you are up to the task.  The group is currently undercover on a low tech world.

Here is his sheet-

BACKGROUND:
Fazel came from the brutal world of Phraxus IV.  Many hundreds of years ago his
ancestors crashed into the radioactive desert planet.  Managing to salvage some
gear and a few large crawlers from the wreckage, Fazel's people fled keeping
just ahead of the broiling radioactive dust clouds.  To make matters worse Fazel's
people were not the only intelligent life on the planet.  Many years before
the lizard xenos of Phraxus IV destroyed their world in a nuclear yard.  Changed
by the radiation, the few survivors became little more than animals and saw
Fazel's people as a threat.  Using the solar powered crawlers the people of
The Stormclaw lived a nomadic life of near constant movement.  Battles at scattered
oasis for food with the xenos, rad clouds, and heat killed many but the Stromclaw
grew.  Over the course of many years they began to thrive and pack insects were
caught and the few hundred strong clan continued to grow especially after they
managed to capture a few rad proof bunkers from the Xenos to set up a few safe
havens.  One day a great chariot of fire fell and the Stormclaws
were all invited to join the Emperor's army and were taken from their hellish
home to rejoin the great Imperium of Man.

Fazel was but a child when he left Phraxus IV nearly 10 years ago, but even at
that age Fazel had learned to fight and survive in the harshest of lands.  He
quickly grew stronger under the tuition of the Imperial Guardsmen and trained for
6 years aboard a large spaceship that was his new home.  Forgoing traditional
las weapon for more traditional, the Stormclaws trained with muskets,
shotguns, and melee weapons above all else.  The Stormclaws were called into
battle when Fazel was only 18 and he saw many horrors fighting back riots on
a hive world.  His whole unit, and perhaps all his people, were killed by
chaos cultists who were behind the riots, leaving Fazel wounded, dazed, and
all alone.  Despite his wounds Fazel fought more than a dozen mutated cultists
all by himself and refused to retreat and allow the scum across a bridge
leading to a nuclear power relay.

Fazel was noticed by an old inquisitor by the name of Garnet.  Garnet was not
one to be easily impressed, but such a display of bravery was to be rewarded.
Fazel was taken into his care and given papers allowing him to leave the
Imperial Guards and join Garnet as a hunter of evil within the vast Empire.
Fazel and his new boss hitched a ride off planet and began to gather others for
the quiet inquisitor's plan.  Nearly four years have past...

Personality:
Fazel is quiet, and tends to think before speaking.  He is not quick to anger
but when he does it is a sight to behold.  Fazel also has a strong sense of
honour, and anyone tasked with his is seen as kin and to be protected (as long
as they act the same way towards him).  Fazel is very loyal to Garnet, although
he is treated more as a servant than an equal.  In the tribal, nomadic life that
Fazel knew before joining that is fine with him and he knows his place.

Trying to get a handle on being in command.
Wants his crew trained and ready for anything.
Lacks faith in the Emperor?

Background and Notes:
Titus has all the characteristics of a man raised beneath the steam-driven bootheel of the Adeptus Mechanicus. His skin bears an oily sheen, the tanned flesh glistening when exposed to any form of luminenescence. His blue eyes are bright and vibrant, like the electricity that enlivens the constructs of the Machine God. Shocking white hair sweeps back from his high forehead as if he had strayed to close to the thrumming magno-heart of a war machine factory. His frame is reedy thin and malnourished, as though he were drawn one too many times through the cogs of the Tech cultist's ideology. Even the musk that rises from his pores carries the sharp, burnt-metallic taste of machinery at work.

Over his slim body he wears a set of dark blue coveralls, though the hue is not near deep enough to mask the splotches of black grease and white lubriplate that have stained its weave. Over his torso he wears an open vest of some thick-padded material, where various small fetishes picked up from the gutters of a Forge World dangle like trophies. Around his waist, where a toolbelt would conceivably sit, rests instead a wide belt of dark leather with a slim pistol, plain but functional, in a holster. Balancing the pistol is a fat workman's knife in a rigid sheathe of hard plastik. Over his shoulder, a stubby autogun with a fat drum magazine under its barrel swings in a brown leather sling.

My Dark Heresy game, Hereticus in Umbra, needs another player to take over a young female Guardswoman named Abigail. It's a more high powered game then usual, featuring a relatively high ranking cell of Inquisitor Vownus Kaede on the planet Alactra hunting the heretic who killed their previous Prime.

Posting rate is slow to average, GM updates between 3-4 times a week under normal circumstances. Sometimes more when things are fast moving.
