I may be wrong, but I seem to recall seeing this game before. We're talking a LOOOOONG time ago though .. back when WD was in double digits.

In reply to hairyheretic, or to hairless heretics or average to fairly hair covered dissidents to the Throne the "Old", "New" game rules are out for Chaos Marauders.

http://new.fantasyflightgames....ge_news.asp?eidn=742

All this wait for SpaceHulk and it looks like a one shot at 100 U.S. dollars, 4-kg box, new minis, gobs of blips, sure, but no expansions to be added? Even GW joked about another realease in 2039 for the 50th anniversary, thanks guys you now have fallen a notch farther down the peg.  Has anyone heard if the game design was changed at all?  Or is this 100 bones for twenty odd missions?

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

Seem to be a rerelease of 1.ed more then 2.ed
Otherwise except for the shiny new figures i expect nothing new but for a person who never owned and only played Space hulk this is a godsend
It also means i can corrupt a younger generation with the glory that is Space hulk

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

In reply to Algard the Senior Cardinal Ignato already had set aside the gelt for the game, but I suppose you do make a good point Algard.  They did after all finally bring the Hulk back, in what ever form the game is still a prize on the shelf, like a finely crafted Blood Bowl pitch.  So many games this year it is staggering, even if the new Hulk only has twenty missions it may take me till the 50th Anniversary to get around to playing all the missions.  Praise Algard for his virtues of humble, pious, loyal and patience while serving the Throne  Hey flakk we deal out XP on the forum Algard was brave and true in the face of corruption?  Although his insanity points may have taken a hit ;)

See you on the flip-side of the blips Algard!

If its a one off rerelease, are they adding in the stuff from the original expansions to this main pack?

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

Played an intro of the new Space Hulk yesterday morning, good news is that it is pretty much the old space hulk rules so we still have the oh so fun command points etc, the flamer has been changed a bit and the marines now have limited time to take their turn to speed things up a bit. They seem intent to use the word broodlord in all things nid instead of Patriarch but that is just a the GW vet in me moaning. £60 for all those termies and steelers is bloody good value if you do a SM and nid army and they are really good looking models. I hate to say it but GW has done a good job with it [looks around and waits for the Gods of all things Right an Just to start the smiting].

In reply to flakk (msg #60):

Received my pre-order of Space Hulk yesterday :-)

Much goodness.

And in all honesty will probably be used with my Necromunda sets and vice versa for some real interesting combinations

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

I didn't get mine yesterday... Maybe today

It seems that lots of people have gotten theirs in advance, atleast what I saw on Warseer. Did you order through GW?

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

Yeah I did it through GW directly.  Old habit when buying things from them is just to do it directly.

Hopefully it has more luck than the old Bloodquest one did.

What I really want to see is a LotR scale epic production of the Heresy or the 13th Black Crusade :)

Well if you did 13th black crusade you would have to have someone to cast as Logan Grimnar. As he was The Astates Commander during the campaign. He worked hand in hand with Creed. Even the Emo angels followed his lead during it.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

I played a couple games of Space Hulk over the weekend.  I am sure we screwed up a lot of rules but it was great fun anyway.  I found a few rather short FAQs online but does anyone know of good ones out there?  2 games and not even a close call to be had as both times the marines only made it half-way to the objective in mission #1.
